    Two major injuries occurred in week nine of the NFL season with Geno Atkins placed on IR and Aaron Rodgers facing an extended period of time sidelined.     Eight weeks of the NFL season are now in the books and the potential playoff picture in both the AFC and NFC are starting to take shape.     Tracking behind the support of previous years, and facing criticism for that as the focus shifts towards the next-gen debut, EA Sports today confirmed a patch release is nearing for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Madden NFL 25. Details on what to expect have been provided and include some fixes to gameplay, Ultimate Team, and Connected Franchise - unfortunately however it doesn't appear to be nearly as extensive an update as those completed for past games.     Week seven of the NFL season was a terrible one for injuries as the season has ended for Reggie Wayne, Leon Hall, Brian Cushing, Sam Bradford, and Doug Martin.     It's now past mid-October and EA Sports has yet to release a patch for Madden NFL 25. This is a significant milestone because of when patches have historically been released for Madden.     The roster update for Madden NFL 25 following week six of the season arrived on Thursday for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and now the full list of details have been provided. The document is not sorted by team as is typically the case but rather biggest increases in overall on down to biggest decreases.     EA Sports today released a new gameplay trailer for Madden NFL 25 along with three clips showing the rewritten offensive line blocking logic in action with a focus on pass blocking.
