  • Additional Jerseys Finally Brought To Next-Gen NBA 2K14
    Posted January 24th, 2014 at 10:15 am 12 Comments »
Christmas may have been a month ago but the jerseys are just now making their way into NBA 2K14 on Xbox One and PS4. An update to the game today has added those as well as the Knicks and Timberwolves alternates, Spurs "Military", and Heat "Red Zone" jerseys. Unfortunately the new jerseys are attached to the official 2K roster so they can't be used with any custom rosters or in MyGM if it was started prior to now. They also won't show up in MyCareer where there is no option to make jersey ...

Consumers have struggled with the next-gen version of NBA 2K14 for various reasons since its release but the last week now has been especially painful. Server outages and related errors have persisted.Ā Despite the efforts made to get things back up and running properly Monday the barriers to play remain for many and outrage is at a fever pitch on social media and elsewhere. Unlike server trouble for most other games, which would knock out just the online-based modes, NBA 2K14 on the PS4 ...

  • Online Troubles Escalate Following Latest NBA 2K14 Patch
    Posted December 23rd, 2013 at 12:30 pm 74 Comments »
It seemed things couldn't get much worse for the next-gen version of NBA 2K14. The practically always-online nature, its damaging VC implementation, and crashes affecting many were already well publicized. Last week's patch did little to improve the situation as many are still unable to play MyCareer or MyGM due to crashes. It also introduced a new bug in MyGM that prevents proposed contract details from being altered essentially wrecking free agency. There are other areas of the game tho...

  • VC Implementation Threatens The Future Of The NBA 2K Series

It's somewhat startling to look back just a few weeks and see evaluations of NBA 2K14 that did not mention alarming tactics instituted by 2K Sports that would greatly affect consumers. The game for all intents and purposes requires an online connection and VC has been baked into almost every mode in a way that detracts from the enjoyment of the product. Of course reviews also didn't bother to check how worthless the Online Leagues were and whether online even ran properly, and they wouldn't ...
