Mike Ditka Press Conference at PDX STADIUM
http://www.harrywalker.com/photos/Ditka_Mike.jpg
http://www.maddenteams.com/brewerslogo.jpg

Advisor: Coach Ditka , will now take your questions.

Reporter: Coach Ditka, how does it feel to be coaching again.

Ditka: It feels good, I really think I got a knack for this.

Reporter: so who we looking at for the fantasy draft.

Ditka: what kind of stupid question is that, I don't got a damn clue, maybe I'll know once we're near the draft.

Female Reporter: Coach Ditka who would you take with the Number 1 pick and remember last time you said Brian Urlacher.

Ditka: Alright , let's go with Peyton Manning , how'd would like Peyton Manning to play for Portland.

(cheers in the audience)

Ditka: Calm Down !

(silence)

Reporter: one last question Coach, do you think the AFC West is a weak conference.

Ditka: Sure , I think I can build a team that can beat these sissies , let's see if I beat the Chargers twice and the Chiefs twice and the Raiders twice, oh damn I won the division.

(Coach Ditka walks away from the podium , a crowd of reporters follow him)

Advisor: And that ends today's Press Conference.

Thanks Bloo.

Note: Fantasy Draft season as the Broncos for season 1 , then they move to Portland in the off-season.

Why don't you do this:
Start a Franchise with the Broncos.
Simulate through first season.
move to Portland
Export the team (you can do that in 09)
start another franchise, but load up the exported portland team over the broncos
voila.

That's actually what was suggested to you earlier about this chise, I think you misunderstood.
Your choice, of course.

idk maybe I'll let the Broncos have one last season. I'll think about it.

Melo_Billups

Lonewolf32

ok, here's the gist of things; I will play one season as the Broncs , move em to portland, the Brewers dynasty will begin.

end of discussion. and I might as well give the Broncos a proper goodbye by sending the to SB 43.

5 Things I Think The Broncos should consider for the Fantasy Draft
http://www.johnsonlegacy.org/images/dpo.gif

With the fantasy draft upon us, and our beloved Broncos players either staying or leaving , here are five things I think the Denver Broncos should consider when drafting next week.

1. Draft QB in first or second round

Let's be honest here, Jay Cutler isn't the sharpest tool in the shed ( is that the right saying?) but we need a better QB here in Denver, someone who screams Elway undertones , I say we should go with Manning or Roethlisberger depending our draft position
http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/PHO/AAGV028-05AFCGame~Ben-Roethlisberger-And-Peyton-Manning-Posters.jpg

2. More Offensive Weapons

We have addressed the QB ordeal but we also need a decent runningback and some new receivers , now this may sound crazy but if TO is availible 3rd round, I say take him.
http://cdn.faniq.com/images/blog/Terrell%20Owens%20Popcorn%20Dallas(1).jpg

3. Ditka will bring back old school defense

Mike Ditka, who is now the coach of the Broncos , will bring back a old school defense, so expect hime to draft large strong hard hitting men, examples include Ray Lewis, Lito Sheppard , Brian Urlacher and Terrel Suggs.
http://blogs.eveningsun.com/sportingword/Terrell%20Suggs.jpg

4. Keep Champ Bailey

Now this is a hard request but of all the Bronco players, I think Champ deserves to stay.
http://predominantlyorange.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/champ-bailey.jpg

5. Defensive tackles need a play maker
http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/famecrawler/2007/07/23-End%20of%20Month/Albert-Hayneswroth-Tennessee-Titans-son-Aivery.jpg
The Broncos defense is pretty stellar but maybe having a Defensive tackle/end like Dwight Freeney or Albert Haynesworth would be nice

I guess I got Fantasy Draft fever with the League Wide Fantasy Draft just days away, here are the top ten player I'd love to see play for the Broncos.

1. Peyton Manning , Indianapolis
http://castingoutnines.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/peyton-manning.jpg
Probably the most elite QB in our league besides Brady, we'd love to see this guy be a Bronco but hey cross your fingers Denver.

2. Randy Moss , New England
http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2008/writers/peter_king/03/21/mmqb/p1.randy.moss.si.jpg
A Real Speedster, this guy has good hands and incredible speed.

3. Darren McFadden, Oakland
http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/2008/football/nfl/06/06/raiders.mcfadden/T1_0605_dmac_jed.jpg
Run DMC is one of the best of the rookie class, a run game like his could mean points for our Broncos.

4. Calvin Johnson, Detroit
http://nbcsportsmedia.msnbc.com/j/msnbc/Components/Photos/070809/070809_johnson_vmed_8p.widec.jpg
Might as well save him so trouble and get him out of Detroit, a young receiver like him could flourish in Denver.

5. Chad Pennington, Miami
http://blog.nj.com/jets_impact/2008/08/medium_chad.jpg
He is still a good Qb and if he is available , I say we take him.

6. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis
http://chicago.blockshopper.com/content/img/f199400/reggiedenver.jpg
one of Peyton's best receivers , one or the other would be great for our Offense.

7. Ray Lewis , Baltimore
http://alltalksports.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/ray-lewis.jpg
Still a elite linebacker and one of the NFL's feared defender.

8. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh
http://nicepickcowher.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/roethlisberger_ben.jpg
Sure some of hold a grudge against the guy , but you must admit he has skills.

9. Asante Samuel, Philadelphia
http://insidetheiggles.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/22.jpg
A young ball hawk like him could help our depleting Secondary.

10. Brian Urlacher, Chicago
http://www.xcomment.com/g3/img/Brian_Urlacher_3083107051011.gif
If Brian Urlacher could bring the Chicago style defense to Denver, we could have a heck of a defense.

Broncos Vs Texans Preview.

The Denver Broncos are set to face the Houston Texans as a new team , now led by Drew Brees and Randy Moss and Deangelo Hall must come together to make this work, then again this is the preseason , so it really doesn't matter.
As for the Texans, having LT is a plus add in the magic duo of Aaron Rodger and Greg Jennings and you could be going somewhere.

HOUSTON, TX- The First showing of the new Denver Broncos ends bitterly when back up quarterback Tavaris Jackson throws two interceptions and fumbles twice , (sigh) as for the others Drew Brees had a fantastic game throwing two touchdowns and over 200 yards, the first team offense is by far better and that is all that matters, the defense is doing it part holding LT to 35 yards , shocking yes but that just shows were ready for the regular season , the Broncos take on the also 0-1 Dallas Cowboy in Denver next week.

Stat Tracker
------------
Brees: 221 yards, 2 TD
Jackson: 50 yards, 2 INT , 2 fumbles , 39 rushing yards
Gates: 4 receptions for 51 yards
Moss: 4 receptions for 182 yards , TD
B.Johnson: 1 rec for 13 yards , TD
Stover: 0 for 1.

DENVER, CO- The Broncos lose a heartbreaker 17-14 to the Dallas Cowboy who's field goal with no time remaining gave them the win, the first team of Brees and Moss did well when Moss and Brees converted on 4th and 11 to score and tie the game at 14 before halftime. once again the 2nd stringers cause another Broncos lost but it's preseason, WHO CARES!. The Broncos play Green Bay in their 3rd preseason match up next week.

DENVER , CO- We can finally get the preseason monkey off our back with a 28-23 win over the Green Bay Packers, Drew Brees and Randy Moss once again had great games as well as the defense picking off Kurt Warner twice but sadly the 2nd stringers did nothing an allowed the Packers to score 20 points in the second half, shameful, but it is good to have a Win , the Broncos take on the Cardinals in the final preseason game.

Broncos vs Cardinals Preview

The Broncos didn't want to be 1-2 coming into the final game of the preseason , but they are but it's not because of their top flight offense of Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss, it is because of Second Stringers, the Broncos backup players suck to be quite honest....as for the Cardinals , they have a tough defense led by Jason Taylor, while their offense superb with help from both Dallas Clark and Marion Barber. The Broncos are hoping for a win but if not, they have the regular season to show these new teams who are the NFL Elite.

GLENDALE ,AZ-Not the best way to end the preseason but then again it's pointless and teams only us it as practice time , the Broncos lose 21- 9 thanks once again to you guessed it , the secondary offense and defense , who can't seem to finish a game on a high note , one noteworthy thing to write is that Randy Moss got another Touchdown , giving him atleast one touchdown in every preseason game, surprisingly though it was Culpepper who threw the touchdown to Moss. The Broncos finish the pre-season 1-3 and head to Oakland to play Monday Night Football with the Raiders.

Broncos vs Raiders Preview

The Broncos head to face their bitter rival, the Oakland Raiders and the draft improved the Raiders greatly as Dallas's Son Tony Romo became a Raider , he'll have former Patriot Laurence Maroney handling the rock and Kyle Vanden Bosch will try to stopping Brees, This seems like it will be a close game, should be a good one.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Tirico: Hello and Welcome to Monday Night Football, tonight's game is between bitter AFC West rivals Oakland and Denver, now with more here's Jaws.

Jaws: Thanks Mike, The Broncos and Raider redistribution Draft brought some superstars to Denver in the forms of Drew Brees and Randy Moss, they hope to be the new Manning to Harrison or Brady to Moss, this exact same Moss who hopes to catch touchdowns from Drew Brees. and now with his monologue , Tony Kornheiser.

Kornheiser: Thanks Jaws, the new star player of the Raiders and Broncos have made this rivalry even better, look at the differences in these teams. you have Drew Brees vs Tony Romo at quarterback. Randy Moss against Larry Fitzgerald as receivers , it is the superstars of this game, that will make it great.

Tirico: Ok, I think we're ready for kickoff , so here we go , Broncos vs Raiders , MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!

OAKLAND, CA- It was muddy well thought battle between the Raiders and Broncos , inconsistency was the reason behind the Broncos woes as almost every single pass Drew Brees tried to send Randy Moss's way was either tipped or dropped, the Raiders didn't do any better as they only scored 10 points and the Broncos could of tied the game up late in the 4th if Calvin Johnson would of converted on 4th and 11. As for stats, their isn't much positive things to be said , Moss went this game without a touchdown, the field conditions were rainy and muddy as seen in the picture above , The Raiders win the first of the rivals 2 two match ups, The Broncos play San Diego next week.

The Broncos face a challenge in the form of the San Diego Chargers after a close , tough loss to the Oakland Raiders the Broncos hope to bounce back. Moss and Brees are the driving force behind this team and they hope to get the ball rolling today against the Chargers, as for the Chargers having Vince Young, Reggie Bush and Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson is a nice protection cushion.

DENVER , CO- Wow,What a game, what happened to the Chargers? , the Denver Broncos showed them who were the better team in this match up , Drew Brees just showed why we took him in the second round of the league distribution draft throwing two touchdowns to his two favorite targets Mr. Randy Moss and Mr. Calvin Johnson. he also threw two ill advised interceptions but we still held the Chargers to 3 points. The Defense gave Vince Young fits with Charles Johnson sacking Young twice and Al Harris getting another interception for his seasonal stats , the Broncos host Drew Brees old team the New Orleans Saints next week, The Broncos are 1-1.

Broncos vs Saints Preview

It's that time of the year for Drew Brees, it's time to face his former team, The New Orleans Saints who now call Brady Quinn , the Notre Dame prodigy their quarterback. As for The Broncos , they are feeling good after a 24-3 win over division rivals San Diego, look for this to be a good one since the Saints have the first player picked in the redistribution draft, Bobby Sanders who is probably one of thee best safeties in the NFL, New Orleans also had Fast Willie Parker running the ball, let's pray that the Broncos pull this one off.

(AP)-Jordan and Pippen , Montana and Rice , Manning to Harrison...and now Drew Brees to Randy Moss. Drew Brees and Randy Moss came to Denver looking for a fresh star and they have , these two men are the driving force behind Denver's success in the AFC West right now, we are currently 3-1 and I could not be happier as a Sports Journalist to call these guys my teams Quarterback and Wide Receiver , Brees is consistent but will throw a pick or two occasionally , as for Moss , he is one of the most feared receivers for safeties and corners to defend , He'll burn you if you let him, so why are these two so magical, why do the Bronco fateful love them so much, because they make the plays that make the game , These guys put on a show for the fans and help out your fantasy football team , these guys are Denver Broncos and their here to stay, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Jaws: Thanks Mike, The Broncos are hot, back in my day , you were lucky to win 5 straight games , the Broncos can thank the amazing three headed monster that is Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson and former Patriot Randy Moss. as for the Patriots for them to win this game, they need to exploit the Broncos weak coverage, and now with a monologue on streaking here is Tony Kornheiser.

Kornheiser: The Broncos are streaking and I'm not talking about oh natural , I'm talking about consistency and winning when it matters, this Team makes the plays when they need them, this team can come back and bite you, the Patriots want to pur water all over the three headed monster , will they succeed , we'll find out.

The Broncos hope to get back in form with a win against the 1-6 Miami Dolphins , the Dolphins have former Raider JaMarcus Russel , along with defensive end DeMarcus Ware and Torry Holt have the superstars to win, but the Broncos hope to continue to play strong with the play of Drew Brees , Calvin Johnson and Chad Greenway, I see the Broncos winning this one but who knows , anything can happen.

DENVER, CO- 0:01 , that was the difference in this game ,down 28-24 with barely any time left , the Dolphins pulled off the impossible , thinking the clock was about to expire, Broncos defenders eased up, but sadly a quick zip pass to Bernard Berrian gave the Dolphins a titanic upset and their second win. amazingly the Broncos were down 24-7 at halftime , and were up 28-24 near the end of the game until this titanic heart breaker, Brees threw 3 picks in the loss but Calvin Johnson scored all 3 touchdowns for the Broncos , the Broncos head to Cleveland for NFL Network's Thursday Night Football.

Broncos vs Browns Preview
Well that was embarrassing , to lose to the 1-6 Dolphins but we head to Cleveland to play a decent Browns team led by Jason Campbell along with first round pick Steven Jackson and Richard Seymour on defense , the Broncos hope to bounce back and hope to, since this is being nationally televised on the NFL Network , here's a quick sound bite of them discussing the game right now.

Marshall: For the Broncos to win this one , they must use Calvin Johnson correctly and this defense must be sharp.

Rod: For the Browns to Win this game , they must utilize the run with Jackson and Campbell must be consistent.

Rich: We'll we should have a good one , we'll head you out to Cleveland shortly.

Those Pesky Chargers will not stop, we are in a dead heat for the division ,so this game against the Falcons must be well executed, the Falcons key players are Mark Bulger who is questionable for the game, former Giants running back Brandon Jacobs and wide receiver Reggie Wayne, the Broncos shouldn't have to hard of a time beating the Falcons with Qb Drew Brees still being consistent and Randy Moss catching Touchdowns and what a year for Cornerback Aaron Rouse, experts are calling him defensive player of the year. let hope the Broncos keep the Georgia Dome silent.

Broncos vs Bills Preview
We got a wet one on our way in Denver , forecast calls for Rain for the battle of New QB /New Town of Drew Brees and Chad Pennington. Drew Brees hopes for Calvin Johnson be able to maintain good hands in these conditions , I must note that the Broncos are 0-2 in Rain Games this year and stopping Pennigton along with Willis McGahee should be a challenge , Willis seems to be happy to be a Bill again , and oh yeah let’s hope that ray Lewis doesn’t kill Drew Brees.

DENVER, CO- Well this was a fun game, it was a good game between the Broncos and Bills but it was mostly Broncos , Chad Pennington threw 2 picks to our defense. Overall the field conditions were not that great , muddy and wet , Drew Brees was able to throw two touchdowns and give the Broncos the victory. The Broncos are 10-5 and are going to face San Diego on Sunday Night Football for the AFC West Title.

AFC WEST TITLE GAME
Broncos (10-5) vs Chargers (10-5)
Either way this game ends , both of these teams are making the playoffs , but this is for the bye week and the divisional title , remember when the Broncos beat the Chargers 24-3 in Denver , Coach Ditka hopes to do that again and with Superstar Quarterback Drew Brees, money Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson and Linebacker Jerod Mayo ( who is considered for DROY nominations) he could get his wish. As for the Chargers, Vince Young wants revenge as does Running back Reggie Bush, and wide receiver Chad Johnson said this “ I am glad to be a Charger and I’m going to be glad sipping champagne on my week off after we win this thing !” some bold words coming from a diva of the league, get ready for John and Al , it’s Sunday Night Football , and it’s the AFC WEST TITLE GAME !

SAN DIEGO ,CA- The Champions of the AFC West are the Denver Broncos , this was a heated game throughout it , both defenses played superb , this rivalry is definitely renewed , at halftime tied 3-3 , Coach Mike Ditka talked to his team and used 80’s rock for inspiration.

Coach Ditka: Ok guys, We’re doing good I really think we can win this one
Brees: you really think so Coach
Coach Ditka: I know so
Calvin Johnson: How do you know so
Coach Ditka: Gentleman , please watch this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE11Zrrp24I
Coach Ditka: If Tommy and Gina can do it. We can!
Deangelo Hall: YEAH !
Coach Ditka: Let’s go out there and win cause Woah ! , We’re Halfway there , We’re Living on a Prayer !
Moss: (hums along to Living on a Prayer as he walks out the tunnel for the second half)

In the second half the Broncos used that motivation from Coach Ditka to win the game picking off Vince Young after a touchdown and scoring another gave them a 17-7 lead. Barnes , the fullback ended up being the hero scoring the winning touchdown , the Chargers got a field goal late but it was not enough , the Broncos held on and won the AFC West Title , they have a week to rest up before they start their super bowl run.

The Portland Brewers coming soon to the NFL
DENVER,CO-The Broncos are have one final season before Owner Alec Baldwin and Coach Mike Ditka head to Portland to become to Portland Brewers, I will not be able to cover the Broncos anymore and I will be sad, as for the Brewers, they look great and I wish Portland the best with their new NFL Franchise.

I will miss my Broncos , this was a good season , 11-5 , a disappointing lost tot he Texans but their is always next year. I hope for Drew Brees to leave Denver like John Elway, on his high horse. Goodbye Denver Broncos, hopefully this final season is one to Remember.

Preseason in Review by Jim Bethesda , the Oregonian

PORTLAND, OR- Oregonian Sports Reporter Jim Bethesda here with the pre-season review. this is Portland's first NFL team and were off to a slow start, here is a detailed review of the pre-season.

Game 1 : Portland Brewers vs Jaguars
http://www.maddenteams.com/brewerslogo.jpg vs http://www.steelersfever.com/logos/images/jaguars03.gif
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s281/SystemofFailure/P1010179.jpg
The Brewers win in Jacksonville 38-35.

This Game wasn't really close until the secondary players came in, the Broncos always seem to melt down in the pre-season due to their secondary players but this week they were able to maintain their lead and beat Matt Ryan and the Jacksonville Jaguars, I must say these uniform are looking spiffy and this team could become Portland's favorite team.

Stat Tracker
------------
Brees: 202 yards, 2 TD, INT
Culpepper: 92 yards , TD
MJD: 39 yards
Westbrook: 6 yards , TD
Moss: 6 rec for 167 yards , TD
C. Johnson: 1 rec for 67 yards, TD
Westbrook: 1 rec for 21 yards , TD

Culpepper fumble ends all chances of a comeback, Portland loses 30 -20

The first ever home game at PDX Stadium ends up in a 30-20 loss thanks to Daunte Culpepper's inconsistency in the second half, the Portland Brewers cut Daunte Culpepper after this game, it looks like Drew Brees is the true leader of this team. the signing of Stephen Gostowski seem like a mismatch as he missed 2 field goals in this game, the Portland Brewers host the 49ers next week.

Stat Tracker
------------
Brees: 115 yards, TD
Culpepper: 92 yards, 2 INT , FF
Moss: 2 rec for 115 yards , TD

The Portland Brewers watch the game slip away in OT.
Portland: 21 SF: 24

Coach Ditka cannot be happy that it looks like he could be headed to another 1-3 preseason as the head coach of this team. losing Corner Aaron Rouse does not help either. The Portland Brewers let this one slip away when they were up 21 to 7 at halftime, new backup QB Jon Kitna came in and threw 2 picks which led to the Tie, the 49ers got the ball back and overtime and killed Portland's heart.

Stat Tracker
------------
Brees: 311 yards, 3 TD, INT
Kitna: 110 yards , 2 INT
Moss: 8 rec for 285 yards, 2 TD

Drew Brees walks off the field after Gostowski misses the game tying field goal.
POR: 31 KC:34

For Shame....Another 1-3 preseason for Mike Ditka and the Portland Brewers , Ditka could be playing for his job this year, something has to change for this team cause right now something isn't working out, perhaps the kicker or dare I say the Quarterback, ironically , we head back to Kansas City for the first game of the regular season, nice job to whoever scheduled the preseason games, I guess this was just a practice round.

Stat Tracker
------------
Brees: 220 yards, 2 TD , INT

http://www.maddenteams.com/brewerslogo.jpg10http://www.steelersfever.com/logos/images/colts10.gif35

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- This is goodbye to you my friends....This is basically what Drew Brees was saying to his Brewer teammates after a horrendous game against the Colts, Brees stats are grimacing ( 101 yards, 5 Interceptions). Brees confronted Coach Ditka during halftime, Ditka told him and I quote" Sit your ass down , you pansy" Jon Kitna then went in a threw 2 more interceptions : |. The Brewers get wrecked 35-10 in Indy. that Change the Brewers need is just around the Corner.

BREAKING NEWS

Hello , Scott Van Pelt here with some breaking news , Coach Ditka was right , the Brees Era is over in Portland , The Portland Brewers have traded Drew Brees , 2nd and 3rd round picks to Detroit (Detroit!) from Ben Roethlisberger and 4th and 5th round picks.
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s281/SystemofFailure/P1010007-8.jpg

We now bring in John Clayton with how the deal went down.
http://www.thehookandlateral.com/images/coaches/john_clayton.jpg
(ON PHONE)

Well Scott, the base of the matter is this, Alec Baldwin and Mike Ditka were not happy that Drew Brees has not progressed or gotten the Portland Brewers anywhere near the Superbowl , they believe Big Ben will be a more versatile quarterback and be a great compliment to Moss , as for the Lions , Ben Roethlisberger had not been playing well as for the Picks, the Brewers already have quite enough talent not to worry about the draft and that is why this deal went down.

Van Pelt: Alright thanks for the report John, looks like Big Ben is headed to Portland and will play the Titans this weekend, Sportscenter will begin shortly after this commercial break.

BR: Thanks for having me on PTI.
MW: Great Win against the Titans last week , what is your take on the game.
BR: I did pretty bad, I mean I threw 5 Interceptions but hey a Win is a win.
TK: what do you think of your Teammate Randy Moss?

MW: silly question but any chance the Roethlisburger heads to Portland

BR: Actually (laughs) yeah , they are bringing it to Portland.
TK: So besides having a Burger named after you, how do you feel about Portland
BR: We have the talent to win it all, and I think I'm what this team was missing
MW: Before you go we need your reaction to this Comment from Tony Romo regarding next weeks game " The Brewers got lucky last year, this year we shut them down".
