Pastapadre NBA Live 08 OTP Night

This week the NBA Live OTP will take place on Saturday (2/2) beginning at 5PT/8ET. Two more games will be played and likely recorded with recaps and videos going up by Monday. Same procedures to be followed as the first two nights (meet in the pastapadre created lobby room with password otp).

Vote in the poll for the two matchups to be played. I’ve tried again to put together teams that are relatively even and aren’t dominated by a single superstar.

Update: Based on the voting it’ll be Golden State @ Detroit followed by New Jersey @ Toronto.

Poll results and recap of the night follow.

*Any mistakes on who controlled who let me know and I’ll correct. It gets confusing once substitutions are made.

Golden State 93 @ Detroit 110

The game was more contested than the final score makes it appear however the Pistons felt in control the entire time and pulled away late as the Warriors were forced into desperation mode.

Warriors
Al Harrington (tcbigman) 17 pts, 7 rbs, 5 ast, 2 blks, 6-16 fg, 3-7 3pt
Monte Ellis (Im P Dub) 15 pts, 2 ast, 1 stl, 6-10 fg
Baron Davis (Njnetsfanforlif) 13 pts, 2 rbs, 4 ast, 1 blk, 5-17 fg, 1-5 3pt

Rasheed Wallace (tdoggy15) 25 pts, 9 rbs, 3 ast, 1 stl, 12-16 fg

Chauncey Billups (ElmiraExpress) 16 pts, 1 rb, 18 ast, 5-10 fg, 2-3 3pt

New Jersey 80 @ Toronto 122

This is the first game I’ve been a part of that was a blowout from start to finish. The Raptors just played better as a team, executed better on offense, and played solid defense throughout. Toronto nearly tripled the amount of assists that the Nets had. That could’ve been overcome by good individual performances but the Nets went 0-11 from 3 point range and shot only 41% from the field (with Vince Carter going 14-36).

Nets
Sean Williams (Da Birthday Boy) 4 pts, 2-3 fg
Richard Jefferson (tcbigman) 16 pts, 5 rbs, 1 ast, 1 stl, 3 blks, 8-13 fgs
Vince Carter (NJNetsfanforlif) 30 pts, 4 rbs, 2 ast, 2 stl, 2 blks, 14-36 fgs, 0-6 3pt
Jason Kidd (Im P Dub) 11 pts, 1 rb, 7 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 2-6 fg, 0-2 3pt
Malik Allen (Da Birthday Boy) 11 pts, 3 rbs, 1 stl, 3 blks, 4-12 fg
Jamaal Magloire (holdinmysac) 4 pts, 2 rbs, 1 ast, 2 blks, 2-6 fg

Raptors
Andrea Bargnani (Hawkfan23114) 28 pts, 23 rbs, 3 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 12-16 fg
Chris Bosh (tdoggy15) 31 pts, 13 rbs, 5 ast, 15-20 fg
Jason Kapono (HellsHurrican3) 30 pts, 6 rbs, 3 ast, 13-30 fg, 6-9 3pt
Anthony Parker (pastapadre) 14 pts, 6 rbs, 1 ast, 6-9 fg
TJ Ford (ElmiraExpress) 19 pts, 16 ast, 8-15 fg

That is just a quick update to fix the bug that was created in the last patch where you sometimes can’t pick plays.

Good to have a fellow Seahawks fan around.

Yeah good games guys had fun again. The first game was pretty well contested but the second one was the first time I’ve been in a game that was basically a blowout from start to finish. I’ve got stats and everything for the recap to come by Monday.

I was butt today. Everything about my game was horrible. I hadn’t played for like a week, but that’s no excuse for how bad my rebounding and free throws were. I did much better with LaMarcus Aldridge last week. The game with Bosh wasn’t that bad, but my rebounding was still bad.

Sorry to whoever’s team I was on lol

that first game i was on the Warriors…….we just couldnt get back on D quick enough. That was killing us!! LOL…still cool to play with good teammates….

First game was pretty fun despite us (Warriors) not being able to get back to stop the easy scores by Prince. Stephen Jackson glitched early in the first. He was stuck in a shooting animation so we had to take him out. This really hurt GS since we were without his shooting ability. The funny thing is, you could look at the bench and see that he was still stuck in that animation throughout the entire game. The last lead for GS was at 20-19. From then on, Detroit slowly pushed the rest of the game towards a 17 point victory.

Second game was an absolute mess. The Raps jumped out to 5-0 start and the closest the Nets got was 4-5. We (Nets) took many bad shots and nothing would drop. Toronto got to the freethrow line alot and we looked to VC to bring us back but his shots wouldn’t drop, either. My recording of the second game stopped. I tried to resume it on another hard drive, but I got the same “out of HD space”, even though I had plenty.

Our teams just didn’t play with much chemistry. I think a few guys didn’t get many touches, so when they did, they put up a shot which further hurt the chemistry, not to mention the deficit.

I think its better if we had 3on3 …. cuz those games were horrible….hey pasta are u gonna have the competition soon with the team play?

wow, didnt realize how many rebounds i got!! Fun games….both of them. Look forward to the next time. I usually like to play as the C or PF. I dont need to shoot a lot to have a good time.
