    One of the most significant changes for Fight Night Champion comes with a change to the punch controls. While staying on the analogs as the default, the new "Full Spectrum Punch Controls" takes the angle the stick is pushed as opposed to completing various gestures.     When the roster of 54 boxers was released last week much of the reaction focused on names that weren't included. Of course every boxer has to be signed to their own deal which is a difficult and time consuming process.     While most of the talk around Fight Night Champion has been centered on the "Champion" story mode that has brought about the M rating for the game, the traditional career "Legacy" mode remains.     The confirmed roster for Fight Night Champion includes a mix of 54 current and legendary fighters with 13 of them brand new to the Fight Night series.     A brand new preview of Fight Night Champion has gone up on Inside Xbox. Discussion centers on some of the improvements that have been made for the game with the new analog punching controls, flash KOs, "Champion" mode, being the first M rated title from EA Sports, and more. The glimpses of gameplay though will likely be the most valuable pieces of the video however.     One of the complaints surrounding Fight Night Round 4 was the tumultuous pre-release experience due to various pre-order deals and demo release dates. Tying in the demo with pre-orders turned out to be a massive mistake that stunted momentum and created confusion. Essentially there were three different demo dates dependent on whether it was pre-ordered at Gamestop and which system was in question. Thankfully it doesn't appear that EA Sports will be taking a similar route with Fight Night Champ...

    Yesterday it was discovered that Fight Night Champion will be the first M rated title from EA Sports along with some news on features. They have since revealed the first trailer which includes actual game footage but as expected no glimpses of gameplay. It is intended primarily to introduce the story element of Fight Night Champion.     Fight Night Champion will be the first ever "Rated M" title developed by EA Sports. That explicit nature and brutality will be represented not just through bloody fights but also with what is being described as mature content found in the "lifestyle and culture of boxing". This news could be encouraging or worrisome depending on how it's looked at. The game will also include improved punch controls and one-punch knockouts, physics-based gameplay, and expanded online play modes. Continue on ...
