The roster update following Wild Card Weekend for Madden NFL 13 is expected to release by Saturday for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The update returns players from IR and readjusts depth charts for the teams now eliminated from the playoffs. All teams, not just those involved in the postseason, continue to receive changes to player ratings following further evaluation.

Arian Foster edges up to 98 with Duane Brown and Marshawn Lynch moving to 97. Russell Okung rises 3 points to 91, Justin Tucker 4 to 78, Paul Kruger 3 to 83, and Earl Thomas 2 to 94. Ray Lewis drops 2 points to 91 while Andy Dalton and Jermaine Gresham each lose a point.

The Ravens (+8) along with Seahawks and Packers (+6) are the biggest beneficiaries of the update in terms of net players gaining vs losing in ratings. The Saints and Titans (-4) take the biggest hits followed by the Cardinals, Bills, and Browns (-3). Continue on for the full details on the next Madden NFL 13 roster update and leave any thoughts in the comments!

Only updated some teams? I mean really? They should have evaluated players by their team by year stats, every team and player not some…

  • named

The last update should put Ray Lewis at a 99 just to honor that beast mo’ fucker

  • Nflfan

How does Michael Johnson have 11.5 sacks and a pick….and not break 80 OVR? Gilberry had 6 sacks in a partial year, and is 69 OVR? Peko is underrated. Many guys, especially on offense should go down…. At some point the defense needs a major overhaul. I know very few care about the Bengals. They have been a great defense for years. Ratings are hard to do for each team. I understand that. It really does seem very off for the Bengal Defense

  • WildFireXXI@yahoo

These look like the catchup ratings that they missed from Christmas week. Solid.

  • Veteran of Madden

Boy r they desperate to keep people interested in this dying franchise, maybe, if we’re lucky, the next gen will help, but this version stinks. As long as we keep getting better results with low rated backups, because of speed and strength ratings, this game will never truly represent the NFL.

  • GreenBowlPackers

Jared Allen got a sack in the playoff game and was just inches away from having 2 more in the same game. Naturally, EA has decided to drop him a point while Chris Cook spent the better part of the last 2 games of the year getting burnt, so he got a 1 point increase. Well done EA, well done…

  • Socal310

Chris Long goes down after a 3 sack performance?! Bullshit.

    • Venom4ya908

That’s what I’m saying!!! Wtf!!! The rams lead the league in sacks and they get downgraded hahahaha… Oh donnie

      • rasool

        exactly wut the fuck

    • CJ

Omg i thought i was the only one saw that shyt, smh

    • rasool

      exactly wut the fuck???

    • GKage

No love for the Rams unfortunately. I wish they would have a system in place for deciding who improves/declines based on performance…instead of being based on the “Donnie factor” -_-

    • grizz

I’m not understanding the disrespect they show the rams Chris long had a three sack perfomance and gets decrease and one thing that pissed me off is that mo Claiborne didn’t get an decrease for all the games hes been cooked and Jenkins been going up and down this whole season but Jenkins has out performed Claiborne in so many ways just down right disrespectful

    • http://twitter.com/hawksfan122 Ace McCloud®

oh no he went from 92 to 91. Let’s call bullshit and cry ! Shut up.

  • ratings are off

How does a guy with 11.5 sacks start season at 77 gets 11.5 sacks and end season at 79 I’m talking about Michael Johnson if you didn’t know

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/PRNYYXZW5CPECODQZM2VGFZKI4 Jwaan

What else does he do? That may be their logic…if the guy is good at pass rushing and nothing else, then why should he be rated highly?

I’m not refuting your point BTW, just really asking you reasoning on how he’s deserving of a higher rating.

      • JJ

Possibly the worst run defending DE in the league.

        • ratingsareoff

Even if that was true that wouldn’t make since Von Miller got benched last year because he didn’t play the run well and still got rating boost because of his sacks JJ Watt isn’t getting boost for tackle or passes batted down he gets them because of 20 plus sacks just like all other d-linemen and OLB I’m a Bengals I see how when our players do great and gets a boost other players that didn’t even play in the game drop we had a guy have a 2 sack game get decreased The Bengals d-line leads the league in most sacks and we getting them with 4 down linemen nothing fancy but this is one team that don’t get love a player can be the worst but to get 11.5 sacks on a team that rotates atleast 7 on the line is a great accomplishment and to only get a 2 point boost all season is crazy

  • derp

How is Rodgers NOT a 99ovr?

    • 49ersfan1

because aldon smith is gonna sack his ass in 2 days. they are too lazy to fix rodgers’s rating next week so they did it this week instead. ;) moore knows how to predict now!

  • djfan08

Wesley Woodyard finished the year with 117 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 3 picks! how is he not mid to high 80′s? if the ratings are supposed to represent the players performance. Horrible!!!

    • FrstRdDrftPk

LOL been saying this since last year! How about these facts; In the vid game Chris Harris can’t cover anybody, Derrick Wolfe and W Woodyard can’t tackle anybody, Vickerson and Bannan don’t get off blocks and can’t stop the run, and Mike Adams is awful in pass coverage and run defense. Yet somehow Denver’s D has managed to be #2 in the league and #3 overall. What a disaster.

    • RandomGuy

It not all about tackles. A RB can get past you in coverage but just because you catch him every time doesn’t mean you’re good.

      • Khadeem

dude Wesley Woodyard is a beast…he is great in coverage and it has nothin to do with his tackle total…he can turn and run and has great anticipation…even though i dont like the broncos i respect what woodyard is doin over there

  • bengal fan

Michael Johnson may be the most disrespected player in madden… Wow 79? With a better season then j peppers, Chris long, and almost every other 43 re in football..dont worry mike if u sign with another team you’ll be an instant star! I.e. Jonathan Joseph, takeo spikes…

    • JJ

Julius Peppers and Chris Long are strong run defenders, something MJ is not.

11 sacks isn’t anything in a passing league anyway, the real sacks Kings are hovering around 20.

      • Khadeem

Michael Johnson by no means should be a 79…he is a great pass rusher…he is a freak athlete…can spin outside, swim outside, and if you loaf he’ll bull rush you..watch him play b4 u disrespect him

  • Chris

Can any one tell me Shay ea has not done a roster update for online franchise since week for. What the heck

  • FrstRdDrftPk

EA Sports, it’s in the game. LOL. At this point, nothing surprises me with these horrible updates (or lack of updates). Playing with the Broncos D this year reminds me of the Colts D in ’07. Can’t stop the run, and LB’s can’t tackle anyone.

Difference is Broncos D is the #2 D in real life… But a wet paper bag in the game. This game has become Frustrating, disappointing, and terrible to play because the Broncs D is so crappy.

  • Lenry187

haven’t played madden in a month and will continue to do sooooo….

    • ajfgiants2627

Until madden 14 comes out cause you a typical madden hater

    • RandomGuy

I never bought Madden. I don’t see the point. I just keep Madden ’12 and updated it with the current rosters, schedule, and coaches.

      • ajfgiants2627

Thats a lie, you cant do that

        • RandomGuy

lol. Yes you can. Check the Operation Sports forums.

  • 49ersfan1

what did aldon smith, carlos rogers, donte whitner and isaac sopoaga do to get decreased? the 49ers didnt even play!

  • http://www.facebook.com/gabe.rox.9 Gabe Rox

Kevin Vickerson of the Broncos goes down after stuffing the run 2 weeks in a row. The Denver Dline continues to get jacked despite the 2nd ranked run defense in the entire NFL. Donny Moore you suck!

The Bucs have the no.1 run defense, but we have one player over 85 in our whole front seven! lol It is what it is though. Kuechly has an 86, but Lavonte David has almost as many tackles, but isn’t a middle linebacker. He’s doing it from the weakside. I know our pass D sucks, but we are the number 1 run d…

You guys are so annoying, always complaining about the game. Clearly EA has been dissappointing you guys for along time, and with every madden that comes out and every update 90% of you complain. I would think you guys have stopped playing the game by now. You guys still complain about every update like its a suprise. When theres a shitty update you complain like youve never seen it 1000 times before. Play the game or stop playing, but stop bitching on here thinking its gona change. None of your complaints mean anything. Yo just get better at the game. A bunch of rams fans on here thinking their players should be rated like the 49ers defense smh. Get better at the game, all you need is strategy to win. You dont need players all high 80′s and 90′s to win, you need a fucking strategy. So just get better cause there aint nothing wrong with the players, only something wrong with the individuals controlling them. Stop bitching, play the game or dont and keep comments to yourself, EA doesnt care what you have to say cause they know that regardless of all your complaints that you are all gona still play the game and EA is gonna keep making money. So EA aint worried about your bitching cause they still making money and thats all they care about.

    • JJ

      Complaining about complaining.

      Sounds legit.

      • ajfgiants2627

Yea but i aint complaining about the game dumbshit

  • ajfgiants2627

Oh Rams lead the league in sacks, but im it doesnt look like it one them games. Therefore rams defense doesnt deserve reconition. It was probly just there defensive scheme that got them sacks. Cause i dont see any jared allens, or jj watts, or demarcus ware, or aldon smith type players on the rams defense. You got justin long or jake long whatever his name is and james laurenitis. Those are your best players on your D. And both are not on the same level as pat willis, bowman, jpp, jj watt, aldon smith, jared allen, demarcus ware, brian urlacher, clay mathews, von millers so thats why they not rated like them.

    • grizz

People like u r stupid and probably how Donnie does his update… Because u don’t know the players on the rams d line u automatically think the don’t deserve what they deserve that’s lazy and lame just becuse the media show us no attention and your friends arnt going crazy about us mean they are any less.. then u can shut the fuck up about scheme cause if that was the case tom Brady Wes welker B Lloyd and the rest of them should be no higher then 89 for there scheme what a loser

      • ajfgiants2627

Rams sucks, you aloser and so is your team

      • ajfgiants2627

And no shit wes welker should not be any higher than an 89. Hes a good slot receiver, not a bigman, it doesnt take darelle revis or richard sherman to guard him. Wes welker is a good reciever but he aint playing on the outside. And youve seen how brandon lloyd played when hes on the broncos so if hes in the 90′s its cause youve seen his level of talent. Who was welker before the patriots. Ohh and ps. Rams defense isnt what you think. They arent getting media coverage because no one on that D has made a legit name for themselves except laurenitis and long. Just cause you cant win a game in madden with the rams doesnt mean they should be rated higher. Just tell the rams to play better next year

        • Khadeem

guess what brah…i can count on one had the receivers that can do what wes welker can do…stop hating….at 5-9 hes the perfect slot receiver because he has great quickness, hands, intellegence, and toughness….hes not a big target so its easy for him to get down and avoid big hits..and when he takes big hits he gets right back up…the only players i can really see consistently playing in the slot and being this efficient without being hurt are steve smith for carolina and percy harvin…there is a reason why these 6-3 receivers play the outside…and also as much as i like richard sherman aka the “sherminator” or “optimus prime”…he cant stop wes welker either

        • jake

Courtland Finnegan is pretty good. Two players on the all rookie team. Robert Quinn is getting damn good too. St. Louis is a smaller market so they will continue to get over looked. 72 Dolphins didn’t have stars on defense yet they were great. Defense is about 11 players all together doing what you have to do. Doesn’t matter how it happens. Rams aren’t there yet like some other fans seem to think, but next year they should be top 10 in defense, and in two years I see them as playoff bound. Who knows I hope they do at least lol.

  • rating is a joke!

Let’s get real everyone, Donnie is not doing a good job! Either he goes or me and everyone who buys Madden Football Games go buy something worthy!!!!!!!!! A waste of skillz, no talent at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rarrdino

49ers cut Brandon Jacobs…why is he still on the team???

  • Mason Drews

Hmm… I must have missed Dallas’ playoff game…

  • AmazinsCowboys

Why did guys on the Cowboys, and other teams, randomly go down? They didn’t even play last week.

  • Bakes

Glad to see Kuechly up to an 86. Could possibly be an 87 if Moore didn’t drop him down a point after posting 11 tackles. Moore simply has no logic about football, and instead of watching the games, he uses some website to do the work for him. The guy is a moron and needs to be released. Also took him 3 weeks to fix the jersey number of Graham Gano. Can’t believe he thought Gano wore John Kasay’s legendary #4.

  • GKage

How does Ray Lewis go down after recording 13 tackles? Come on Donnie what kind of logic is that really? o_O

  • http://twitter.com/mattw70 Matt Woodward

Leonard Hankerson got an increase? Skins fans were calling for him to be cut after gator arming that pass late in the game.He did nothing in the game to get an increase.

  • question these ratings

How did Kyle Cook get 2 rating drops?

  • SilkCB21

How do they decrease ray Lewis when he had a hell of a game??

  • RandomGuy

You all ever get tired of complaining week in week out. I admit I was one of those who complained a while back. But, at what point do you just give up? I’m just honestly asking. This isn’t anything new. People complain about the ratings year after year. As far as the gameplay and all that, you should have sold the game weeks ago. They clearly aren’t going to fix it until Madden ’14. By then there will be a whole different set of problems.

    • derpt34

IKR people need to stop fucking complaining

  • wth?

Good job screwing over the Redskins Donnie. I can tell your Dallas ass has been just waiting for us to lose and has been getting angry that we haven’t been. Really? We would have won that game if it weren’t for RG3 injury hands down and our defense played damn well especially since they were on the field the entirety or the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters probably playing dead tired. No D-Hall increase that was deserved still same overall as Wilson which is a joke. Drops to people who didn’t deserve one like Rob Jackson and Josh Morgan. Really your going to drop RG3 for playing with torn ligaments? He shredded them when he could drive his throws been when he got sacked late in the first he got re injured and his play severely suffered. This is a classic case of not watching the actual game and just going off of end game statistics. Our defense played great but was constantly on the field so Marshawn had a 100 yard performance and our linebackers drop. That’s BS. I hate how they will drop the overall of starters on a team and say they are balancing it by raising the useless third string 50 overall players to a whopping 52. They still aren’t useful and now the starters are worse. Donny try watching a game for once.

  • I_speak_real

How did joe webb get a decrease.. hes alredy a 67 ovetall..wat did u expect,,, a probowl caliber performance?.. im a raider fan and im bichin bout dat shitt

  • Bubby

Saints don’t even play this week and the same players that got decreased last week get decreased again, seems legit.

  • http://twitter.com/Tampa2Coach Mr. Lewis

Since my Bears probably won’t get anymore updates I wanna take this time to reflect on the good and bad of the all updates this season.

The Good: Tim Jennings! The guy is honestly the best ballhawking corner in the whole video game. his 91 man coverage, 89 zone coverage, 88 Awareness, 74 Catching, 87 Play recognition, umm.. 95 Acceleration, 93 Agility. I honestly just sit him in off coverage all game and he jumps every single route I love it.

The Bad: I mean.. I’m being picky cuz frankly my Bears are rated better in the game than they are in real life but… Major Wright should have 80+ Pursuit., uuugh,,,, Isreal Idonije was our second highest graded defender this year on Pro Football Focus and PFF is all Donny uses so 88 overall sounds good to me, umm… Maybe Corey Wooton being a bit better pass rusher, maybe give him 80+ pursuit. I’m really stretching here, there really is no glaring injustice. Maybe put up Peanut’s ability to strip the ball?? I know there’s no real rating that could do that soo….I’m asking for too much.

Overall: Again the Bears are pretty overrated in the game (I’m not complaining) so I usually play really good defense, and I have a pretty high octane Offense so…. I’m gonna enjoy winning a lot of football games from now till September.
