NBA 2K11 My Player Mode Detailed

its suppose to be fun mabey the fans wont say trade him but they all think it (in real life) if a guys being an a hole its not like a fan has a say over if joe johnson gets traded or signs with a new team but they take it one step further and had them chant it to me it would be fun to hear the fans of a team i dread to be on to scream trade him to me

Well being from Seattle, if I get drafted by OKC…you know I’ll be demanding a trade as soon as I can. I figure I’ll do the same thing if the Clips come a drafting too. Maybe I won’t be come loved as quick as possible, but I don’t care I’d rather stick it to Clay than be loved by that group.

I’m a tad more optimistic that the features and such 2K11 will have will actually have some substance… some meat to them, not just “filler”. I’ll say this though. I’m surprised that we haven’t seen/heard a lot about 2K11′s gameplay. Most of the insights have been about features. Of the official 2K vids we’ve seen, most have been about Jordan, or features. I know they’ve shown us some pre-final builds of the game, and they weren’t bad. But they weren’t spectacular either. I mean from what I’ve seen so far, other than new animations and new player movement (which are appreciated), there isn’t much new in terms of gameplay, and I hate to hear that because some of 2K’s big problems OFFLINE are with ball morphing, the fact boxing out doesn’t have an effect on rebounding, so-so Defensive Logic. Now at least 2K’s sliders work (at least in 2K9 for me they do), but it doesn’t fix all those problems. In a long way haha I’m saying you might have a point there.

2K has NEVER been great. 2K creates the players with great detail and great animations, but outside of that it’s just good. 2K has been a solid and better bball title since 2007.

The servers cower to EA, if theres a problem it takes an eon to fix, you still can’t save rosters or settings prior to going online, you can still abuse over and over again scoring in the paint with the best players and the best teams.

Just wait until the demo drops and see who has the better controlled game. Because right now both games have Jordan Challenges. Bith games claim great control. The only things I see 2K has for sure woin is the player detail and the player animations, other than that it’s all up in the air.

the audio is just terrible! and how come all the reporters are female and look exactly the same. though its a great idea, i just dont see me keep doing this in my career and not think its boring

Do you need an upside for being arrogant or an asshole? I mean They are in it for themselves. Not for the fans or for their teammates. They choose to act that way and know their will be punishments for it. If someone like T.O calls out his QB, he knows there isnt going to be an upside to it. But he chooses to act that way anyway. Same thing here perhaps.

Talk about replay value wow! you got basically got three games in one !this is worth $60 please 2k fix the online play and its a wrap! just a side note is anyone else bored with madden already

To answer your questions. 1) I hope they do fix online this year. Everything else seems like it has improved from last year so them fixing that would make this game near perfect.
2) Hell yeah I’m bored with Madden. The problem with Madden this year is that it has almost no replay value whatsoever. They haven’t changed Franchise or Superstar mode in years and those game modes where the ones that added the most replay value. Another issue I’m having is finding the right difficulty settings to make the game challenging, but with having my WRs drop every pass and the CPU break every tackle. I think I have managed to find a middle ground between the All Pro difficulty (too easy) and All Madden (Not too hard, the CPU just cheats more).
As an aside, I think 2K programming the game the way it was last year is what ultimately contributed to the poor online experience. What I mean by that is, look at how many times your the accessed the servers while in “offline” mode. As soon as you turn on the game it has to pause to access current information from the servers. As a programmer myself, I can tell you how difficult it is to fully test how something will work when there are hundreds of thousands of users accessing the servers simultaneously. Hopefully they will be better prepared to meet that type of demand this year. Especially since they might actually eat more into the sales of the EA basketball franchise.

LOL Elite? doens’t even have my player mode, graphics? suck this year, idk how they’re going to pick them selves up after this year. The only thing elite improved was the floor =.=.
