Gameplanet, a New Zealand website, has released some previously unknown specifics on 2K Sports' Don King Presents: Prizefighter. It looks as though they were able to obtain a partial fact sheet.

Prizefighter release date speculation

Don King: Prizefighter has been added into the Gamestop/EB database and is listed with a tentative release date of Tuesday April 1st. While this isn't a confirmed date generally it is a good indication when a game is added in this close to its proposed release window. Prizefighter was expected to be released in April it was just unknown what Tuesday it would fall on.

10 screens from Don King Presents: Prizefighter have been released providing the first look at the new game. They come from the Xbox 360 version (the Wii and DS will also be seeing the game).
The inevitable comparisons between Prizefighter and Fight Night Round 3 will be made at every step and with these screens brings the first impression that Prizefighter's graphics are not nearly as impressive.

2K Sports has officially unveiled a new sports franchise with the announcement of Don King Presents: Prizefighter. Set to release in April 2008 the game will be available on the Xbox 360, Wii, and DS. Thats right, apparently there will be no PS3 version.

Fight Night moves to EA Canada after Chicago closing

The news that EA had decided to close their Chicago studio brought about some concern over the future of the franchises that have been produced there. Fight Night was the one EA Sports title out of EA Chicago.
A few weeks back I noticed in the press release for EA Playground that it mentioned that Fight Night was an EA Canada title. Here is the excerpt from that October 23rd press release.
