With fewer sports games than ever before there’s an opening for independent developers to have success with creative unlicensed takes on different sports. Dangerous Golf is the latest to enter that space and it comes from the creators of the Burnout series, and borrows the concept behind its popular Crash Mode.
Replacing cars with golf balls and hitting into destructive environments sounds like a recipe for success but unfortunately the fun wears off quickly. Whether it’s frustrating technical issues from a problematic camera to slow loading times between every restart, or just the tiresome repetitiveness which offers surprisingly little satisfaction, Dangerous Golf is a disappointment especially at a $20 price.
