Update on the Madden 08 PS3 patch

I continue to get emails regarding the second patch for Madden 08 and when it will make its way out for the PS3. I figured it would be helpful to post what is known at this point.

The patch was sent to Sony at the same time it was sent to Microsoft. Apparently Sony had a long line of patches to pass through certification so that is where the holdup is.

Sony’s offices are closed all next week which means that the patch won’t be cleared and sent out until the first week of January at the earliest. There is always the possibility that it shows up next week anyway but it seems unlikely due to the circumstances.

The sixth roster update is also set to be released for both the 360 and PS3. EA is waiting on the PS3 patch to come out first though so both sides will get it at the same time.

Ok this isn’t for padre he’s doing he’s simply delievering what he’s been told. The truth is that patches (for other games)have been sent to Sony and released. It doesn’t take this long. I’m telling you new games have been released since this “second patch” was announced and they already have patches for them. EA’s blowing smoke up everybody’s ass to buy more time. Regardless of what happens… take legal action against EA! One to get the refund that you deserve and two make sure this doesnt happen again.

This was on the EA Sports message boards, it was posted by someone that works with EA and has the changes up until this document was posted.

Thanks for the updates. I really can’t believe that it still hasn’t been released. I have bought every Madden since the first one on SNES. I might be done for a while. EA sucks.
