EA Fantasy Football Update
May 8, 2008 by pastapadre

Earlier this morning I reacted to the info provided by IGN regarding EA’s Fantasy Football leagues. It turns out the details they provided weren’t accurate (or at the very least weren’t explained properly).
It turns out that not only has the pricing not been finalized, but the $15 that was cited by IGN for the 360/PS3 draft application would be per league and not per owner. The optional live stats would be on an individual basis which is the norm with most league offerings.
I have an interview later today with the lead producer for EA Fantasy Football. Any questions that you feel would be worth asking drop in the comments.
Update: Full details on EA Fantasy Football from the interview can be read here.

I have to questions:
Do they have a draft board like tool, so you can rank the positions predraft.
Also, If you don’t have 360/PS3, can people participate using a website? I think this thing sounds awesome but I have like maybe a handful of friends who would be able to do it using one of the consoles. It would be more realistic for me if I could get people to participate just using a web browser.
is it free like last year if just using the website?
Can you ask them to stop concentrating on crap like this that is stupid and just a way for them to get some excess revenue and ask them to focus on making their sports games better overall?
can you ask them why they think someone would watch live stats on their tv when the games are going on?
Pasta can you ask how the payments would work? Would just one member have to pay? Also do u need to know the people in the league or can it assign you leagues?
IGN got something wrong? I’m shocked. SHOCKED!
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve noted them all so far. The interview is taking place at noon pacific so make sure to get anymore ideas down by then so I can add them in. I’ve got a pretty good list so far that should really lead to a full understanding of how things will work.
