    The MLB trade deadline is now just a few days away and the recent deals made have been reflected in today's roster update for MLB The Show 16. Aroldis Chapman and Mike Montgomery have moved to the Cubs and Melvin Upton Jr. is now on the Blue Jays.     With the August 1 trade deadline closing in the next few roster updates for MLB The Show 16 will be delivering more roster movement than usual, and that'll potentially have an impact on every mode in the game.     A new patch went out today for MLB The Show 16 that has modified the reward system for Battle Royale. The draft-style mode within Diamond Dynasty that features a run of 3 inning games that ends with 2 losses will now award players at thresholds differing from the previous levels of 2 wins, 6 wins, 12 wins, and 20 wins. Card rewards will now be granted at 3 wins, 6 wins, 9 wins, 12 wins, and 20 wins. Additionally, rewards will be better for a team that goes 12-0 vs a team that loses once...

    Though the last week only had a few days worth of games due to the All-Star Break a roster update was still provided for MLB The Show 16 today. The most significant jump would at first appear to be with Yoenis Cespedes who's gone from a 89 all the way up to 95.     Three new All-Star themed packs have arrived in MLB The Show 16's Diamond Dynasty mode for a limited time. As is the case with any packs it's a gamble to buy them, and these pricey ones offer no guarantees of pulling something worthwhile.
