First Look at MLB 13: The Show Gameplay
The first gameplay video for MLB 13: The Show has arrived and again it comes courtesy of CJohnson403 on Twitter. It features a NLDS game with the Braves at Nationals in Postseason mode.Ā Though the footage is off-screen it is pretty good quality but keep in mind the audio enhancements, key to the Postseason mode, may be more difficult to discern. New Era recently revealed brand new hats for every team in MLB to be used during Spring Training and batting practices throughout the 2013 season. Full Rosters and Overall Player Ratings in MLB 13: The Show
The team rankings for MLB 13: The Show slipped out last week and now comes an opportunity to see the complete rosters for every team along with the overall rating of every player. Though 17 players rated 99 there is a somewhat substantial gap between those at the top and the other highly rated players. Only 5 are rated 98 and 2 rated 97. Trailer for MLB 2K13
Though 2K Sports continues to actively hide MLB 2K13 for all those interested in learning anything about the game, the one sure thing that was to arrive prior to release was an official trailer. There is nothing new to be gleaned from it unfortunately as it contains just the typical flashy replay footage, with the exception of spotting that they at least got the Astros their new uniforms, but it's something anyway.Ā (more...)...

2K Combo Pack with MLB and NBA Returns But at Reduced Value
Last year 2K Sports bundled MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12 in early March for $70 and limited it to the Xbox 360. The combo presented a good option for those who were already interested in MLB to spend just $10 more and get NBA along with it, acting as a quasi-price drop given that game was still going for $30+ on its own at that time. When the news broke that the MLB 2K series would be getting a one year reprieve expectations for the product were made justifiably lower than already had been normal. With a constrained development cycle and bleak outlook towards any future there became no reason to expect anything better than what would amount to an update of 2K12. Changes Made to Online Ranked Games in MLB 13: The Show
SCEA has released a new blog focusing on improvements to the online matchmaking system in MLB 13: The Show. While online has always been the achilles' heel of the series a few changes being made this year could help in that area.
