FIFA License With EA Sports Extended Through 2022
One day after discussing the huge success that has been the FIFA franchise EA Sports has announced an extension to the current licensing agreement with FIFA that will stretch all the way though 2022. EA retains exclusive rights to FIFA branded games and that also includes the World Cup - the next entry of which should release late April or May 2014. EA Sports UFC Won’t Release This Fiscal Year
When EA Sports announced their current lineup for fiscal year 2014 - which runs from April 2013 through March 2014 - they omitted two games that only weeks ago would have been expected present. Tiger Woods is going on hiatus for a year but speculation had UFC coming late 2013 or early 2014. NHL 14 Cover Vote Begins
Because it wouldn't be an EA Sports game without a prolonged vote for the cover athlete the process begins today for NHL 14. The first round features two players from each team head-to-head with the winner advancing to a bracket of 30 representatives. Arnold Palmer Shares Cover of Tiger Woods 14; New Additions to Roster Announced
EA Sports today revealed the cover of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 which features a young Arnold Palmer who will be playable in the game. No further details were made available but it's probably safe to assume that there will be some sort of historical mode tied into Palmer's inclusion with potentially other legendary golfers to be announced at a later date. Xbox SmartGlass Now Available on iOS
After a delay Xbox SmartGlass has finally released for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The app can be downloaded through iTunes here. SmartGlass initially rolled out nearly two weeks ago for Windows 8 and Android devices and provides a second-screen to use in communicating with the Xbox 360. Today marked a huge day for Microsoft with the release of Windows 8 and, along with it, Xbox SmartGlass. Currently the SmartGlass app is only available for W8 computers, tablets, and phones and select Android devices through Google Play.
