    The debut trailer for MLB The Show 17 revealed the introduction of 'Retro Mode' which will act as a standalone way to play inspired by baseball games of the '90s including those fronted by Ken Griffey Jr. this year's cover star.     The season may be over but support for Diamond Dynasty mode in MLB The Show 16 continues. Today a new Chicago Cubs Champions Pack and missions tied to a trio of new flashback cards were added. Obtaining the three new flashbacks and completing statistical tasks will unlock Prime Matt Garza. Andrew Cashner (Rookie Flashback) needs to accrue 10 strikeouts, Marlon Byrd (Prime Flashback) must get 5 hits, and Darwin Barney (Prime Flashback) requires 10 fielding assists.     With the ALCS and NLCS underway SCEA has rolled out two new Missions in MLB The Show 16's Diamond Dynasty mode. Owners of the Josh Donaldson and Andrew Miller Rookie Cards will have the new challenges unlocked in order to obtain their current Live Series Cards.     The long-awaited debut of Edwin Diaz in MLB The Show 16 is finally here. The rookie phenom of the Mariners who has set records in strikeouts to begin a career and is now 10-for-10 in saves with a strikeout rate over 16 per 9 has been added to the game in today's roster update.
