What do you want to see in NCAA 09?

I know its really early to start thinking 09, but this is when the ideas get going for the NCAA team. The community leaders may have a chance to give input, so I'm curious to hear what is important to everyone out there.

A minor change I would want is a Heisman Trophy Presentation Ceremony.

Classic teams: How nice would it be to have the classic teams, all time teams, and all American teams back?

Create a school: I miss this feature. A little more in depth creation and it could be amazing.

Alternate uniforms: I understand this years game will have them, but imagine how freakin great it would be if all the teams (or least the major ones) had every uniform they ever used availabe. It is possible if they took the time to do it. Imagine every big time team having around 30-40 uniform combos.

Team specific entrances/pagentry features: I want to see the Canes run through the smoke like in older versions, I want the Noles to have the Chief throw flaming spears on the field. I want to see everything. I want to see what makes college football great. The tradition. 04 or 05 had this in the game.

Pregame Impact Player: Last year they would show some sort of animation prior to the start of the game. Minor I know, but still liked this feature.

Division 1-AA: Would like these teams to be included next year and their real stadiums.

Online Leagues or Dynasty: Would like to be able to have online leagues or dynasties with multiple players.

In addition to HustlinOwl's idea of Create a school, I'd like to see Create a High School when you begin Campus Legend. Instead of just choosing a default Uniform color, you should be able to make your own. You should also be able to upload your own music, and use it as your schools music.

Same with Create A College, they should make the customization endless.

Same with my Create a High School idea, you should be able to import your own music for your school music. I think that would be a great idea.

College Atmosphere- I liked it back in NCAA 06 when you could feel the Stadium pulsing. Unfortunatly, that hasn't carried over to Next-Gen yet. Also, to have the Stadiums empty out during blowouts would be a nice edition.

I would enjoy a create a college and it would be fun to use it for the 1 to 6 star achievement. Also, post game celebrations like when you win a bowl game, the coach gets the gatorade dumped on him or the team holding up the trophy they won. I would like to see for dynasty mode the ability to upgrade the campus like in March Madness and maybe even upgrade the stadium. And finally, the alternate jerseys should be included in the final release instead of being offered on Marketplace.

First of all, I'm going to apologize for the length of the post but one night I thought of a lot of ideas for CL mode. I understand that a lot of these may not be possible but something in this direction would be kind of nice...let me know what you think:

1) Recruiting
I would like to see some more involvement in the recruiting process. As of now, it tells you only what schools attend games and then all of a sudden you're supposed to pick a school, only being given your perspective position on the depth chart. It would be nice to almost have reverse recruiting; set your top 10 schools, receive pitches, scholarship offers, the whole deal. At the end of the day, you may not get a scholarship offer from your #1 school in which you could try to walk-on (with the possibility of being red shirted) or sign with a school that gives you an offer. That being said, it may also be kind of cool to have some sort of signing day presentation, just like a lot of schools, have presentation that involves a press conference type setting and when you decide on a school you put on a hat for that specific squad.

2) Practice and the "Ladder"
I am by no means a great NCAA player, I think I'm fairly good but not great. However, it's been pretty easy to get yourself into the starting spot, especially on offense. By the time the 3rd game rolls around, most of the time you've been able to get on the starting squad. In an odd way I wish it was a bit tougher and more realistic. Even 5 star recruits may come into situations where they have trouble finding PT in their first year. Maybe there could be a system where the starting spot was determined not only by how you do but by how well the other player ahead of you plays. If I chose to go to USC as a QB, I'm not only going to have to prove myself in practice but Booty is also going to have to do some things to lose his spot. I can either 1) wait it out until he is gone or 2) Really out perform him during practices and games (during blow outs, etc). Maybe every practice you are given a certain number of points that the guy "ahead" of you had which you can use to gauge how far you need to climb.
Along those lines practices should have some options. If Madden is going to use this weapons system than maybe they could integrate it into NCAA to some degree. If I have an option QB that throws horrible, I can chose certain practice times to improve that skill through mini-games. When VY came to Texas he wasn't the most prolific passer but worked on his skills and got a lot better while still maintaining his mobility. You could make a speed RB that worked on his power skills, to make them a larger threat overall. When you move the player to Madden, he can be designated (or not) with weapons developed on campus.

This probably goes without saying by now, but EA, please...

RELEASE NCAA 09 ON THE WII!!!

The ingenious Wii controls EA created for Madden would work perfectly for NCAA, as well. By July 2008, it's estimated there will be far more Wiis on the market than Xbox 360s and PS3s combined. Madden sold more copies on the Wii than it did on the PS3, and NCAA would easily do the same if given the chance. There's absolutely no reason not to release NCAA 09 on the Wii!

Choose a rival in Dynasty Mode. For example, I like to take D-II (or is it D-IAA?) teams and bring them up to Division I to build a dynasty that way. Often, my coaching goals are to beat a primary rival, but since the team was brought up to Division I and put into a different conference, it has no rival.

So, if I'm playing a dynasty with South Carolina State and I schedule a game with South Carolina and upset them, I'd like that to be the beginning of a rivalry. I wouldn't have to play South Carolina every year, just often enough in the 30 years of my dynasty to keep the bad blood fresh.

I don't think this should change the long storied, well-known and traditional rivalries, though. I just think that in 30 years, rivalries can change--become stale or fresh or new.

1) Pregame and postgame show with Herbstreit, Nessler and Corso (including Corso putting on the mascot during the game of the week

3) Bowl end zones true to life (i.e. If Notre Dame goes to a bowl, have the end zone painted with NOTRE DAME). The generic end zones or transferring the end zone from each team's home stadium not good

4) Pregame flyover of the stadium showing the marching band in formation (cool to see the "i" get dotted at Ohio State -- again, aerial view)

5) Alternate and classic jerseys

6) Chain gang

7) Crowd dressed for weather (short sleeves in the snow?)

8) Improve weather effects on uniforms (if I get tackled in the mud, make the jersey muddy) and footprints in the snow
--Changing weather conditions (sunny with chance of showers by halftime)

9) EA Sports Locker to upload rosters

10) Classic teams

11) Allow users to distribute pride stickers

12) Allow uniform options to be seen in menu screens

13) ESPN the mag covers

14) Allow user to have a vote in coaches' poll

15) More accessories (towels, hand warmers)

I would like there to be realistic Impact Players. Colt McCoy should be an Impact Player, but for some reason they're putting Impact Players on both sides of the ball when sometimes that isn't needed. Even if you have only two real stars on you're team, they should atleast make it realistic rather than give some no name player the Impact Player status. That's the only thing that frustrates me...

I would ask them to not TOUCH the lighting as it's near perfect. i would only say cosmetically they need to work on the snow and the fact that the sideline do not represent what we would normally see. i know framerate could eb afactor but at least allow the sideline to reflect that it is cold out. i see guys with short sleeves on the sidelines...

That's visually though, gameplay wise? yikes other than tweaking and having the branching animations look even better? i would say stick with what you got

I want them to change the achivments and profile setup. I have a dynasty with my wife (yeah I love my wife), and I want to be able to get the achivments for winning the heisman or NC in that dynasty or her if she does it. Not just who ever's profile it's saved under.

CAMPUS LEGEND- You should be able to have more variety with accesories, like any color you want, move it where ever you want, different colored visors, eye paint, hand warmers, towels and many of the things that you see real players have on teams like ohio state, the sleeves(under armour) should be able to go down to the elbows or anywhere you want them. The positions should have every one of them like kickers and punters. :D Also more varieties for highschool teams or you should choose if you want to skip that. One of the biggest things is that you cant be kick returner or punt returner. :(

I agree with the idea of allowing the user to have a "vote" in the coaches poll.

Also. I don't think its the game that lags while online. It's the servers that PS3 gives us. But then again , what do you expect for free. I would rather play on these than the 360 ones any day. Then again I am a hardcore Ps guy. Gave the xbox , the 360 all their chances and didn't like them.

You are all probabley thinking then why the hell is your tag name the name that it is. Well easy , I breed boxers and have 3 of them myself , so I used that as a tag name.

Here are a few.

- When a WR is running a curl or comeback route, if you release the ball early to hit the receiver as he is coming back then actually have the receiver come back to the ball.

- In superstar mode if you are playing as a QB I would like to see the ability to use motion.

- In superstar mode there needs to be more of a play selection, with the actual teams playbooks.

- When making a EA highlight (video) I would like to see the ability to move the camera freely instead of preset camera views.

- Frequent roster updates with injuries, impact players, and appearance changes.

I agree completely. The gameplay just needs some fine-tuning (which has started with the new XB360 patch) and polish up the presentation. I hope EA dosn't start adding too many new features and ruin a solid game.
