Among the items listed in the day one patch for NBA Live 15 are updated player faces for four specific players. I went in and grabbed three of them for comparison sake to see just how improved the faces are from those that shipped with the game. Joakim Noah looks the most different with changes more subtle to Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony. Check out the comparison images below by clicking the thumbnails and leave your observations in the comments!           ...
  • Day One Patch Details for NBA Live 15

    Posted October 28th, 2014 at 11:00 am 21 Comments Ľ
EA Sports released a patch today for NBA Live 15 to coincide with the game's release. It's likely the culmination of work done over the weeks that the game was delayed and addresses primarily visual details but also involves some minor gameplay adjustments. Included too is a roster update which is fitting and necessary as the season begins tonight. ♦Updated scanned heads for: Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Kawhi Leonard, Carmelo Anthony ♦Updated San Antonio Spurs championship jerseys. ...
  • NBA Live 15 Is The Game That Should Have Rebooted The Series
    by
    Posted October 27th, 2014 at 10:30 am 32 Comments Ľ
EA Sports isn't treating NBA Live 15 like it's a critical release for the series which desperately needs to establish itself on stable ground and show potential to achieve significant growth in the market within the next few years. In fact they've shown little urgency at all and even have basically admitted it's not a stellar product. No one would have been fooled otherwise but it stands in stark contrast to the way the company promoted previous failed efforts where they instead presented a ...
  • NBA Live 15 Day One EA Access Live Stream
    by
    Posted October 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 am 28 Comments Ľ
EA Sports has largely shielded consumers from NBA Live 15 and their motivations for doing so have been questioned. This is especially notable coming off four years of failure and promises to change that have been broken time and time again. When the company announced the EA Access subscription service back in July they backed themselves into a corner where they could no longer hide games they may not be all that confident in all the way through release. Now everyone who has an Xbox One and...

    by
    Posted October 22nd, 2014 at 7:30 pm 17 Comments Ľ
NBA Live 15 through EA Access on Xbox One is out now to download as a timed trial. Subscribers to the service will get six hours of play time before it expires with the timer ticking down whenever the game is loaded regardless of whether it is being played, menus are being navigated through, or if there is any activity taking place at all. So make sure to exit out and close the application from the Xbox One home screen when not in use. The six hours are there to play whether its all used...
  • Six Hour NBA Live 15 Stream Tomorrow
    by
    Posted October 22nd, 2014 at 11:00 am 35 Comments Ľ
EA Sports may have avoided showing gameplay for NBA Live 15 but their commitment to the EA Access program means they couldn't hide the game completely. Tomorrow I'll be holding a live stream of NBA Live 15 running through the entirety of the six hours and in the process will have hopefully shown off sufficient gameplay and most of the modes. Last year hundreds of people joined me in experiencing NBA Live 14 in a live stream that went on for over six hours. What would have been torturous o...
  • No Pre-Release Demo for NBA Live 15
    by
    Posted October 16th, 2014 at 9:45 am 34 Comments Ľ
Multiple reports have now surfaced that a demo for NBA Live 15 will not be out prior to release and instead will go out on the game's release day of October 28. This is the case despite EA Sports having implied over the summer that not only would there be a demo but it would go out super early and that the company had other various ways planned for people to get their hands on the game. Whether EA was intentionally misleading (quite possible considering their PR tactics with the franchise i...
  • EA Showing No Urgency for What May Be Make or Break Year for NBA Live
    by
    Posted October 15th, 2014 at 10:15 am 33 Comments Ľ
NBA Live 15 is due out in under two weeks and in just eight days it'll be made available through EA Access on Xbox One. Most wouldn't really know it though with the lack of promotion it has received and all attention going towards the competition. EA has largely shielded Live 15 from consumer. Rather than show off gameplay they've pushed screenshots and information like player ratings, team rankings and the soundtrack.¬† (more…)...
  • Soundtrack for NBA Live 15
    by
    Posted October 14th, 2014 at 10:15 am 15 Comments Ľ
EA Sports has released the full list of songs that are included in NBA Live 15. The soundtrack has been put together by MICK who was also involved with Live 14. No promises have been made that new songs will be added throughout the season - as was the case with Live 14 and never fulfilled - but it wouldn't be surprising if it were to happen this time around. You can listen to the playlist through Soundcloud here. The soundtrack is made up of mostly unknowns and that could be refreshing ...
  • EA Making Server Stability a Selling Point of NBA Live 15
    by
    Posted October 13th, 2014 at 3:30 pm 18 Comments Ľ
It's certainly no coincidence that while NBA 2K15 struggles with its servers, resulting in inaccessible modes or some that have yet to function properly at all, that EA Sports has come out to proclaim their upcoming game will not experience similar problems. A few mentions from the company related to NBA Live 15 lately have raised eyebrows. It's an area where they can take advantage but the same could have been said last year and they failed to do so.¬† (more…)...
