Chuck Returns in January

There has been a lot of discussion and speculation regarding when the third season of Chuck would premiere. NBC's original plan was to start it in March after the Olympics were through. However with the cancellation of both Southland and the end of Trauma in sight the network had openings in its schedule to fill. Lost Season 6 Gets Premiere Date

ABC has released the information that fans of Lost have been waiting for by announcing details on the premiere and the time slot for the sixth and final season of the series.
Lost will debut on February 2nd with a recap episode at 8pm followed by the two hour premiere from 9pm-11pm. From then on the season will air at 9pm on Tuesday nights.
Originally the season was believed to have a start date on January 20th. The move to 2/2 likely means the show will stay on throughout the Olympics...

ABC has released the official poster for the sixth and final season of Lost. Click the image above for the full version of the poster. This is about the only thing that will be available to analyze as the network is not going to show a single second of footage or have any discussion on details relating to the season before it begins on January 20th.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has secured the television rights to 2012 and Zombieland. Even though FX has premiered other blockbusters in the past, this is still pretty significant news considering how well 2012 did this past weekend.
Appropriately, the Sony movie will make its debut on the basic cable network in the beginning of 2012.

Fox Cancels Dollhouse

Despite mediocre ratings while airing on Friday nights Dollhouse has enjoyed a supportive fan base and strong DVR viewership. It was able to survive its first season and made for somewhat of a surprise when it was picked up for a second season. However recent signs started appearing that it was in danger with the most glaring one when Fox pulled the show for November sweeps.

FlashForward Ratings Reason for Concern

When FlashForward debuted earlier this fall it was the most buzzed about new show on TV. The ratings were good though they were not spectacular. Since the premiere fan following has dropped and that is being seen in the ratings. Last week's episode, which was hyped to be the "one you had to see", delivered the lowest ratings for the series thus far.

V Premiere Gets Big Ratings

The highly anticipated premiere of V drew numbers that almost certainly exceeded expectations for ABC. The show pulled in 13.9 million viewers and an outstanding 5.0 rating in the critical 18-49 demo. That made it the highest rated new series of the season. It did this despite showing in the generally weaker 8pm hour and against NCIS which is the top show on TV. While NCIS came in first in overall viewers V topped it in the 18-49 demo.

Earlier this year Hugh Jackman breathed life back into the Academy Awards with his performance as host. After recently stating he would not return this year the speculation started right up as to who should take over. One thing was for sure though and that was the Academy could not just go with a rehash.

The premiere of V takes place tonight on ABC at 8PM. V is a remake of the 1984 mini-series about an alien race that arrives and presents themselves as friendly but really have sinister motives.
