Madden NFL 13 Cover Candidates: AFC East

EA Sports continues their reveal of candidates for the upcoming 64 player tournament to capture the cover of Madden NFL 13. One division per day will be announced leading up to the start of voting in the round of dual team representatives on March 7th.

Today’s division is the AFC East which offers up tournament favorites in the way of Darrelle Revis and Rob Gronkowski. The Bills get the weakest duo with Ryan Fitzpatrick who tanked after getting a big contract extension and Stevie Johnson who is a free agent and potentially could leave town. Fred Jackson, Cameron Wake, and Vince Wilfork are the most deserving players that realistically could have been involved but are left on the outside looking in.

Buffalo Bills: Ryan Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson
Miami Dolphins: Brandon Marshall and Reggie Bush
New England Patriots: Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker
New York Jets: Darrelle Revis and Mark Sanchez

Brady is one of those players that is too expensive. He doesn’t need the cover, there’s so little value in it to someone like him, while other players could get much more out of it.

Another sale gimmick once agian. How much worse does it get? I liked it best when Madden himself was actually on the cover. Or when I was surprised and happy with who was on the cover. Now they just break it down for the anticipation build up before the game comes out. Any moron can see that. WTF is even the point of having most of these players that obviously arnt going to win the cover in a tourny? Poor EA. Even now it’s slogan is a gimmick.
