  • NCAA Football 09 cover reveal event
    by pastapadre
    Posted April 25th, 2008 at 8:15 am
Some of you may have noticed that my initial hands-on impressions of NCAA Football 09 are no longer up. Apparently there was some sort of miscommunication and we were not informed of an embargo which holds until May 2nd. I'll have my full gameplay and feature impressions up then. So I thought I'd throw up a short recap of the PS3 NCAA cover reveal event with some pictures. Jake Long, Matt Ryan, Darren McFadden, DeSean Jackson, Chris Long, and Owen Schmitt were in attendance along with the g...

    Posted April 23rd, 2008 at 10:56 am
With all the events of this week I thought it would be beneficial to make everyone aware of what you can expect over the next several days. Below I've laid out my initial expectations. Keep in mind though that things may play out differently depending on the circumstances. If things change wildly then I'll try and drop a note about it on here. Despite being tied up with various things at times I will attempt to update the site as much as possible (as I generally do even when away attending ...

    Posted March 28th, 2008 at 12:24 am
Today marks the one year anniversary of the site. It began as a side project and after about two months become my main sports gaming focus. It has been pretty remarkable to me the growth that has occurred in such a short period of time and the increased influence that has come with it for the community. I thought I'd leave a few statistics about the first year for your enjoyment! 802 articles 9,593 comments 884,000 visits 2,702,000 page views In just the last month 176,000 visits and ...

Given the short amount of time available I basically just bounced from question to question to try and get as much in as possible. Click this link to download the audio file from rapidshare. by pastapadre
    Posted December 14th, 2007 at 10:30 am
I have arrived in New York for the NFL Tour event where I'll have the opportunity to get some hands-on time with the game, discussion with producer Phil Frazier, and a chance to chat with Trey Wingo who does the commentary for the game. While I'm out here the site will continue to be updated though it may come more in bunches than at different times throughout the day. Look for my initial impressions of the game to come by early Monday morning although I may have something sooner than tha...

    by pastapadre
    Posted October 10th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
Earlier today I was able to take part in an hour long conference call with Peter Moore of EA Sports. This was a unique opportunity to have direct communication and responses to questions with the president of the company on a wide variety of topics. The overall theme of the call could be summed up with the importance that EA places on the community. Just having this take place is a sign of that, but it was reiterated throughout. Moore discussed how he takes it very seriously and likes bei...
