  • Full game of NFL Tour (H2H): Eagles vs Browns

Here is a game played against a buddy of mine. He took the Eagles and I went with the Browns. Cleveland is one of my favorite teams in the game, and the Eagles are one of the best as well making this a really good match-up. The game really opens up when you play against another person, and the added element of trash talk makes it that much more fun. The game we played prior to this one (but didn't record) was a classic. Through about 60 games played I had never completed a successful user...
  • Three more full games of NFL Tour

Here are three more complete game videos of NFL Tour. The difficulty level remains one above the default. The three match-ups are Bills vs Rams, Chargers vs Colts, and Seahawks vs Packers. The next to come will be a head-to-head game which should show some of the difference between playing against another person and going up against the CPU. Look for that this afternoon. A highlight video with some of the big plays via replay footage will follow later in the day. Continue on to see the t...
  • NFL Tour full game: Bears vs Vikings

Here is the first full game of NFL Tour with the Bears going up against the Vikings. Adrian Peterson has an insane run right at the end of the first half that has to be seen. I'll have that in replay mode for an upcoming highlight video I'll do for him. This game was played on the difficulty one above the default, which as I've noted previously provides a more balanced and enjoyable experience as the default is rather easy. One common question I've gotten regards the rosters and whether ...
  • NFL Tour questions and requests

For those of you curious about anything related to NFL Tour feel free to leave your questions in the comments. Also when it comes to videos if there are certain teams, match-ups, or individual players you'd like to see featured feel free to mention that as well. In response to the demo that is out for the PS3 I wanted to make comment on two factors that should be considered. The first thing is that the game is much more enjoyable head-to-head than it will be playing against the CPU. Hopef...

The NFL Tour demo is now available for the PS3. It will be coming to the 360 Marketplace as well, however it seems likely that it won't be out until next week. The demo features the Patriots against the Chargers with one minute halves (the default in the game is two) and can go into overtime. Feel free to post up your thoughts in the comments section. Also keep an eye out for details on an NFL Tour online tournament for the 360, details of which will be posted in the near future. NFL T...

After a hiatus the PadreCast returns. They'll become more regular with shows once a week or whenever a topic catches fire within the community. The guest on the show is EA Sports Community Manager Will Kinsler. To shake off the rust, this PadreCast is more on the lighter side of things as we discuss our experiences playing NFL Tour at the recent event in New York as well as our thoughts on some of the teams and players in the game....
  • Seven NFL Tour producer videos

    Posted December 25th, 2007 at 7:07 am 8 Comments »
Gametrailers has posted up seven new producer videos going over aspects of NFL Tour. Some of the things discussed are the overall story and concept behind the game, the controls, single player Tour mode and create-a-player, the game's presentation and graphics, the two mini-games, and the Smash Meter. One thing I would say when looking at the gameplay in the vids is I would recommend bumping up the difficulty level one higher than the default. It forces the action a little more because th...
  • Ranking the teams in NFL Tour

After having played with or against every team in NFL Tour (full impressions of the game can be found here) I came away with a general feeling on how good each of them are. I didn't take note of the actual offensive and defensive rankings they had but it was apparent when playing as you could tell the difference between them. So based on my experience I've broken them down into four tiers. The first is the most dominant teams, generally well balanced ones that will present dynamic offense...
  • NFL Tour hands-on impressions

I was able to get a substantial amount of time in with NFL Tour at the PR event over the weekend. Tour is a game designed for those who have found others such as Madden to be too complicated or just a change of pace from the simulation experience. It strives to be simplistic and easy to play while providing a fun time. Tour has really turned out to be a fun game head-to-head but it isn't going to provide a deep or nearly as satisfying experience from playing the CPU. That isn't a knock on...
  • Getting time in with NFL Tour

I have arrived in New York for the NFL Tour event where I'll have the opportunity to get some hands-on time with the game, discussion with producer Phil Frazier, and a chance to chat with Trey Wingo who does the commentary for the game. While I'm out here the site will continue to be updated though it may come more in bunches than at different times throughout the day. Look for my initial impressions of the game to come by early Monday morning although I may have something sooner than tha...
