The info on the demo was originally revealed along with all the news on the Live Pro-Am mode. NBA 2K16 and NBA Live 16 don't share a lot in common in terms of the modes they'll be offering up, but they do have one that is not just similar in nature but share the same name: Pro-Am. The 2K Pro-Am takes the place of last year's Jordan Rec Center, and continues with 5-on-5 (every player can be controlled by a different user or some spots taken by CPU) and NBA rules. Leaderboards and matchmaking have been added - no more time wasted waiting in "Got Next" spots! However the biggest new...

It may be coming one year too late to take full advantage of an opening presented by the competition, which will now be offering up a similar mode by the very same name late next month, but the announcement of Live Pro-Am for NBA Live 16 is a significant one. The Pro-Am encompasses two different modes: Live Run and Summer Circuit. EA Sports had been hinting at Live Run making a comeback since June. It returns six years after it was a popular mode of play in NBA Live 10. Unlike adidas Live...

Over the course of E3 week, in addition to trailers and feature news, EA Sports rolled out the pre-order incentives and special editions for FIFA 16, NHL 16, and NBA Live 16. Similar to Madden NFL 16, which had it's info go out earlier, the games outside of Live are essentially being offered in different tiers now. That, of course, is related to the amount of up-front Ultimate Team content desired by consumers.  (more…)...

Yesterday the first breakdown of Madden NFL 16 footage was posted, taking a closer look at that game out of E3. Today attention turns to NBA Live 16 which EA Sports hopes will see a resurgence this year. The company is making some big claims that will draw additional scrutiny should they fail to live up to them but at this point they really have nothing to lose. It's important to be somewhat cautious in analyzing basketball games played by people, more so than other sports games, becau...

EA Sports rolled out new trailers for their upcoming games at E3. What kind of traction have they had on Youtube and is there anything to be gleaned from view numbers? What probably stands out the most is how Madden really isn't drawing at a rate that would be representative of its sales numbers - something that seems to be a trend over recent years.  (more…)...
