Calling all wrestling fans of Pastapadre…

Here’s your chance to live out the storyline of your favorite wrestler(s) (from the recent past or present or created) in our very own E-federation called the XWA: X-clusive Wrestling Alliance

Now what is an E-fed you ask? For those that aren’t familiar with the term, e-feds are fantasy wrestling leagues where every user assumes the role of 1 or 2 wrestlers (real or fictional). Week by week, the user plays the roles of these wrestlers by writing promos and interviews (that would posted in an official thread devoted to such material). The commissioner of the e-fed (me) would then set a “card” (match schedule for the weekly show) and determine winners of the matches based on the quality of the promos. The winners of the matches (and championships) would be announced through written results of the weekly show and pay per views right here on VSN!

Trust me when I tell you that this can be a very fun alternative to actual video gaming. To actually kick this thing off and running, it will require a bit of work and organization followed by active participation from several members. In the past, I’ve seen several users go back and forth with their feud at least 15 times (posts) during the week to try and win their match. *Useful Spoiler*: more participation with promos/interviews usually gets you into the higher profile matches if your content is good enough. If you don’t post for your scheduled match, you will lose, so it’s important to stay active. Do your promos in your own style and most importantly: HAVE FUN with it!

This discussion thread is a chance to post your interest and ideas. Once we have enough people involved, we can vote upon a weekly show name, PPVs, titles… and all that fun stuff.

As a participant, you can have a max of 2 wrestlers (real or ficitional). Changing your wrestler every week is NOT allowed, so pick someone you like and will stick with. If you decide to use a real wrestler, they are on a first-come, first-serve basis (no duplicates allowed). I’ll keep a roster and champions page updated as often as possible in the official thread. To join, please submit a wrestler application with the following information:

Note: If submitting a created wrestler, the more information you include the better it will help me write your matches, etc.

Note #2: Tag teams essentially count as 1 wrestler, so you can use a tag team as 1 of your slots and an individual wrestler as the other.

Brief Biography: X-clusive is an outspoken, “I don’t take no shit!” character; qualities that suit him well for his role as XWA General Manager. He previously held the same title for 2 years in a different promotion called the RWF. Growing up he was lured into professional wrestling by the likes of the Bret Hart and the “Macho Man” Randy Savage. As a teen, he attended the OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) academy to try and “make it” in the wrestling business. While he was considered many different times for the WWE, he never “got the call” to step in a WWE ring. Was it false hope? Maybe… maybe not. Many of the OVW instructors noted that the man known as “X” can fly around the ring with the best of them; and that his mix of talent and charisma would have drawn significant ratings for the industry leader. Regardless of their opinions, this led “X” to the MMA circuit to display his talents as a mixed martial artist. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to a serious knee injury that forced his retirement from the octagon. Despite only being able to walk gingerly, you can tell his itch to compete still lures.
