NBA Live 08 roster update #2 details

Here are the changes made in the second roster update for NBA Live 08 that was released earlier today. Like the previous roster update there has only been player movement. The two major recent trades (Lakers-Grizzlies, Suns-Heat) are included. Unfortunately no ratings changes, players added to the game, or FIBA update. Hopefully another update will be done soon after the trade deadline.

- New Rookie Team rosters (minus Jamario Moon)
- Shaquille O’Neal (#32) traded to Phoenix Suns
- Shawn Marion (#7) traded to Miami Heat
- Marcus Banks (#2) traded to Miami Heat
- Pau Gasol (#16) traded to Los Angeles Lakers
- Kwame Brown (#54) traded to Memphis Grizzlies
- Chris Webber (#4) signs with Golden State Warriors
- Earl Boykins (#11) signs with Charlotte Bobcats
- Kyle Korver (#26) traded to Utah Jazz
- Gordan Giricek (#11) traded to Philadelphia 76ers
- Stromile Swift (#6) traded to New Jersey Nets
- Jason Collins (#34) traded to Memphis Grizzlies
- Luis Scola (#4) traded to Houston Rockets
- Juan Carlos Navarro (#2) added to Memphis Grizzlies
- Darrell Armstrong added to New Jersey Nets
I love NBA 2K8 but I just wish they would update rosters a little more. I can’t stand playing Live but EA does a much better job updating rosters then 2K.
Thats it wow man I thought they would do more.
That’s because 2k8 actually changes player ratings from update to update, EA moves players around and calls it an update….
don flaminco is right guys nba 2k8 actually changes player ratings. i heard the next update for 2k8 is around the trade deadline, which is in exactly one week.

Why is it that Madden gets updates so frequently and actually gets good updates with new player ratings yet Live has such terrible updates?I mean can we get some new player ratings anybody can do the trades themselves.
Hopefully one is up after the trade deadline like they should have done. Update is terrible. Scola and Navorro traded to their respected teams, yet when I go to edit them, there is nothing there. Looks like a cloaking device; predator suit if you will. I wanna see the missing rookies created such as Mario West, Jamario Moon, and fix the Jamareo Davidson player because he has Shaqs head on a white body and supposed to be on the Bobcats.

could someone tell me how you get all of the new jerseys for nba live08 on ps3 and oh yea 2k8 is a copy cat as i remember live was the first ones to have the weapons like the dunk,three,hammer come on guys! And this year live is alot better on ps3!

So let me get this str8, Jamrio Moon isn’t added on to the game but the “All star” rosters are? Doesn’t make much sense cuz Moon was a paricipant in the Slam Dunk Contest…
i’m very happy if there are all star and rookie rosters. It’s a good thing, and Moon is not a problem for this year. The most important is to play a good team like Sophomore with Roy, because i like this player, he remembers me Jordan.
I could not loading the rosters update this week end because EA had a problem, but i understood O’neal wasn’t in the new roster, so i’m happy to see this page!!

I agree, that the rosters for NBA Live are not updated as quickly as they need to be, you would have thought they would be ready to update the rosters right after the trade deadline, but I guess they get a delight in makng us sufffer, and wait. I am a big Cleveland Sports Fan, and I cant wait to use the Cavs, with their new rosters.

What does it mean when it says this player does not have an ea locker on the update page? Is this because of ea or is there going to be a new way to download.
