FIFA 09 will bring the expansion of the Online Team Play to 10 on 10. That means 09 will offer up to a total of 20 different 360s or PS3s the ability to connect into a single online game. The lineup for E3 is taking shape and both EA Sports and 2K Sports have named the games that will be on hand. EA will have NCAA Football 09, Madden 09, Tiger Woods 09, Facebreaker, and NBA Live 09 on display. 2K will be bringing NBA 2K9 and NHL 2K9. Joystiq recently gave hands-on impressions of the EA Sports "All Play" titles coming out in the near future on the Wii. Amongst all the information about FIFA 09 to have come out since yesterday was an interesting quote from producer David Rutter in a Q&A with Gamespot AU. I came across this new trailer the other day for Blood Bowl. I had taken notice of earlier screenshots but didn't really know how much it would apply itself as a sports game other than it incorporated football to some extent. However after watching the trailer it looks like it will come across being a fantasy RTS and sports hybrid. It is difficult to know how much it may appeal to the sports gaming crowd though. A recent Madden 09 producer blog with Anthony White covered in great detail the authenticity to the team offensive playbooks this year. Included are several videos and screenshots displaying various formations.
