    The round of Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning. The 2015 show takes place on Sunday, January 11 on NBC and is hosted for the third straight year by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Leading the way in number of nominations for movies is Birdman followed by Boyhood and The Imitation Game.   • Benedict Cumberbatch Announced as Doctor Strange

    Rumored to be in the works even before the big Marvel press event at the end of October, the studio today officially announced Benedict Cumberbatch to play Doctor Strange. Cumberbatch is best known for his performances in the BBC's Sherlock and Star Trek Into Darkness. “Stephen Strange’s story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity,” said Producer Kevin Feige. “In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character.” ...

    Universal today released the first trailer for the upcoming fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise.     After much speculation the official title for the next Star Wars film has been revealed. Episode VII will go by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The news was made fairly casually on Twitter accompanied by the mention that principle photography has been completed.
