    As Netflix prepares to lose the biggest contributor to their streaming service early next year in Starz they have been actively working to add new content. The latest deal involves TV network AMC - who's Mad Men and Breaking Bad has already been made available on Netflix - but will be providing even more going forward.     Cult-favorite television series Arrested Development has gone through a number of rumors and apparent stages of development for a potential movie ever since it was cancelled in 2006. A proper script had to be completed and the logistics of getting the whole original cast back together was daunting.     It's a top heavy week of releases as Fast Five, which has raked in over $600 million worldwide, arrives along with a slight box office disappointment in Scream 4. Beyond that I would highly recommend picking up Friday Night Lights - which finished it's brilliant five season run earlier this year.   • Fox Picks Up New Girl for Full Season

    Last year the first full season pickup and renewal came from Fox who was pleased enough with the ratings for the comedy Raising Hope to extend their commitment. The same thing has happened this year except for what is a ratings smash with the comedy New Girl. Fox has granted it 11 additional episodes taking it to a full season order of 24.   • Amazon Adds Fox to Streaming Service

    For those frustrated by Netflix's recent actions one of the competing services is Amazon who offers streaming to Prime members. The company has announced that they have signed a deal with FOX to add a wide selection of movies and TV shows. That will add to the service which already has CBS, NBC, Sony, and Warner Bros.     Netflix today announced that they will be completely separating their DVD rental and streaming services into two different companies. The Netflix name will stay with the streaming side while a new company to be known as Qwikster will handle the DVDs. Yes, that means that those who want both will need to subscribe indepedently to different websites, and create queues and rate films/shows on each - there will be no integration between the two.     The 2011 Emmy Awards were notable for a number of surprises. Friday Night Lights finally got recognition as it won for writing and Kyle Chandler walked away with Best Actor in a Drama, while Peter Dinklage won for Supporting Actor representing Game of Thrones.
