More Boxers For FNR4
Released two weeks ago the Heavyweight roster for Fight Night Round 4 was received with some level of disappointment. Big dollar requirements to sign each individual is likely the reason for that, so other weight classes may be more fleshed out. IGN has posted screenshots of five more boxers that will be in the game. You can check out those screens here.
Included are Roy Jones Jr, Sergio Mora, Kelly Pavlik, Vinny Paz, and Jermain Taylor. Some of them were already known but Pavlik and Paz ...
The Physics of FNR4
EA Sports has released a new trailer for Fight Night Round 4 that focuses on the new physics engine. Some of the aspects specifically displayed in the video include inside fighting, punching through blocks, and glancing blows. These are all things that people have been hoping for and from what I've seen of the game at the very least appear to be natural and fluid.
This video seems to have piqued some interest in FNR4 again after it seemed for a while like UFC had taken command. Continue o...
FNR4 Heavyweight Roster Revealed
IGN has released the roster of heavyweights that will be included in Fight Night Round 4. The seven fighters will be Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Eddie Chambers, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Lennox Lewis, and James Toney. Head on over to see screenshots of each one.
Apparently though there is one heavyweight being kept secret. Any guesses as to who that could be? These are obviously some big names but after seeing that UFC roster it feels a little underwhelming....
FNR4 Demo Comes Early For Gamestop Preorders
I glossed over this when it was initially mentioned in the cover press release however I think it presents an interesting topic to address. Gamestop preorders will have exclusive access to the Fight Night Round 4 demo two weeks before it is released to the general public.
Online Customers: A unique code and instructions to unlock the demo will be emailed one day prior to the demo's release date.
In-Store Pickup / Store Customers: A Pre-order card with code and instructions to unlock the de...

It's been a long three years since we were blown away with the beautiful graphics of Fight Night Round 3. After taking a look at the latest installment of the Fight Night series it seems well worth the wait as the game is similar to its predecessor's release on the (at the time) newly released Xbox 360. There's something really intoxicating when watching this version of Iron Mike stroll down to the ring and now that I can add any track I want it's going to be nothing short of epic.

FNR4 Removes Button Punching
FNR3 brought about a debate between analog and button punchers and the possible in-balance presented by allowing both to be used. A recent preview from Gamespy discusses how Fight Night Round 4 is completely removing the option to use the buttons to punch.
Button mashing has been banished. Round 4 is going to force you to use the right stick to punch. After years of enduring randomly button-mashing boxers, I'm relieved to hear that they'll have to work a little harder to land some blows. Pe...
FNR4 Gameplay Trailer

The trailer attempts to display some different new aspects of the game such as the importance of height and reach and being one punch away from victory. First Look at FNR4
ESPN has an exclusive preview for Fight Night Round 4 which goes over the game in detail in a Five Things You Need To Know article. Gameplay changes, graphics, and career mode are all discussed. You can check it out in full here.
The premise is all about lacing them up and defining your legacy in whatever division you decide. And when I say legacy, I'm talking about everything from you never really made it to be anything bigger than a bum to being considered a club fighter, and then there's...
FNR4 Release Date and Cover
EA Sports has finally solidified the release date for Fight Night Round 4. The game will be out on Tuesday June 30th. Interestingly that falls on the birthday of Mike Tyson who is the centerpiece of this game. As expected Tyson and Muhammad Ali share the cover.
The release date makes sense in that it falls in between dates for other EA Sports games that were already known. Tiger Woods 10 and Grand Slam Tennis are coming on June 16th and NCAA Football 10 is out July 14th.
Update: The re...

The Vancouver Fight Night Round 4 event was already highly anticipated however this was elevated with the release of the Fight Night Round 4 Ali-Tyson teaser just recently. Over the next weeks and months pastapadre.com will be trickling down the awesome features to this upcoming addition to the Fight Night Series.
