  • PlayStation App Out on iOS and Android

    Sony today released the official PlayStation app - grab it now through iTunes for iOS devices or Google Play for Android. The app will turn phones and tablets into second screens for the PlayStation 4 that will communicate with the console in a similar fashion to that of SmartGlass on the Xbox 360 and One. It also provides access to PS4 friends lists and trophies, acts as a remote control, becomes a keyboard for typing messages, and can even be used to watch the streaming gameplay of others....

    In addition to the console versions released today NBA 2K14 has also arrived for iOS devices (download from iTunes here) for $8. That is the same price NBA 2K13 released at on mobile to generally poor reviews while other companies have instead been trending towards the free-to-play model.     Today not only brought the console release of FIFA 14 but also versions for iOS (download through iTunes) and Android (download through Google Play) devices. The game is free-to-play like Madden NFL 25's mobile offering which means the focus is on the Ultimate Team aspect and in-app purchases. Controls are similar as it utilizes screen taps and swipes.     The mobile version of Madden NFL 25 that came out in late August on iOS has now arrived for Android devices and can be downloaded through Google Play.     NFL Runner: Football Dash released today for both iOS (download from iTunes) and Android (download from Google Play) devices.     Madden NFL 25 released today for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad while Android will have to wait until later in the year. It represents EA's first attempt at a free-to-play sports game on mobile that will be driven by microtransactions instead of the up-front price.     Last month it was confirmed that the mobile version of FIFA 14 would be coming to Android in addition to iOS. Feature wise the controls are being altered again for FIFA 14 with dragging on the screen to move players, swiping the ball towards the goal to shoot, and tapping on players to pass to them.
