Reserved in case I wanna add something in the future.
You guys can post now. Just wanted to get those up now in case SG's gone in the morning. I'm thinking I might repost the past game or two for any new followers I might get with the move, but posting the whole season would be a total bitch and it's late as fuck.

Record-breaker!
Brantley breaks a Florida school record in win over USC
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u161/AHFin4L/NCAA%2009%20Gators%20Dynasty/brantleybreakinrecords.jpg
UF QB John Brantley
Gainesville, FL--Nine years ago former Florida Gator Rex Grossman threw for 464 yards vs. LSU. A school record for passing yards in a single game. A school record that is no longer, now that John Brantley has topped Grossman's record of 464 with his own 485 in Florida's 69-27 rout of South Carolina this weekend.
The Gators got off to an ugly start to the game when their offense sputtered out of the first quarter without a touchdown. It looked like the rest of the game might play out the same way when John Brantley got the Gators down inside the USC 10 only to throw it away to SC corner Akeem Auguste who brought it back 99 yards for a 14-3 South Carolina lead. Brantley's response to the tragic play? Four touchdown passes in the second quarter alone. SC saw their 14-3 lead run away from them into a 31-17 Gator lead at halftime.
Chris Rainey had a big day in the return game, taking back the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown, and also returning a punt for a touchdown in the fourth. Brantley threw for two more touchdowns in the thir quarter in addition to his four second quarter touchdowns, and also ran for one in the fourth.
The Gators now head into their BYE week coming off of two blowout wins over SEC opponents, beating Vanderbilt by 66, and now South Carolina by 42. Just don't be expecting a third when the Gators make the trip to Tallahassee in week 14 to take on the 9-2 Florida State Seminoles.

Recruiting update
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u161/AHFin4L/NCAA%2009%20Gators%20Dynasty/chrisholley.jpg
WR Chris Holley
Gainesville, FL--The Gators hauled in four more in-season recruits over the past two weeks in addition to kicker Roderick Jones who committed two weeks ago before the South Carolina game. Two of those four are receivers in Alexis Nelson and Chris Holley, and the other two are guard Jeremy Webb and tight end Kevin Ross.
The feature attraction of this group is the fifth best receiver in the country, Chris Holley. More of an all-around receiver, Holley won't amaze you with his speed, but will blow past corners on occasion to make the big grab deep downfield. He's also capable of making the tough catch, though don't depend on him to make that catch in traffic on third down. If there's one thing you can say about Holley it's that he's smart. He won't be getting in any trouble, and he'll keep his grades up. His hands are above average, though nothign to write home about. Don't expect him to be a big star on campus, but Holley could become a very reliable receiver in his time with Florida.
The other receiver, Alexis Nelson, is ranked #10 among receivers and #76 overall. He's a very similar player to Chris Holley in that he's a smart player who always knows what's going on. His route running is good, though it could use a little bit of improvement. He's made some tougher catches than Holley in his high school career, but also shouldn't be your main target over the middle. His jumping ability makes up for his height at 5'10".
Offensive guard Jeremy Webb comes in as the #13 guard in the nation. He's been a good blocker in high school, and will likely redshirt his first year on campus. He weighs in at 303 lbs and stands at 6'2".
Tight end Kevin Ross could be a real steal for the Gators. The #10 end in the nation wasn't looked at by too many big-name schools, making it easier for Florida to reel him in. At 6'7" and 246 lbs, Ross has the potential to become a huge redzone threat. His blocking skills are mediocre at best. He has some work to do, but his physical build could make him a very deadly weapon in the future.
It wasn't all good news in recruiting this week. They lost another big tight end in Casey Price when he announced his committment to SEC rival Alabama. They also barely lost the #1 halfback in the nation Eric Cole to Ohio State, and could be losing the top quarterback Jason Hardy, as he made a soft verbal commitment to Penn State.

UF HB Emmanuel Moody
Tallahassee, FL--The Florida Gators took down hated in-state rival Florida State this weekend in a very entertaining game for all involved.
The Gators got off to a bad start after giving up two big plays to FSU halfback Brandon Paul on a 34 yard pass and a huge 95 yard run, both of which went for touchdowns. There was a rather large sense of urgency for John Brantley and the Gator offense as they took the field down 14-0. They answered Brandon Paul's big plays with a big play of their own when WR Deonte Thompson took a first down pass and turned it into a 63 yard touchdown pass. Florida scored again after an FSU field goal when Brantley hit TE Aaron Hernandez in the endzone from 7 yards out. Another 7 yard pass, this time to HB Emmanuel Moody, and a field goal saw the Gators up 24-20 at halftime after the ugly start.
It was all defense in the second half. Neither team got into the endzone until under 3:00 in the game. The Gators scored five points off a safety that led to a field goal in the third quarter. This plus a late touchdown run by Emmanuel Moody was enough to give the Gators the win in the 2010 season finale, 36-28 over FSU.
Unfortunately for the Gators, their nine wins won't be enough to give them the chance to reclaim their SEC title. LSU and Tennessee, both responsible for one of Florida's three losses, will duke it out in Atlanta to decide a new champion. The talk of the town now in Gainesville is just what bowl game they'll be playing in. Most experts have them projected to play in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic vs. the 8-4 and third in the Big 12 Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Recap: Both teams came in knowing what was at stake. They weren't just playing for the ACC title, but for the chance to play in the FedEx Orange Bowl. NC State came in with just one more win than Virginia, and yet they were ranked a whole twelve spots ahead of Virginia in the polls. Virginia felt disrespected, and no doubt earned its respect with a big 35-16 victory for the ACC crown and an Orange Bowl berth.

Recap: In a tight game for the chance to be named SEC Champions, the #2 LSU Tigers ousted the #6 Tennessee Volunteers in a game that many feel the Vols should have been able to win. They outplayed the Tigers in almost every facet of the game, but still couldn't get the win. Four turnovers by the Tennessee offense kept LSU in the game until the very end, when they were able to score the game-winning touchdown on a 7 yard pass from Matt Utley to Chris Tolliver. The win also ensured the Tigers a spot in this year's BCS National Championship vs. #1 Ohio State.

Recap: In one of the most entertaining games all year, #10 Texas barely beat out unranked Nebraska for the Big 12 crown. The Huskers came in as huge underdogs, and played like it at the start of the game, going down 14-3 in the first quarter. They took the Longhorns by surprise by scoring two unanswered touchdowns to take a 17-14 lead that could have stuck going into halftime if not for a Texas interception returned for a touchdown. Nebraska wasn't going away though, and two Niles Paul kickoff return touchdowns and a Justin Rogers touchdown run had them tied with the #10 team in the nation at 38, setting up overtime. Nebraska held the Texas offense to a field goal, meaning they only needed to score one more touchdown to win the game, and the Big 12 crown. But dream ended abruptly when Kody Spano threw a pick to Texas OLB Keenan Robinson, giving the Longhorns the win.

Gators take home Thorpe and Moss awards for third straight season
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u161/AHFin4L/NCAA%2009%20Gators%20Dynasty/chrisraineywinsmossaward.jpg
HB Chris Rainey
Gainesville, FL--For the third year in a row, the Florida Gators are able to boast the winners of the Thorpe award and the Randy Moss award. It's a tradition that started in '08 with Joe Haden and Brandon James winning the Thorpe and Moss respectively. James won it again in 09, his senior year. With Haden gone to the NFL Draft after winning his Thorpe, safety Major Wright stepped up and won it himself. And now it's Jerimy Finch's turn with Wright leaving Florida after 2009. Some thought the return game would lack for Florida with the absence of Brandon James. That statement couldn't be farther from the truth, as two Gators finished #1 and #2 in the voting for best returner. Chris Rainey won the trophy, though he has agreed to share it with his partner in crime, blazing Jeff Demps. Those would be the only two awards for Gator players this year, as these guys were just too good:

Freshman Dickerson named to 1st Team All-America

UF DT Scott Dickerson (61), DE Carlos Dunlap (8), and DT Torrey Davis (95)
Gainesville, FL--The 2010 All-America and All-Conference teams were announced this week, and 10 Gators found themselves on at least one of the teams. The most intriguing of them all being freshman defensive tackle Scott Dickerson, who was named to the first team All-American team, Freshman AA team, and first team All-SEC team. Dickerson, the #1 high school recruit in 2009, entered Gainesville hyped up like no other. He has no doubt lived up to the hype already in his freshman year, as he's recorded 49 tackles, and a team-leading 28 tackles for losses and also team-leading 12 sacks, one away from tying the Florida school record for sacks in a single season. And he's a freshman. He's only getting better. That's some pretty scary news for the SEC.
Below is a list of all Gators who received honors this year.
1st Team All-American
* Scott Dickerson - FR, defensive tackle
* Chris Rainey - JR(RS), halfback
2nd Team All-American
* Will Hill - JR, free safety
* Jerimy Finch - JR(RS), strong safety
Freshman All-American
* Scott Dickerson - FR, defensive tackle
1st Team All-SEC
* Janoris Jenkins - JR, cornerback
* Emmanuel Moody - SR, halfback
* Jacques Rickerson - SR(RS), cornerback
* Will Hill - JR, free safety
* James Wilson - JR, left guard
* Scott Dickerson - FR, defensive tackle
* Caleb Sturgis - JR, kicker

Gators accept bid to play in Capital One Bowl vs. #19 Penn State
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u161/AHFin4L/NCAA%2009%20Gators%20Dynasty/capitalonebowl.jpg
Gainesville, FL--It's not the Sugar Bowl that the Gators have become accustomed to after playing in for the past two years, but receiving an invitation to play in the Capital One Bowl is nothing to be ashamed of. The Gators accepted an invitation to play in the Capital One Bowl today, says our source. Their opponent will be 9-3 and #19 Penn State, who finished second in the Big 10 behind 12-0 and #1 Ohio State (who will play LSU in the National Title game). Surprisingly, most analysts are picking the #19 Nittany Lions to handle the #7 Gators easily. This could be the added fuel the Gators need to win this game, if they didn't have enough already. Regardless, it should be one of the most entertaining Bowl games this year, and one you might like to tune into on New Years Day 2011.

Yeah I was pretty confused. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them picked against me, but it was a little shocking that both of them did lol. Whatever, though.

Gators win despite turnovers
With a turnover difference of -2, Gators find a way to win in Capital One Bowl

UF CB Janoris Jenkins forces and recovers a Penn State fumble
Orlando, FL--It's been a problem for the Gators all year: turnovers. Their high risk-high reward offensive system has them atop of the nation in scoring and passing offense, but also close to the top of the most turnovers list. We saw a prime example of that this week in the Capital One Bowl as the Gators pulled out the victory despite giving the ball away to the other guys four times.
It was a bad day for quarterback John Brantley, to say the least. Brantley is to be held accountable for all four turnovers, throwing two interceptions and also fumbling the ball away twice. Luckily for him, he had Florida's beloved senior running back Emmanuel Moody to bail him out. Moody caught two of Brantley's three touchdown passes on the day, and also had five other receptions for a total of seven catches for 144 yards.
Florida's top ranked run D did it's thing holding Penn State to only 16 yards rushing. The defense also sacked quarterback Pat Devlin twice and picked him off once.
And so the Gators' 2010 campaign comes to a close. One that began with hopes of a National Title ends with a victory in the Capital One Bowl. A disappointment? Definitely. But a bad season? Not at all. For the first year of life after Tebow, the Gators did enough to consider this season a success. Even if it didn't live up to expectations.

Gators dealt with heavy blows on players leaving
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u161/AHFin4L/NCAA%2009%20Gators%20Dynasty/tereshinskisucksindebut.jpg
QB Joe Tereshinski
Gainesville, FL--In a surprising turn of events, the Gators found out today that they will be losing promising redshirt freshman quarterback Joe Tereshinski, as he has been granted permission to transfer to Vanderbilt. A puzzling move, as Tereshinski was looking like the best replacement to John Brantley when he graduates after the 2011 season.
The Tereshinski transfer leaves Florida with only two quarterbacks for the 2011 roster for now, with last year's back up to John Brantley, Cam Newton, leaving for graduation. Now barring a BIG time quarterback recruit, redshirt freshman, Christian Scott, is the most likely candidate to start in 2012.
Another surprise was the transfer of sophomore tight end Brad Torres. This is another one that hurts, leaving the Gators with only two tight ends for 2011, and one of them will be a true freshman. Torres didn't impress many people in his short time as a Gator, but was going to be put into a much larger role this year with the departure of former John Mackey award recipient, Aaron Hernandez. Fellow sophomore, Tim Rush, remains, and is going to need to step up big time to keep the tight end position stabilized for the Gators.
Three huge blows were dealt to the secondary with the graduation of cornerback Jacques Rickerson, and the decision of corner Janoris Jenkins and Jim Thorpe Award winner Jerimy Finch to leave early for the Pro Draft. Finch's leave especially hurts, leaving the Gators with only one true strong safety for the time being. That guy is true freshman Billy Crowder, who has been nursing several broken vertebrae since the Arkansas game in week 8. Strong safety has suddenly become a HUGE need in offseason recruiting.
The Gators will account for several losses on offense, losing two centers and starting right tackle Carl Johnson to graduation. Team Captain and unofficial MVP Emmanuel Moody graduates and so does halfback Mon Williams. Randy Moss Award winner Chris Rainey has declared for the Pro Draft along with Florida's leading receiver in yards, Deonte Thompson. Defensive linemen Torrey Davis, Carlos Dunlap, and Lawrence Marsh will all graduate, and so do linebackers Brandon Hicks and AJ Jones.
The losses certainly make things very interesting this offseason, opening new holes to be addressed in recruiting, and requiring younger players to step up sooner than expected. It should be fun to see how it unfolds

Gators haul in twenty
Gainesville, FL--It might not be a class good enough to earn Urban Meyer the title of "Mr. February" for the second year in a row, but the Gators were able to bring in 20 new faces to the team. As we do every year, here is our preview of what you could be seeing in these guys.
We start with the quarterbacks. Two quarterbacks committed, one made the cut. That guy is mobile Early Ross. The other guy who made it was Andre Hinds, who was probably a better overall quarterback, though not as speedy as Ross. Which is what we attribute his being cut to. Ross' best attribute is easily his mobility. He won't blow you away, but he can be very very dangerous when he gets outside the pocket. This could make him a very dangerous player in the future. He has a lot of raw talent, and needs to work a lot if he ever plans on starting.
The fullback isn't a position that is used very often in Florida, though we may see a growing importance in it if the rumored changing of systems is true. Should the Gators begin to use less shotgun formations, the fullback could become a vital part to this offense. And with this being TJ Pridemore's last year, there was a need to bring in a new guy to take his place next year and beyond. That guy is Chris Gause. Gause has the potential to be a good blocking fullback, as well as a decent receiver out of the backfield. He'll spend this year as a back up, but will likely take over as the starter in 2012.
Four new wide receivers enter the fray this year. There's those who we've already met in Chris Holley and Alexis Nelson, and then we have Victor Ginn and Neal Frederick, two guys who stick out from the rest of the group of receivers as possession guys rather than burners. Ginn, younger cousin to Miami Dolphins receiver Ted Ginn Jr., probably won't remind you of his cousin at all. Vick is all about making the tough catches and going over the middle. Same goes for Frederick. These are two guys you probably won't see much at all their freshman year, and may even redshirt.
We knew coming in that tight end was going to be a huge need. Even after recruiting, this is a position that will be much weaker this year than Gator fans may be used to. Tim Rush returns for his third year and will finally get his chance to start now, with the departure of former John Mackey Award winner Aaron Hernandez. We knew that was going to happen all of last year. What we didn't know, was that Brad Torres wouldn't be backing him up. Torres unexpectedly decided to transfer to UL Monroe, giving freshman Kevin Ross some early playing time. Ross is a mountain of a man, standing at 6'7" and 246 lbs, the Gators should look to exploit his size. He'll drop a lot of passes his first year, but also has the potential to make some great catches in the redzone with his size.
Along the offensive line, the Gators bring in three new guys. Center Al Perry was brought in merely to fill out the roster. We won't go into detail about him. The favorite new guy on the o-line is right guard Jeremy Webb, grandson of former Miami Dolphin great left tackle, Richmond Webb. Webb will serve in a back up role for his first year or two, but has the potential to be a very good lineman down the road. 6'4", 279 lb right tackle Patrick Timbers will also serve as a backup for at least his first two years, giving him plenty of time to develop. Due to a lack of depth along the line, it's not likely that anyone will redshirt from this group.
On the other side of the ball, there's three new defensive ends in Gainesville this year. Kelvin Harris, Vernon Palmer, and Russell Brown. Expect at least two of these guys to redshirt, and none of them will see much playing time this year.
Middle linebacker Justin Browning was signed to add depth, and might never be more than a backup. He'll likely redshirt. The Gators were able to steal outside linebacker Brent Matthews away from SEC East division rival Georgia just when it seemed he was ready to head to Athens. Matthews will most likely redshirt this year, but could be a very dangerous player for the Gators down the road. Matthews plays sideline to sideline with his speed, and never gives up on a play. He just has some things to work on before he'll be ready to play.
Ike McDaniel comes in to help out the cornerback group. McDaniel may be the fastest guy on the defense, and has a lot of potential, but will probably redshirt. Chris Reyes will back up sophomore Billy Crowder at strong safety. Ideally, the Gators would've liked to redshirt Reyes. But with the loss of Jerimy Finch to the Pros and the questions surrounding Crowder's durability, Reyes will have to use his freshman year of eligibility.
Wrapping up our report we bring you to the special teams. With this being former Lou Groza Award winner, Caleb Sturgis' last year, a new kicker had to be brought in. One of the best guys available at the position was Roderick Jones. Jones will use his freshman year to prepare for the major kicking role in 2012 after Sturgis' graduation. The Gators also cut ties with former JUCO recruit, punter Josh Jones, to make room for freshman Ronald Winston. Jones never saw the field, as Caleb Sturgis handled both the kicking and punting duties. This was seen as too much strain on his leg, and thus a new punter had to be brought in. Winston isn't much better than Jones, but has much more time to get better than Jones had. Winston will, in all likelihood, handle the punting duties this year.
So there you have it. Twenty new faces around Gainesville. And as always, below is a table which lists all twenty of them.
