EA Sports has released 22 more screens from the upcoming NFL Head Coach 09. The majority of them focus on the Colts sideline, with a few negotiation and shots of team headquarters mixed in. I’ve added a couple below and the rest can be found in the screenshot gallery or by checking out the official Head Coach website.

For a game not slated to release until fall (possibly coinciding with the opening week of the NFL) there has been an awful lot of info and screenshots released. From what they’ve said though there is still a lot more to come. It’s pretty exciting to imagine the possibility of a new football title being released each month with NCAA (July), Madden (August), and Head Coach (September).

i think we’re finally starting to see what the next gen consoles are capable of producing (from a graphics standpoint) in the world of sports gaming..

those newest Colts screens are beautiful.. room for improvement? sure, there’s always room for improvement but they at least look nice (in stills)

now the trick is.. can they get them to look beautiful in movement? in my personal opinion I think that was one area where APF shined over Madden was that most of the time in APF the players moved flawlessly and their animations looked fantastic

*curse the ugly QB throwing animation in madden and ncaa*

    Very encouraging screenshots.

Too bad this game won’t be out for another 6 months; I really wish they would rethink that release date, but at the same time I’m willing to wait as long as it takes if it gives EA more time to iron out the bugs/glitches.

Is EA allowed to use the likeness of every coach?

There always seems to be a few coaches in the game who look nothing like their real world counterpart.

I think everyone would like to see Belichick in his traditional grey hoodie, and if you’re really obsessed, you should be given the option of wearing the controversial red hoodie, which some people believed jinxed the team in Super Bowl XLII.

Belichick is not part of the coaches association, so they are not allowed to use his likeness in the game. There will be a generic coach in his place. Bill Parcells was the other one in the past who they couldn’t use.

Actually.. this game already kinda followed in the footsteps of a “Madden Curse”. Didn’t Bill Cowher have a bad season and get “dismissed” a year after the last game came out?

Thanks for the info, Pasta. I’m sure Patriots fans will be thrilled.

Am really looking forward to this game, it sounds like it has the potential to be what the original game promised to be.
