‘Saw 3D’ Trailer
Yahoo! has posted the theatrical trailer for Saw 3D. This will be the seventh and final installment of the 'Saw' series. These films always seem to do well when you consider how much it actually costs to make them. I grew tired of them after the third film, but this looks interesting. Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari Star In ‘Olympic-Size Ass-Hole’
MTV recently spoke with Danny McBride on the set of 30 Minutes or Less and learned that the upcoming project is called Olympic-Size Ass-Hole. The title alone makes me laugh, although it's not certain whether the title will remain or not. New ‘Let Me In’ Clip
A new clip from the upcoming 'Let Me In' has been posted on the movie's official site. The film seems to be getting quite a bit of positive buzz lately after some initial skepticism. ‘Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall’ Officially Greenlit
Mark Millar has revealed on BBC radio that the sequel Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall has been officially greenlit. Bleedingcool.com has the report. The estimate is Kick-Ass will do 100 to 150 million on DVD based on the American sales, you know, so it'll end up making a quarter of a billion on a 28 million investment. So It should be okay. New on DVD: Week of August 31
After two dreadful weeks of releases, things pick up a little this week. While the week may not be spectacular, one movie stands out as one you should surely see. Harry Brown stars Michael Caine as a fed up citizen who becomes a vigilante. Think a British Gran Torino sans the blatant racism. It did pretty well in reviews and scored a 67% 'Fresh Rating' on Rottentomatoes.com. At the very least give it a rent. ‘Kung Fu Panda’ Duo To Write ‘Karate Kid’ Sequel
For those who enjoyed the remake of the Karate Kid, the news of a sequel should excite you. The Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff will pen the sequel to surprise 2010 hit. The duo's most famous work is the animated film Kung Fu Panda. New on DVD: Week of August 24
Once again it's another slow week for releases. Lost fans can look forward to the series coming out on Blu-ray. On the movie side the only movie that I saw on the list was The Back-up Plan. I'd pass on this romantic comedy since it's just like every other one that is out there. Not to mention it only received a 20% on Rottentomatoes.com.
