Reactions to the NBA 2K10 Patch
With the highly anticipated patch release for NBA 2K10 yesterday (for the 360) I thought it would be a good idea to look at the reaction the patch was getting around the community as well as adding my own personal thoughts on it. NCAA Basketball 10 Demo Videos
Yesterday brought the release of the NCAA Basketball 10 demo (at least for those with a 360) and I posted up my initial impressions of the after spending some time with it. You can check out that article here. In addition to the impressions I wanted to get a few HD videos of the demo up. NBA 2K10 Patch (360) Now Available
The patch for NBA 2K10 on the Xbox 360 has gone live. When starting up the game an auto-prompt will appear stating there is an update available. As long as the console is connected online this should occur. The PS3 patch is still in the certification stage and appears headed towards release sometime next week. NCAA Basketball 10 Demo Impressions
Generally it takes a few times through to get a good feel for a sports game from a demo. However because of the similarities to NBA Live 10 the demo for NCAA Basketball 10 comes across as ultra accessible and familiar. EA Modifies NCAA Basketball 10 Demo Availability
EA Sports has sent out a press release announcing the availability of the NCAA Basketball 10 demo. It is now available for the 360. While it has not shown up in the "New Arrivals" section it can be found by going to "All Game Demos" and searching by the letter 'N'. What is most stunning out of the press release is a change to when the PS3 will be receiving the demo. NBA 2K10 Patch (360) Out Tomorrow
The patch for NBA 2K10 is scheduled to be released at about 2am PT for the 360 according to 2K Sports. As to the PS3 there is nothing new to share there so it seems likely that will happen sometime next week. The patch is supposed to alleviate framerate problems among other fixes that can be found here. NCAA Basketball 10 Demo Details
With the demo for NCAA Basketball 10 slated to release tomorrow EA Sports has revealed some details on what to expect out of it. The demo will be a single five minute half and will feature North Carolina @ Duke. The CBS presentation package will be featured. While five minutes still isn't an ideal length for a demo at least they didn't break it into multiple even shorter segments. NCAA Basketball 10 Fact Sheet
EA Sports has released the full fact sheet for NCAA Basketball 10. The fact sheet contains the information provided to retailers and reviewers. While there is nothing new compared to the features list it does go into a little more detail for each area. NBA and Madden Patch Updates
The second patch for Madden 10 is in certification testing with MS and Sony. It is unclear when it started that process but it is reasonable to expect it to arrive by the middle of the month. EA Strikes Back With New Blog
Earlier this week controversy arose when a 2K Sports representative criticized the way the NBA Live 10 patch was being received. Rather than respond directly to that statement it seems that EA Sports has taken another approach.
