Comments (from 3rd person point of view)
This was a solid class for Mark Richt and it landed five 5 star players along with four 4 star players. Georgia only had 14 seniors so they didn't have a lot of scholorships to give out. Even though they signed 5 blue chip prospects all was on the defensive side of the ball. They failed to get a elite HB which was one of there biggest needs.Tim Mills and Reggie Wilcox could see playing time if Caleb King or Knowshon Moreno struggle. Caleb was expected to be in dawg fight for the starting job. But Richt as handed him the starting job as a redshirt freshman. Carl Lee switching his commitment to LSU will be a intresting strory to keep a eye on over the next few years. Georgia only signed 1 DT and if Kade Weston goes pro Jesse O'neill will be they only DT on the roster. Several 4 star QB's was intrested in Georgia, but they didn't offer a scholorship to them after Mark Jackson commited to Texas A&M. Andrew Adams has freakish speed as a 250 pound DE. He may allready be the best DE on the team, but with 6 other DE's on the roster Georgia would like to redshirt him. Tyler Robinson wanted playing time right away so he won't get redshirted and could start in 2009.

Georgia vs FAU
Matthew Stafford found All SEC 1st team TE Na Derris Ward for a 8 yard TD in the 2nd quarter. Senior Demiko Goodman showed why he is the fastest player on the team and would catch a 59 yard TD (17-0). Quintin Banks a first year starter at SS came up with a interception ending a scoring chance for FAU. Na Derris Ward would catch his 2nd TD to give Georgia a 24 0 lead at half time. Stafford had a big first half going 13 of 16 while throwing for 205 yards and 2 TD. The only points in the 2nd half came on a 1 yard TD run from Brannon Southerland. Georgia would beat FAU 31 to 0
Georgia has had trouble over the past few years when playing weaker teams but that wasn't the case tonight. This was a good all around win and the 2nd string saw a lot of action. When asked about how he played Matthew Stafford said I should have never thrown the interception in the 4th quarter. It was a 4th down play and I tried to force it into double coverage. Demiko Goodman came up huge and If he keeps this up could be the big play threat they have missed since Fred Gibson.

Georgia vs Colorado
Freshman Caleb King had 2 carries for 25 yards on the first drive. That would set up a 18 yard TD by TE Na Derris Ward. That was Wards 3rd TD in only 5 quarters. Ramarcus Brown showed why he is a All American with a 89 yard interception for a TD (17-0). Cody Hawkins would cut the lead to 10 with a 13 yard TD pass. Demiko Goodman had a 52 yard kick return, but he would fumble and Colorado would recover. But they missed out on a chance to score after a missed FG. Mohamed Massaquoi would take a screen pass 63 yards to extend the lead to 17 at half time.
In the 3rd quarter Stafford would throw another screen pass for a TD this time a 5 yarder to Goodman (38-7) Colorado would bounce back with two 4th quarter TD passes to make the score 38 to 20. The game was in the final minutes of the game and true freshman Tim Miles would score on 7 yard option play.
The game was over and the dawgs had a impressive victory beating the buffalos 45 to 20. Coach Richt has to love what he saw from Caleb King rushing for over 100 yards. If he can keep that up and the OL gives Stafford time to throw this offense could be one of the best in the SEC.

Georgia vs South Carolina
Ramarcus Brown picked off sophmore Stephen Garcia on the 1st drive and that gave Georgia the ball at the 28 yard line. A few plays later Brannon Southerland rushed for a 6 yard TD. Caleb King showed his big play ability catching a dump off pass and went 42 yards for a TD (14-3). South Carolina's fake punt wouldn't work and Georgia would take over at mid field. But the questionable call would back fire on the ol ball coach. Caleb King scored a 4 yard rushing TD ,that put Georgia up 18 on the 8th ranked gamecocks. The ball coach wasn't done with trick plays. A flea flicker would lead to a TD pass to heisman trophy candidate OJ Murdock (21-10). Brannon Southerland scored his 2nd rushing TD of the game in the final seconds of the half. The dawgs took a 18 point lead into the locker room (28-10).
Backup HB Knowshon Moreno scored a 1 yard TD and the dawgs was blowing out the undeafted 8th ranked team in the nation (35-13). Bryan Evans interceped the young QB and returned it all the way making the score 42 to 13. Brannon Southerland scored another TD this time through the air and the game was getting ugly(49-13). With a ton of backups in the game South Carolina scored two 4th quarter TD. Georgia played one of the best games ever under Mark Richt beating South Carolina on the road 49 to 27 .

Alabama would get on the board first when John Parker Wilson hit Travis Mccall for a 6 yard TD (6-0 missed xp). Caleb King broke 2 tackles on a 3rd down catch to give Georgia a first down inside the 10. A few plays later Caleb scored on a 4 yard run to give Georgia a 1 point lead in the 2nd quarter. Demiko Goodman returned the punt all the way to the 15 yard line with only 40 seconds left in the half. Stafford would throw his only TD moments later to Brannon Southerland.(21-6) But with 1 second left in the half Wilson hit Mike Mccoy for a 60 yard TD to cut the lead to 12.

Georgia vs Florida
To say this game was huge would be the under statment of the year. If Georgia won it would unofficial clinch the SEC east while keeping the undeafted season alive. Georgia also has 20 of the nations top prospects at the game including the nations top prospect OT Marcus Kellner who just happens to be from the state of Florida. If Florida wins out they would win the SEC east and still have a chance to play for the national title with only 2 undeafted teams left. Georgia's only beat florida two times, yes two times in the last decade. So no pressure for Georgia right ?
Tim Tebow and company took the opening kickoff and marched right down the field resulting in a 27 yard TD catch by Riley Cooper. A quick 3 and out gave the gators the ball at mid field. A few plays later Kestahn Moore broke 3 tackles on his way to a 2 yard TD run (14-0). Matthew Stafford over threw his WR and the gators picked off and returned it all the way to the 8 yard line. In just minutes the gators was up 14 and the ball inside the Georgia 10. Tim Tebow found Percy Harvin for a 8 yard TD. The dawgs was stunned with the game still in the 1st quarter and down by 21 points. Stafford hit Brannon Southerland for a 12 yard TD pass on 3rd down to cut the lead to 14 (7-21). The gators went 3 and out and after the Demiko Goodman return georgia had the ball at midfield. Na Derris Ward runs over a DB on his way to a 31 yard TD (14-21). Another 3 and out and a good return by Goodman gave Georgia the ball at the UF 40 with 1:51 left in the half. Depsite having the ball 2nd and goal at the 2 they came away with 0 points and went into the locker room down 7.
Na Derris Ward would tie the game with a 11 yard TD that was set up by a Ramarcus Brown interception (21-21). Georgia got the ball back and Demiko Goodman would come up with another huge play. He took a screen pass and went 69 yards to put the dawgs up by 1 point (28-27). With under 2 minutes in the game Florida had the ball at midfield and faced 4th and 10 and only needed a FG to take the lead. Tebow would be picked off by Ramarcus Brown and he returned his 2nd interception of the day 62 yards for a TD (35-27). A Roderick Battle sack on 3rd down lead to a turnover on downs for the gators. Backup HB Knowshon Moreno picked up a first down and Georgia ran out the clock to hang on to a 8 point lead.
