EA=arcadish?? is this the new fad?
It's not a fad it's a fact. Now they're pulling out all the stops and showing their true colors, EA has always misrepresented the sports they are trying to portray, especially boxing.

I'm totally into sim boxing, but an arcade boxing game that doesn't pretend to be a sim (FNR3) and is totally over the top would be fun.

I am glad to hear that fight night is still in developement. And I think this game will sell because the general gaming audience is not the SIM-style like most of us are.

Plus I think just the photo-face ability will have alot of people debating on picking it up. I think its a feature that shouild be on every game if possible.

I'm glad to hear that FNR4 is still being made after all. When there's competition, the gamers win. Also, it would be more fun with FNR4 around, Prizefighter would have a whipping boy.
Anyone remember Ready 2 Rumble games for the Dreamcast? They didnt do very well and I dont think this will either. They were fun games for about an hour then not so much. Playing with friends yes but, hardcore gamers will laugh at it. I wish EA luck with this one. I love EA but, sometimes I dont understand them.

What do you think pasta? Do you remember the R2R games for the DC?
I remember them and having played them but not really anything specific about them. I can say though that Facebreaker is intriguing to me. Potentially it would be a game I'd enjoy more than the next Fight Night.

So they dump Fight Night for this?
No they didn't dump Fight Night. Round 4 is in development at EA Canada. It moved there before the EA Chicago closing as they worked on the PS3 version of Round 3. I added a line in the article now because of the confusion around that.
Thanks for the info I feel better now.
