There has been both a great deal of turnover and an expansion of the dev team for the Madden NFL franchise at Tiburon this year. SCEA has selected Boston Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez to appear on the cover of MLB 12: The Show. Gonzalez comes off his first year with Boston having batted .338 with 27 home runs and 117 RBIs along with receiving the Gold Glove at 1B in the American League.

Sony Introducing Online Pass
Sony today confirmed the introduction of their own 'Online Pass' program which appears to be dubbed the 'PSN Pass'. Starting with Resistance 3 in September SCEA's titles will restrict access to online functionality by inserting a one-time use code in copies of their games. MLB 11: The Show Patch #2 Details
Despite PSN being completely out of commission the patch delivery system on the PS3 remains functional and MLB 11: The Show received its latest on Friday evening. Changes include making the analog hitting easier, pitching more difficult to pinpoint, adding movement to the knuckleball, and attempts to fix many of the issues with Franchise mode.
