NBA 2K10 Wii Delayed to 11/9
This is the first year that 2K Sports will be offering the NBA 2K franchise on the Nintendo Wii. Originally scheduled to release on 6th alongside the other versions it was delayed until the 19th. Now though the game has been pushed again, this time back to November 9th. FIFA 10 Hard Drive Evaluation
With FIFA 10 in hand I have gone through and timed different loading areas when running off the disc compared to running off the hard drive on the 360. Installing to the hard drive not only has proven to cut down on load times, in some cases significantly, but it also reduces stress to the system and the noise it produces. EA Sports and the Brees Dream Foundation are now offering pink and black Drew Brees jerseys for the avatars on Playstation Home. The jerseys are sold for $2 with all proceeds going to the foundation which supports breast cancer awareness. The jerseys will be available until November 11th. NHL 10 came off a year where pretty much everything worked properly at and following launch, even with the introduction of the EASHL. That has not been the case this year. Initially it was the freezing issues with the game. They may have alleviated some that were being seen after a server fix however they remain a problem for some. Yet another rumor hitting the rounds today as The Street reports there is some chatter that Microsoft may be looking at purchasing Electronic Arts. The EA stock has risen slightly with the talk as the catalyst. According to Minyanville several companies are examining a possible takeover of THQ which has been struggling in recent years. Chief among those companies is Electronic Arts with other possibilities mentioned being Time Warner and News Corp. The big interest for EA would be the two significant licenses for the UFC and WWE that THQ holds. FIFA 10 Demo Now Available
The demo for FIFA 10 released for the 360 this morning and should be out on the PS3 this afternoon. It includes six teams and consists of exhibition matches with three minute halves with adjustable game speed and camera options. Both NHL 10 and NHL 2K10 released yesterday and reports have been coming in of freezing issues with both. Various forums have posts from users who are having their games crash. For NHL 10 problems seem to be occurring in random places within games as well as during menu navigation or while in lobbies.
