The three week tournament to determine the golfers that would join Tiger Woods on the cover of the upcoming entry in the series has concluded with Rickie Fowler winning for North America and Rory McIlroy for Europe. SSX Release Moves to February
A new trailer for SSX has revealed the game's release date - February 14th. FIFA 12 Patch Now Available
The first post-release patch for FIFA 12 arrived today for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. This update most prominently addresses a perceived exploit online as some users were selecting to control the goalie leaving the CPU to handle all defenders - now the option to switch to the goalie has been removed. Kinect Sports: Season Two Demo Out Now
The demo for the upcoming (due out on October 25th - Amazon is offering $10 promo credit) Kinect Sports: Season Two arrived today on XBL. Kinect Sports launched alongside Kinect for Xbox 360 last November and it was generally well-received but as with most mini-game compilations eventually interest began to wear thin. FIFA 12 Shines with Online Seasons
The mode in FIFA 12 that has captured the most of my play-time has been online 'Head-to-Head Seasons'. Reminiscent of 2010 FIFA World Cup in that it offers a ladder of sorts in "divisions" it adds in a fantastic new way of matchmaking which creates the most fair of pairings possible. Last year FIFA 11 became the fastest selling sports game in history - it has now been topped by the latest in the series. For those who have already purchased the EA Sports ‘Season Ticket’ or choose to do so now – the download of FIFA 12 for the Xbox 360 is out now and access to the PS3 version has opened as of this evening. Forza 4 DLC Plans Announced
Microsoft today revealed plans for six downloadable content pack releases for Forza Motorsport 4 - and consumers will have the opportunity to purchase in full with their 'Season Pass'. For 2400 MS points ($30) all of the DLC will be included which amounts to a 30% savings compared to buying them all individually.
