This week’s (4/21) roster update for MLB 08: The Show is out and contains 114 player movements. There was also a patch released at the end of last week. Any mention of Longoria for the Rays yet? Thanks for posting this. Would also be nice to know what the patch fixed so we can stop speculating

I want to know if Longoria and Bowker for the Giants have been added. I wish Sony would give a full list of all roster changes they have made… and not just the highlights.

    Pasta,

What did the most recent download for The Show contain? I heard there was a fix for the walk-off HR glitch. Can you confirm?

Also, is there any news on whether Sony will release add-ons for The Show, such as classic teams, stadiums, etc.?

Still would like some sort of comment from SCEA as to what the patch has addressed. We all know the walk-off HR glitch has been fixed meaning it would not count the batter in the statistics as if he stopped at first base and never crossed home plate. The fatigue issue for relievers has been addressed meaning while during seasons or franchises it would show the bullpen as having full stamina, yet once entered in the game those pitchers would be fatigued.

Holy crap! Another update for the show. 2K hasn’t even come out with a roster for opening day. I am jealous.

The walkoff HR glitch is if you have men on base and you hit a home run to win the game, the stats will give the hitter an RBI single instead of a multi-RBI home run.

I am using the Tigers. I had two men on base. Ordonez hit a home run to win the game. Instead of being credited with a three-run HR, he was credited with an RBI single.

Certain players receive attribute updates, other receive team/league updates. If you’re asking if every player in the game receives an attribute update, then no.

I noticed that after I downloaded the 4/14/08 update that it must of had a patch that changed Ryan Howard’s batting stance to a more realistic version. Although still not exactly identical to his real stance. I was surprised when I loaded my Phillies franchise (I’m in Mid May so far), and all of a sudden his stance was newly updated when he came to the plate for the first time!

Anyone else notice any other batting stance or pitching delivery changes?

I heard that some people were having trouble with the accesories messing up and the game just be playing unplayable after the last update. I’m guessing that’s what the patch is adressing.
