Padre vs Fred Challenge Game Two

The challenge continues against Fred from Sportsgamer with game two of our NCAA Football 09 series. Heading into this game Fred held a 1-0 lead after surviving a dramatic ending in the Navy vs Air Force game.
The voting from the last poll dictated that Illinois vs Michigan would be played, which meant I would be taking Michigan at home. This was another game filled with anxious moments. Continue on for a recap and highlights as well as a new poll to vote on what teams will be used in game three.
Illinois @ Michigan ended up featuring offenses that the other couldn’t seem to stop, at least until later in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Once again Fred held a lead that looked to be in danger late. Up 38-24 in the 4th I was able to drive down the field and draw the game to within a TD. After a failed onside kick attempt, the defense held strong coming up with two sacks that forced another punt. With under a minute remaining and no timeouts I was able to get to the Illinois 40 and took a few shots at the end zone but couldn’t come away with the clutch TD. Fred wins 38-31 and I now head into a game three that is a must win.
The next game will feature a big rivalry, of which six different choices are available to vote on in the poll (which is under the highlight clips). The game is expected to be played on Sunday.

pasta I don’t know ur style of play but I think YOu using WV is ur best chance at winning game 3 with their fast Quarter Back & that pump fakes using the analog I think he’d be HARD pressed 2 pull out a W

pasta u should have put justin feagin in at qb (qb #2) instead of threet. and put carlos brown at runningback hb#23 instead of brandon minor (#4) you would have had a better and easier time on offense because those players are much faster than who u had in the game

Aww, no love for the Virginia- North Carolina game? Cmon, its gonna be a thriller, a heated battle between two college football powers.
But seriously, I’m a UNC fan, and I think it’s a stretch to call this a rivalry. The only reason it’s considered a rivalry game is because they played each other about 100 times.
I know this is off topic but the Madden 09 Demo will be available as a bonus on a NFL DVD on July 22

i would say missouri…but people have been lighting up my corners with them online with big receivers and streak routes…and don’t forget…impossible to get pressure on QBs…

I’m half tempted to try the App St-Michigan matchup on the PS2 version and youtube it but it’s pretty darn hard with Mountaineers rated so low.
I voted GA-FLA as well though Missouri-Kansas is a sweet matchup as well.

NCAA is awesome. However, I found some issues which I am sure have been discovered by others:
1) Drive summary yardage is way off..Following a made FG it shows the total yardage as if you scored a TD
2) Unable to select computer opponent’s uniform…What!!!
3) Running is a bitch
4) Pass defense is a bitch
5) Kick coverage is a bitch
What, no ND - USC option? Although I am a huge ND fan that would not be a contest….
