    In a recent Press Row Podcast episode I proposed the idea again that MLB: The Show, which has struggled mightily with online performance and stability since inception, should offer an "Extra Innings" mode online. That proposal generated a significant response from listeners on social media and forums intrigued by the concept and the benefits it would offer - along with expressing hope that other sports games could include unique online experiences.  (more…)...

    With just five weeks to go until release most of what there is to know about MLB 15: The Show has already been laid out.     SCEA held a third developer live stream for MLB 15: The Show. The focus this time wasn't on specific features but rather just playing through the majority (a few innings were skipped) of a lengthy game between the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates.     It's apparent this year that SCEA is making a strong effort to turn Diamond Dynasty mode into a lucrative revenue generator. It has failed to be that for them in the past, due to some perplexing and confusing design decisions and poor online experience, while Ultimate Team in EA Sports' games has become a massive force and grown exponentially over the same period.
