EA Gameshow Shutting Down
July 21, 2008 by pastapadre

After hanging around for nine months EA Gameshow is coming to an end as of July 25th. The live interactive sports trivia game never received much of a push from EA and subsequently never gained any traction with the masses. A small but dedicated group of players remained throughout.
When Gameshow first started up I was hooked. It offered a unique experience with live hosts and their interation with the players added a lot. Once I stopped playing though I just couldn’t find the motivation to start back up again. In a way that addictive nature may have done it in for me as it almost seemed like a time committment would have to be made to play it.

I used to play it almost every night but when I stopped I never could get back into it. But I am sorry to hear that the are closing it down.
What? What the hell is EA Gameshow? hahaha
yeah that sucks, i thought it was a cool idea too but i lost interest in it quickly
I played for about two months but haven’t played recently. It’s a shame because the community there is so great.
I’m sure it will come back eventually in some form. I too loved it and then lost interest, but it was a good idea, and showed a lot of innovative thinking on EA’s part. I was not a fan of EA doing sports trivia during the day and turning it into a pop culture trivia game at night. That, more than anything turned me off.
I used to play all the time like you did, pastapadre. I remember the pastapadre night. Then they stopped improving it so I stopped playing.
