Just over two weeks ago EA Sports released the first roster update for NBA Live 15 after having let the first week of the season pass without one. Now a second update has gone out for the game and this one includes the first changes to player ratings. There isn't much in the way of overall ratings movement. Dwight Howard rises a point to 91 and Anthony Davis to 90. Chris Paul drops a point to 93 and Carmelo Anthony to 91. Otherwise the update seems to address specific attribute categories...

It appears to be inevitable that one day, sooner rather than later, EA Sports will break the Ultimate Team modes out of their respective products and offer them as free-to-play on consoles. They're making hundreds of millions on Ultimate Team with a $60 barrier that limits its reach. How much could they make if everyone with a console had access to play?  (more…)...

The always popular player face comparisons are back! It's unfortunate that there are so few opportunities to do these type of things due to the lack of competition in sports gaming. However with both EA Sports and 2K Sports touting their respective face scanning procedures NBA 2K15 vs NBA Live 15 should make for a good one. All captures were made through the same process to ensure even ground and there will be 30 faces total put on display. The majority are well known players along with a...
  • NBA Live 15 Yet To Receive a Roster Update
    by
    Posted November 4th, 2014 at 1:30 pm 18 Comments »
While the competition has turned a corner in terms of roster updates the NBA Live series continues to struggle with it. NBA Live 14 at one point in the season went for over a month without an update and now over a week into this season NBA Live 15 is still without one. That means among the inaccuracies are Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook still in the starting lineup for the Thunder, Steve Nash starting for the Lakers, J.J. Barea missing from the Mavericks, and all sorts of other discr...
  • The Hidden Gem of NBA Live 15 Is The ESPN Camera Angle
    by

When considering what the ESPN license means for sports video games most would cite broadcast presentation and maybe commentary teams. However there are other elements that can potentially be implemented and one shines in NBA Live 15. The game has the authentic ESPN camera angles for each arena and it might be the best option to use when playing. Similar to how the TV camera shifts for baseball pitching views from stadium to stadium, and in MLB: The Show that changes up the way each gam...
