In a recent preview ESPN broke down the implementation of Kinect for Xbox 360 in the upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 and EA Sports has also rolled out a trailer of the features in action. For the first time a sim title will fully utilize the motion-device both in capturing the swings as well as taking advantage of voice capabilities. Interestingly swings will take place parallel to the TV screen/Kinect placement rather than facing it with the side of the body - that will allow for the ca...

With the first year anniversary of Kinect for Xbox 360's release having just passed it's interesting to study how much (if enough) the hardware and it's implementation in games has advanced over that time. After having experienced some of the features in KS2 it has become apparent there there is real potential for ways to utilize the hardware in the stan...

The demo for the upcoming (due out on October 25th - Amazon is offering $10 promo credit) Kinect Sports: Season Two arrived today on XBL. Kinect Sports launched alongside Kinect for Xbox 360 last November and it was generally well-received but as with most mini-game compilations eventually interest began to wear thin. Still it was well supported with both free and paid additional downloadable content and ultimately provided a good deal of fun. Table tennis in particular was a blast online. ...

At the Microsoft E3 press conference this morning EA Sports president Peter Moore appeared to discuss plans for Kinect for Xbox 360 support in the company's sports titles. Madden NFL 12, FIFA 12, and the Tiger Woods series will all incorporate the motion control system in some form or fashion. There is also a future title that has not been announced which will feature Kinect. Team sports games have struggled to introduce compelling motion control options. Those typically translate better ...
