NCAA Football 09 Patch News

A patch for NCAA Football 09 to fix editing issues is on the way. The expected time for the patch to go live is 5-10 days from now according to a producer post on Operation Sports. To make this time frame it would appear that Microsoft and Sony would be giving the certification of this patch priority. I wouldn’t count on it being pushed out that quickly (seems awful optimistic) but it is good news to know that they are actively attempting to get it out as soon as possible.
Only two things will be fixed with this patch. The bug that causes the game to freeze when editing players as well as how depth charts reorder after editing a player.
Apparently this will not adversely affect any ongoing dynasties that have used named rosters. A patch to improve various gameplay elements and address other issues is planned for the future.

This game is an imcomplete piece of trash; honestly EA is a horrible company. You strike me as a morally upstanding person pasta, you need to start holding this awful company responsible for horrible business practices rather than ignoring their complete lack of tesing their products for quality.

Although I’m thankful for patches, it makes you wonder how such issues seem to make it past developers every year? I mean EA has a team of guys who only work on bugs & glitches so it makes you wonder how much they test the game before release. The game is great other than no refs, chaingangs, or coaches.
wow way faster then I expected, now I just have to hope my girlfriend gets it for my birthday.

when u talk to a recruit, what determines how long it take to hard sell a pitch to them, cuz sometimes it is 3 minutes, and others much longer

Pasta do you know anything about the Dynasty In Game Glitch??????? Why are their no attribute adjustments?
How come when Im playing my player attributes don’t go up and down depending on how they are playing? I threw 2 INTs in the first quarter and looked on my depth chart to see if his attributes were lowered and he was the same. The computer seems to be effected just not USER controlled team. Anyone else having this problem?
I’m about 1/16 thru the rosters.
Got Notre Dame done and am using sports gamer’s top 50. Finished QBs and RBs(top 50)

Really? We are actually praising EA for this? They release a broken game and are fixing it! Yay.
This is off subject a little, but does anyone know why or have an explanation for why ratings are so drastically changed when you change a players position in dynasty mode. I have been looking for one, with no luck. Its absolutely ridiculous and stupid that a player who has 86 speed (for example) all of a sudden goes down to 65 or 70 just because you change to a different position. Does a LB get that much slower when they get moved to DE…………………………………………….NO!!!!!!
Can I get a producer blog or something? Please someone just explain the logic behind this. Pasta, work your magic and get us an answer….PLEASE!
i have played two games so far…and have returned five INTs for touchdowns…i hope this is not the norm…that being said…i was trailing the Illini with my Missouri Tigers 10-0 in the first 3 minutes…and in the 4th quarter with 1:20 remaining in the game i was ahead 16-10 with the Illini moving into the redzone…i was actually hoping they would score a touchdown so that i could get the achievement for drilling a field goal and winning the game as time expired…but instead i returned two INTs for touchdowns in the next 30 seconds to ice the game…
ea did a bad job this year. the graphics are no better(maybe worse) than last year. when a qb throws the ball its not even in his hand. the player movements are barely improved. i was jus un satisfied with the game. the only better thing is online play is better. players are always going through each other, and there are really not many improvements to the game. it fells rushed and like the producers dont even care about the game. not very impressed at all.
off topic. I got the game on release and have played about 10 games now online and here is my opinion of the game so far
Pros:
graphics
Cons:
A.I. on kick returns(defense runs in unison with the returner as he runs left or right)
EA server sucks.
No DL pressure.
there are problems with editing players at the moment, but what about creating new players?
is it a problem? i want to create about 4 players at the beginning of my dynasty..

Issues Ive encountered are the kickers whether good or bad can blast 60 yard field goals; example penn states kicker has kick power of 85 yet I booted a 60 yarder with room to spare; They have to tone down the kick power and the defensive secondary if not the whole defense picks the ball off way to often. Its like the defense has better hands and catching ability then my offensive players; Example penn state defensive end is in man coverage against the tight end and the DE picks it off like hes Champ Bailey
It’s truley mind boggling how EA can mess so many things up in one game.
1. No create a school
2. No refs, coaches, etc.
3. Players still move very robotic - everyone moves the same (and all in unison as noted by a previous poster)
4. Gameplay still very questionable (no DL pressure, passes over the middle are WAY too easy - those are the hardest passes to throw in football)
5. They just realized the Depth chart glitch?! It was in the game last year. Should have been fixed a while ago.
6. The Rosters fiasco is just a joke.
7. Players still look like they ice skate on the field
8. How do you fuck up the sliders EA? Seriously?! No excuses.
9. Running style is not proportional. The players feet are moving fast, but their upper body is moving slowly.
10. Facemasks…HA
11. Why does every DL look like they are out of shape?!
12. If you watch a replay of a pass play… the Ball doesnt even spiral! It looks like a knuckle ball floating in the air. lol. Also the ball spins the wrong way when it comes out of the hand of the QB. It was a problem in ‘08 as well.
13. Anyone else think the ball is too big? Bigger than the player’s helmets.
14. EA servers do suck. Or at least the PS3 ones do…
15. No create a playbook
16. Ball carriers still make very “jerky” movements when trying to run from right to left, for instance. This is especially apparent along the sidelines.
Alright, enough of my rant.
when we try to do an online dynasty it freezes up everytime we try to advance to the regular season..it freezes on step 2 of 6 every f**king time..pisses me off man

On point like a fax machine……Everyone keeps wanting to give EA props for things that they are supposed to do. I have made of some of these same issues, and the fact of the matter is you can still go on with this list. EA thrives in the fact that a majority of gamers are easily impressed with this inferior work. When gamers start demanding quality and stop paying for inferior games that is when we will start to see real change. At the end it comes down to money, EA still make a ton of money from what they know is an inferior product. So why do they need to really fix it.

I was playing campus legend in the Texas High School Playoffs and I was happy to see that the state championship was at the Alamodome…but I was mislead.
The pregame graphics and the field says the Alamodome but the stadium is UT’s Darrell K. Royal stadium. Ea did a poor job at focusing on little details

why cant you return kickoffs and punts in campus legend mode even if youre #1 on the depth chart?
What about the game play issues:
- Way too many missed tackles
- Kickoff returns for TDs - In Madden over 150+ games we have a small handful. We’ve had 3 in one game, 2 in another game, etc. - no realistic and it ruins the game play
- online CPU QBs have been 20-21, and 19-20 against dime and nickel defenses. Again, nothing like anything I’ve played in the entire NCAA and Madden histories.
The game has huge potential, but some of these flaws are inexcusable (ever hear of testing?) PLEASE< PLEASE fix these and make the game worthwhile…otherwise it is shelfware.

Well it is officially five days after the post and I haven’t heard anything about it releasing today. I will keep my fingers crossed.
When will EA listen to the REAL sports fan and make the obvious necessary changes we have all been bitchin about for years. How about assigning 1 fan per school to report to EA about their perspective teams about the rosters and then letting the obvious “drop the ball” idiot programmers know what issues all of us fans have about this game that we TRULY LOVE, NCAA Football. They may know technology, but when it comes to these glitches and FREEZEs, what are they really doing to earn a paycheck let alone OUR hard earned 60 f’n bonez.

I agree this keeps happening to me all the time the only way to play online dynasty is to create one yourself my game freezes around 60% most of the time and i dont know how to fix it. does anyone else know? anything would be helpfull.

I agree this keeps happening to me all the time the only way to play online dynasty is to create one yourself my game freezes around 60% most of the time and i dont know how to fix it. does anyone else know? anything would be helpfull.
And how do you do the special college plays?
Um This Game Is Fun But Glitchy All The Same Has Anyone In Here Had A Completly Open Player 99 Overall Stats Had A Ball Fly Thru His Body And Then It Be Intercepted.
