Madden 08 PS3 patch to be released Tuesday morning

Updating the previous posting regarding the release timing of the PS3 patch for Madden 08, I have received word that the patch has finally cleared certification by Sony and will be released in the morning (8th).
This is the same patch the 360 received late in November and addresses the following issues:
Fumble Fix - Reduced fumble chances in certain situations. This has been tested thoroughly and we feel that people will be happy with a more realistic (and more fun!) number of fumbles. This was priority number 1 for us.
DB Reactions- changes to the way that DBs play man coverage. Defenders in man coverage won’t be able to react to passes that they cannot see. This should make it easier to throw against man coverage.
Favre “Moonwalk”- I love the names that you guys come up with for issues such as this one. You can rest assured that you won’t see Farve (or any QB) dancing toward the sideline anymore.
Hook Zone Flip Bug- I saw a post on a community forum talking about this bug and it turns out the fix was very minimal risk. You can now flip plays with hook zones without the players leaving their zones.
Franchise - Fixed NCAA import issue where players would turn 26
Franchise - Fixed bug where HOF Unlocked players cannot be released in Franchise.
Franchise - Fixed bug where the FA pool would run out of certain positions
Online Game Reporting- fixed a number of issues where games weren’t being reported correctly or people weren’t getting the right number of ranking points for a win. This will also make stats more accurate.
EA SPORTS World- Accomplishment ‘20 consecutive completions’ not awarded when completions ends up under 100%
Does this include the roster update for the 360?
About damn time Sony and EA got their *stuff* in order. As a 360 owner, I would also like to know if we can now finally get the roster update that has been sitting around for weeks.
There won’t be another roster update till after the SB for all systems.

I play my friend alot online in madden. Now when we try to connect we can’t get it started. It showed that he is in but it won’t show the team. Did they fix that?
Ok, they released the patch, i downloaded it.. then i restarted my game, and it said that i needed to update my roster but these aren’t the new rosters, they are the same as before. Any idea on when the new new ones will be released? or why it asked me download again?

I heard the patch for PS3 came out today and I have a question about it. Do the updates in the franchise mode (such as the Free Agents not running out) apply to franchises that have already been started before the patch was downloaded? Please help.

first hand off of the game with the new patch FUMBLE HOW STUPID IS EA are they trying to make everyone pissed off.
Same here after I downloaded the patch, I fumble the kickoff, and then the computer fumbles on a run the very next play. At least throwing against man coverage seemed better

Hey Pasta, any news on the roster upgrade. I see they put the patch out. and gave us an old roster.
I am from Austria and bought the European Version of Madden 08 for PS3. Besides the other problems of the game the feature to import draft classes from NCAA is missing in the European Madden 08.
The import of “real” prospects is one of the main reasons to play the game for several seasons.
Does anybody (i.e. Pasta) know if this “bug” can/will be fixed?

hey pasta, i know youre probably busy with nfl tour. but thats fake football this is the real thing(according to video games) can you try and get us an update on when these rosters are coming and the changes that will be made. Thank again for your hard work.
Ok…its Jan. 9th and still no new roster update for 360 what the F*** is up with that???? anyone know when its comming out?!?!?! i cant stand Ryan Grant being rated a 76 and the bears being rated a 90…
im pretty sure we wont be getting the roster till next tuesday. that seems to be the general date i keep seeing on other forums. hopefully im wrong and they just pop up all of a sudden. pasta please update on this if you have the time or any new info. thanks
according to the ea forum they are saying the rosters are going to posted either tonight or tomorrow.. hopefully i cant wait to start a new franchise with them.

how hard do you think their job is? im pretty sure we all have no clue. granted working on video games seems like an enjoyable job, but no job is perfect. im sure they have their problems. it takes a while to redo rosters ive tried to do it on ncaa, and madden before and it takes awhile, and thats without creating all the players that werent on teams that are now there, setting all those ratings thats gotta take a while.
just relax whether the rosters are out today or tomorow or next tuesday you will get them.. dont worry
Patsmets you are truly stupid. They DOWNGRADED are rosters with the last update. They were releaseing roster updates every month which means they are capable of doing it faster. They creat a patch for a game they sold for 60 dollors broke. Year after year they have the same exact problems with cheaters and game bugs that they dont ever fix or even mention that they exsist. On the online news they dont ever try to communitcate with the users. EA is playing with fire they have thousands of loyal customers ready to call it quits. For every 1 person on hear complaing theres a 1,000 people thinking the same danm things. Madden is turning into a arcade cheesey un realistic POS thanks to the retards that control EA
oh yeah you got me, i lack intelligence because i said something that you cant determine to be wrong or right unless you work for the ea company. i said nothing about the deteriorating product, im just saying don’t say they should easily have it done because you don’t know if it is that easy or not, or exactly what happened to delay the process.
in my opinion this madden is the best next gen version yet and a step in the right direction. i really don’t see what the big fuss is all about. yeah it lacks alot of things but its alot better then it used to be.

I dont care about the rateings its the fact they dont tell anyone anything about when there gonna release or fix anything. They say its a privilge we get updates but thats BS because they are the ones who mess up the ratings. If they didnt do ratings by the media and acutally looked at stats. If they want to mess up the game to piss people off its just there loss like i said its had its time at the top and now its on a down hill slope. EA has more problems with there games then just madden.

If you dont have ps3 online how are you supposed to get the patch????. We play madden at my buddies house and he has no connection is there a place on the internet to get it on to a cd or anything. Feedback would be very appreciated!!!!!
I am experiencing the game freezing when they try to train my team during the week. I never had this issue until now and I am in my 4th season. This has happened since this update. Is anyone else having this issue?

Has anyone else found this problem, that after the update. If a new franchise season is started, some games won’t actually simulate. This has happened to me every time i try to make a new franchise. So basicaly i can’t play the franchise mode on my madden game. Anyone know how to sort this out. (it would really be appreciated since i hardly play madden now due to this fault)
The PS3 Patch is non-existent. Only a roster update is prompted with online play.
I don’t even know why I care, given that the aptly-termed Franchise “death-glitch” is somehow neglected in this hypothetical patch.
All I want is to play Franchise Mode past three years!
