Vote for MM08 downloadable arena
February 11, 2008 by pastapadre

Votes are now being accepted for the arena that will be offered as free downloadable content for March Madness 08. Email in your choice of the six options to mstephenson@ea.com
The options are USC’s Galen Center, Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena, Oregon’s McArthur Court, Arkansas’ Bud Walton Arena, Purdue’s Mackey Arena, and Georgia Tech’s Alexander Memorial Coliseum. The winner will have their authentic arena made available for free as downloadable content prior to the start of the March Madness tournament in March.
Profiles are currently available for Oregon and Arkansas with the other schools coming in the near future. Which arena are you hoping wins?

Virginia- nice stadium , bad fans.
When I say bad fans I mean disrespectful and classless .
Its all good though cause we went down their and stomp them out.
Elmira, we’re even more disrespectful and classless in College Park. We make opposing players’ families cry with our expletive-laced tirades, and then we set couches on fire out on Route 1 for no real reason. Our “F*** Duke” chant and shirts are famous (because they’re obviously so clever ;)). Granted, I’m a New Yorker living in DC, but I always loved those crazy Terp fans.
Memo to EA: Gameplay is more important than a pretty court.
I think this is a good idea but, we all know some people wil complain that there school isnt part of this and start bashing EA. With 2K putting College Hoops 2k9 on the shelf one would think EA would try to do more. But as we ALL know people will say that they dont have to do anything anymore. They have the only college bball game on the market just like NFL. I hope it all works for the best for us as gamers.
haha when i read that someone said virginia fans are bad i was going to immediately mention how bad maryland fans are, and the very next post already said it… but yeah MD fans are the worst i have witnessed… not even cool most of the times, just drunk classless A-holes, and i went to college park, felt bad for visiting teams sometimes lol…
Shouldn’t courts have been included in the actual game and not DLC?

Most of my buddies went to CP. I went to a small, private, GOOD school however =). College Park can be a great place to party, but yeah, most of the students come from affluent and predominantly white Montgomery County, MD. People from there (including myself, as I’ve been here 15 years now) have a bit of a skewed perception of what is right and wrong, acceptable and unacceptable. It shows with Terps fans… It starts all in good fun, but quickly gets way out of hand.
I know it’s bad when I got back home to NY and I’m over the top! We have fun around CP though =).
oh it was fun dont get me wrong… WHO’S GOIN TO BENTLEY’S!?
shouldn’t the arenas already be on the game?

It’d be nice, but considering there are what 327 Div I teams thats just not realistic to expect authentic arenas for every one. Both college games only have have a limited amount of the real arenas.
