I posted all the basic info from SG/MN

I thought very long about not moving this over, but since I've got basically all the work done for the next 3 games. I decided to go for it and atleast finish the year off.

I'll go back later tonight and make this look prettier

I considered not moving mine either. After a while I decided that I'd get pretty bored without it, and moved it on over. Glad to see yours here too.

Closer then you Think
Dan Ziegler got off to bad start missing a wide open WR and it was intercepted and returned for a TD (0-7). Just a few seconds later Dustin Walker changed the momentium with a 100 yard KR for TD (7-7). Later in the quarter TE Jerome Mangerio jumped up over a defense for a 8 yard TD (14-7). Another mistake cost UGA and this time it was a fumble by Dustin Walker on the kickoff. It was returned for a TD with 3:39 left (14-14).

Midway through the 3rd quarter Luther Beckford showed off his pass catching skills with a 14 yard TD (24-17). Vandy got the ball inside the redzone and it looked like the UGA defense was going to hold them to a FG. But the 35 yarder hit the upright and UGA held on to a 7 point lead. With 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter the lead was extended to 14 when Beckford scored on a 5 yard toss play. Two late TD’s scored by UGA would make the game look like a blowout when it was auctally a close game.

Versatility Key to Offense

The UGA offense is leading the nation in scoring and a big reason for that is versatility and depth. Very few teams have the talent to go from a I-formation 2 TE set one play. To a shotgun 5 WR set on the next play. It’s not just that the playbook features the plays it’s that UGA has the talent to beat you both ways.

Everyone knows about Dan Ziegler’s ability to beat you with his legs and his feet. He has 1,500 yards passing with 20 TD’s and 8 interceptions. He also has 375 rushing yards with 10 TD’s. Backup QB Stan Moss has a 99 overall rating and is a impact player.

The 3 HB we all know are different with Luther Beckford getting a majority of the carries. He has over 700 rushing yards and 8 TD. He also chiped in with 150 receiving yards and 2 scores. Bowling Ball Jackson has 250 yards on the year and has become a short yardage specialst getting the majority of this carries on 3rd and short. Dustin Walker is the guy who needs to get more carries rushing for under 100 yards on the year. Many people expected him to have a bigger impact this year with more 4 WR sets. But most of the running has came under I-formation so his carries have been limited. You can see his big play ability on KR’s though. As we said before the year the 3 HB’s make perfect trio for every situtaion espically when you add in Zieglers ability to run at QB.

The WR are one again spread David Hart leads in yards, Nick Mitchell in catches and Hart and Jerome Mangerio are tied for the lead in TD. Hart and Mitchell make a perfect pair as starting WR with Hart being he game breaking with 96 speed. While Mitchell at 6’7 is a good possession target. Tommy Bradford and Chris Guidy have been solid when the field is spread. Stacey Bush has been steady at TE using his 6’6 250 pound frame to catch 21 passes for 228 yards and 2 TD. His backup Jerome Mangerio as we said earlier has 10 catches 4 of which have went for TD. Even the 3rd string TE Bill Jenkins has caught 2 TD’s

Another Classic?
UF got the game off to a bang returning the opening kickoff to the UGA 13. But the defense would hold the gators to a FG (0-3). UGA would answer when the true freshman #5 WR Doug Sims scored on a 6 yard slant (7-3). With only 29 seconds left until half time Bowling Ball made the most of his only carry of the game. Scoring from 3 yards out to finish off a 17 play TD drive (14-3).

The opening drive of the 3rd quarter got started with a big play by David Hart. With 9 guys in the box he caught a 66 yard TD (21-3). With 2:49 left in the 3rd quarter UF scored on a QB sneak to cut the lead to 11 (21-10). But UGA would answer with a short TD run by Luther Beckford (28-10). The next drive Seth Garrison intercepted a pass setting up good field position. Later in the drive Beckford would score again this time off a option pitch from 7 yards away. UGA once again dominated on the ground rushing for 249 yards UF came in ranked #25

Running For Daylight

This was the biggest recruiting day of the year and Auburn game in with only a .500 record. Ziegler dumped it off to Luther Beckford who showed off his speed going 56 yards for a TD (7-2). Auburn then ran a reverse and thanks to early safety took a 2 point lead (7-9). A rare carry for FB David Cole resulted in a FB. A interception for Fletcher would bail them out. Nick Mitchell ran a curl route on 2nd and goal and got layed out by the DB. He would hang on to the ball for the TD (14-9). With 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter Mitchell made another big play. This time it was a block that sprung Beckford for a 25 yard TD (24-9). After a 3 and out UGA got the ball back and with 1:23 left Hart showed off his speed. He took the screen and went 19 yards to the house (31-9). On the TD pass Ziegler broke the single season TD pass record.

With the game out of hand 3rd string HB Dustin Walker got extended playing time and didn’t disappoint. He caught a 39 yard pass in the open field and went the distance (38-9). Auburn would go on to score two 4th quarter TD’s against the 2nd string to make the game look closer then it really was.

Ziegler Struggles
Ole Miss came into the game unranked despite a 7-1 record in the SEC. Sandwiched in between a Ole Miss FG was a pair of short TD runs by Luther Beckford (14-3). With 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter Dustin Walker scored from 41 yards out finding a hole and showing off his 98 peed (21-3).

In the 3rd quarter UGA went for it on 4th and short at the Ole Miss 42 and it was TD by Walker off a option pitch (28-3). Later on in the 3rd Luther Beckford went 93 yards and the UGA rushing attack was once again clicking on all cyclinders (35-3). UGA would go on to score 2 more TD’s on the day on the way to a 49-17 victory. The first a TD where Ziegler found Stacey Bush wide open for a 25 yard completion. The 2nd was Bowling Ball who got into the endzone with a short run.

Dan Zieglers heisman run may have took a hit he lost 3 fumbles and only threw the ball 11 times. It was the power running game like we said earlier that the rebels couldn’t stop. UGA had 308 rushing yards with 6 TD with only 26 of that coming from Ziegler. Beckford had 118 yards and 3 TD on only 10 carries. While Dustin Walker averaged a staggering 15 yards a carry. Bowling ball chiped in with 67 yards.

New Skill Players Coming
After adding a 5* QB earlier in the year UGA added to that today with 4 more commits. With 3 of those 4 guys being 5 star and the other filling a need.

The headliner is the #1 overall player in the country in OT Brett Brooks. He has solid size at 6'3 300 pounds and is well balanced tackle from California. He was considering Michigan and Ohio State. If Ian Robinson comes back for his senior season then Brett will be redshirted. If Ian does go pro then Brett will play and battle with two current backups that will be seniors for playing time.

WR wasn't a need for UGA signing 4 last year. But they couldn't pass up going after 5* recruit Xavier Cooper. David Hart and Tommy Bradford will be gone this year and Nick Mitchell and Chris Guidy the following year. So look for Hart to redshirt his first year and compete for playing time as a redshirt freshmam. Xavier is the 4th overall prospect in the country and #1 WR. He has drew comparison to current starting WR David Hart. He is a little undersized at 5'11 170 pounds with great speed (a-). He isn't just a speed guy he has good hands among many other good traits. He also has a cool name.

Pat Bell filled a need as UGA will be losing both starting OLB in Travis Brown and Larry Moss. He is the 4* recruit and 47th overall prospect. He was also thinking about FSU and USC. The hometown product was the #5 OLB in the country. He is B- speed and B- tackle and could make 2nd string as a true freshman.

If you have followed this dynasty closely you know UGA has become the new TB-U. From Knowshon Moreno to Caleb King to Richard Samuel to Luther Beckford to Dustin Walker to Bowling Ball Jackson. Now the new guy battling with last years 5* HB signed will be Eric Reed. He is much in the mold of current star Luther Beckford. Meaning great speed with above average breaking tackle ability and similar size at 6'0 195. Eric is a 5* recruit and #37 overall who almost went to Notre Dame and Wisconsin.

Ziegler is a triple threat quarterback. Awesome game against FL.

No he's not. Triple-threat constitutes he's good at three things.

He's a dual threat; he throws and he runs. Darren McFadden and Michael Bush are triple threats (they run, catch, and throw). Anquan Boldin was a triple-threat in high school (throwing, running, and catching).

A guy who plays runningback, linebacker, and kicks extra points is a triple-threat. A guy (like Allen Iverson in high school) who plays QB, returns kicks, and plays safety is a triple threat.

Ziegler is like Tim Tebow or Pat White. Ziegler is a dual-threat. There probably hasn't been an NCAA D-1A triple-threat player since the fifties or sixties. I know Ernie Davis played runningback, safety, and returned kicks.

Sorry to get on your ass about this, but this kind of thing bothers me. (Obviously. lol)

Who needs to pass the ball
This was expected to be a game where UGA could pad there stats espically Dan Ziegler. He has droped to 3rd in the latest heisman and after this game faced rival Georgia Tech. Then UGA had two bye weeks before the SEC championship game. So he needed a big game to pad his stats since he will drop with the two off weeks.

Ziegler got it started with a 14 yard TD (7-0). Rice would come back when Lowe found Michals for a 11 yard TD catch in the 2nd quarter (7-7). UGA answered Luther Beckford continued his recent tear going 66 yards on the TD catch (14-7). Rice faced a 2nd and goal and the TE droped a wide open TD forcing a 3rd and goal. Rice would tie the game up with another TD pass by Lowe (14-14). With under a minute left till half time Beckford scored breaking tackled on his way into the endzone (21-14). So what was suppose to be a blow against a 3-6 Rice team was only 7 point game. Beckford had a good half with 105 total yards and 2 TD.

To start the 3rd quarter Ziegler showed he wasn’t all about stats pitching the ball on the option to Beckford instead of taking the 3 yard TD himself (28-14). With the backup WB in Rice would once again come back with a TD (28-21). Facing a 3rd and goal at the 1 Bowling Ball scored to give the dawgs a comfortable lead once again (35-21). Late in the game Bowling Ball showed he isn’t just a 255 pound power back. Taking a handoff breaking to the outside for a 30 yard TD.

This was another game where the game was close then the final score looked Ziegler once only threw the ball 13 times as the running game dominated one agian with over 250 yards

Still Perfect
The GT defense steped up holding UGA to 2 first quarter FG’s(6-0). So despite dominated the first quarter and half one big play swing the game toward GT favor. That big play was a 68 yard TD run by Marse (6-7). Ziegler got off to a big of a slow start and hoped to turn things around in the 2 minute offense. It worked as Ziegler rolled left and threw back right to a wide open Doug Sims. So UGA took the lead back with 22 seconds until half time (13-7).

As always UGA got the ball for the first time in the 3rd quarter and put points on the board. The points came by Luther Beckford on a 18 yard run (20-7). Beckford only got a handful of carries on the night giving way to Dustin Walker. He scored on a 26 yard TD pass (27-6). UGA would add points later in the game with a FR returned for a TD by senior FS James Holbert

SEC Champ Game
The opening drive Alabama showed they would not back down scoring on a 1 yard run (0-7). Alabama would get the ball back after and would miss on a 4th and 2 pass at midfield. At the end of the 1st quarter the game would be tied up with a David Hart 29 yard TD catch (7-7). UGA would take the lead a few minutets later when #5 WR Doug Sims caught a 7 yard TD (14-7). HB Clark showed he wasn’t more then just a HB tieing the game at 14 with a 39 yard TD catch (14-14). With 6 seconds left until half time UGA took a 3 point leading kicking a short FG (17-14).

Doug Sims had back to back catches in the 2nd of them went for a TD (24-14). The next play Alabama bounced back with a 59 yard TD run. The score with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter was 24 to 21. That wasn’t it as the next play also went for a TD. But it was Alabama who scored off a fumble by Dan Ziegler. After the 10 yard return UGA was now losing (24-28). With 1:33 left Ziegler scored on a 1 yard sneak (31-28).

UGA forced a 3 and out, but Ziegler threw a interception and it was returned to the bama 40. The pass was forced by Ziegler and should have not be thrown. Bama had a 3rd and goal at the 1 and they decided to pass and it was incomplete. They would settle for a FG tieing the game at 31 with 5 minutes left. A huge sack for the bama defense lost 15 yards making it 2nd and 26. UGA put speed back Dustin Walker in the game and he took the screen pass all the way to the house 67 yards (38-31).

With 1:00 left in the game Jacobs found All-SEC WR Pauley for a short TD pass and the game was once again tied. So what would UGA do with only a minute left play it safe or go for the game winning FG. On the first the unthinkable happen a blown assignment by Alabama left Nick Mithcell wide open. The play resulted in a SEC championship and national title birth clinching 70 yard TD catch.

Was Zieglers performance enough to win him the heisman?

National Champ Game
The first drive of the game ended with a short TD run by Luther Beckford (7-0). BSU went 3 and out and Beckford scored from 14 yards away and just like that it was 14 to 0. A reply of the last drive happened, BSU once again went 3 and out and Beckford scored another rushing TD. That was his 20th rushing TD of the year. With 2 minutes left in the half and Beckford getting a breather Bowling Ball scored a rushing TD set up by a UGA interception (28-0). UGA would add more points on the board with under a minute left before half time when Bowling Ball scored another TD (35-0).

With 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter Bowling Ball scored his 3rd rushing TD of the game and wholesale changes would be made for UGA. It was a ataggering 42 to 0. Boise State proved a lot of doubters right as they didn’t belong on the same field as UGA. They didn’t play anyone in the regular season and it showed today. UGA went on to pound the ball exposing one of the best run defense in the country. UGA had 427 rushing yards and 7 TD. Listen to this UGA only passed the ball 7 times all game.

Great job. One problem, BSU's logo isn't there.
