Another NFL Head Coach 09 Full Game Video

July 19, 2008 by pastapadre

With everything around the release of NCAA Football 09 and the anticipation towards Madden, it seems as though NFL Head Coach 09 has taken a back seat. But the release of Head Coach along with Madden in the 20th Anniversary Edition is barely three weeks away. At the community event it was a difficult environment to really take in this game, which has far more to it than can be experienced in a single day. I found myself to be more interested in the off-the-field activities such as the draft, but much of that was probably due to not yet being comfortable with all the options during a game to take advantage of them.

The first video showing a full game of Head Coach featured the Dolphins and Patriots which didn’t make for much of a contest. This time around it is the Cowboys-Giants rivalry that is on display. Continue on to view the full game as broken down by quarter.

I think you’re gonna love this game, it’s really enjoyable, and you don’t have to do all the work of controlling the players.

The Giants red uniforms have the stripes on the pants…unlike in Madden09 which are missing them. Crazy, these guys must not talk to each other at tiburben or EASPORTS.

I don’t like coaching. I’d rather sim the games.

But I love being able to build my own team how I want!!

y dont u just buy madden. this game looks awesome and i have already pre-ordered it but wat is the point of buying it if ur not even ganna coach the games. u should just call it NFL GM 09 if ur not ganna coach.

Because NFL Head Coach 09 is much more indepth. Madden didn’t even work on their franchise mode. NFL Head Coach has all of the features that Madden SHOULD have in their franchise mode but don’t.

  11. Eric7064 on July 20th, 2008 10:35 am Quote

If NFL Head coach has everything Madden Franchise should have, but doesn’t…and you aren’t particularly interested in playing the games, why the hell are you buying it? I share the same feelings as you, but I figure if nobody buys this game, they’ll be forced to drop the series and incorporate everything into Madden.

this game looks great but in both of the videos that have been released when it comes time to call a play it just goes right to the play being run, do you as the coach not get to choose the plays, do your coordinators choose them for you, or how does that work because i would want to call my own plays

There are two options for play-calling; you can call all of your own plays or you can just setup the gameplan and let your coordinators call of the plays.

On-topic, this is my most anticipated game of the year.

This looks ok, it may be better than Madden, lol! Not to get off topic but Pasta what did you think of Don King Prizefighter? Wasn’t that the worst hunk of shit you’ve ever seen? 2K shoulda been embarrassed!

I wish madden had all the features of this game incorporated into franchise but you still play the games with maddens gameplay. That would be the coolest franchise mode ever. This game alone looks really boring imo but i love all the stuff you can control.

Those end-of-game stats look a bit inflated: Eli Manning throws for 428 yards, 216 of which went to Jeremy Shockey? Either the Giants players are extremely overrated or the defensive AI needs improvement. Judging from the game’s result–a Giants loss–I’m going to go with the latter. If the entire focus of the game is simulation, the stats should be much more realistic.

Man it just looks like crap, May as well be Wii with those graphics. I’ll glady save my money, this game looks like no fun at all.
