Season Preview
The 2008 season will be Arizona's 89th season for the team in the NFL and their 21st in Arizona. After finishing with a .500 record (8-8) last year, the Cardinals have high expectations for the upcoming season.
Offensive Preview
Kurt Warner leads the high-powered Cardinal offense for another year and will look to lead his team to the playoffs after last years improvement. Veteran Running Back Edgerrin James has been critized in the offseason because of his age, so it will be interesting to see how the Cardinals use him. They drafted Tim Hightower this year to eventually replace Edgerrin and from what we've seen, he is the real deal. Pro Bowl Wide Recievers Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin will again be the highlights of the Cardinals offense. However, under Fitzgerald and Boldin the rest of the Cardinals receivers will be battling for a roster spot in the preseason. The Cardinals didn't address the Tight End position in the draft, so it will be interesting to see what happens there. One of the many factors Arizona played well last year was because of the Offensive Line. With a year under their belts together this group should continue to dominate in run blocking and pass protection.

Defensive Preview
The Cardinals boost one of the best Safety combinations, after moving Antrel Rolle to Free Safety to partner Adrian Wilson who plays Strong Safety. Arizona drafted three Defensive Ends and will look to create a dominate pass rush. In addition, Rookie Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will be a key addition to the Cards defense as he possesses great speed and unbelievable skills. Arizona acquired Travis LaBoy (Titans) and Clark Haggans (Steelers) to further improve their pass rush and overall tackling on defense.

Safety Adrian Wilson will lead the Arizona defense in 2008
Special Teams
Kicker Neil Rackers will be looking to continue his form from last year (23/26 field goals made) and he will see quite a number of occasions to contribute if the Cardinals offense fires. Arizona stated that they aren't happy with Dirk Johnson's punting ability and may look for another option throughout the season. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will help Arizona's return game with his lightning speed, which struggled last year.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie should be a welcome addition to the Arizona Cardinals

Draft class
1st Round- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB. 6'2'', 182. Tennessee State
The Cardinals traded up in the draft to take Cromartie and help offset the move of Antrel Rolle to safety. He ran a 4.33 in the 40 yard dash, his speed and quickness will help him in the pros.
http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/images/photos/2008/04/26/qmbuadzj.jpg
2nd Round- Calais Campbell DE. 6'8'', 282. Miami
A year ago Campbell would've been drafted a lot higher but struggled in 2007 with weight and consistency. Time will tell if this was a smart move by the Cardinals.
http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2007/0412/ncf_g_campbell_195.jpg
3rd Round- Early Doucet WR. 6'0'' 212. LSU
With Fitzgerald and Boldin starting in Arizona, questions linger about the third receiving spot. However, Doucet will have the opportunity to compete in training camp for the slot position.
http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2007/0905/nfl_u_doucet_195.jpg
4th Round- Kenny Iwebema DE. 6'4'', 274. Iowa
Iweberma was solid at Iowa but scouts are questioning his motor, as he tends to give up on plays.
http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/44/441515.jpg
5th Round- Tim Hightower RB. 6'0'', 226. Richmond
Scouts have tipped Tim to be the next Marion Barber and the man to take over from veteran Edgerrin James. He is 225 pounds and can play fullback.
http://www.ferrum.edu/athletics/vasid/Images/Richmond-Hightower-07.jpg
6th Round- Chris Harrington DE. 6'5'', 264. Texas A&M
The Cardinals drafted their third Defensive End of the draft, with the pick of Chris Harrington. At this point in his career, Chris is no more than a situational player.
http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/football/2008/draft/players/images/162x262/chris-harrington.jpg
7th Round- Brandon Keith 6'5'', 343. Northern Iowa
Brandon showed decent speed and quickness at the combine and will have the pleasure of learning from well renowned Offensive line Coach Russ Grimm.

Boldin Unhappy with Cardinals
25th July, Northern Arizona
An afternoon storm, this one man-made, blew through the Northern Arizona campus Thursday just minutes after the team finished its conditioning test. Receiver Anquan Boldin didn’t hide his unhappiness over his contract, telling reporters team officials deceived him by not following through on a promise to give him a new contract by the start of the season. Boldin said he has instructed his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, to break off negotiations with the team.
“At this point, I’m not even interested in a contract,” said Boldin. “For me, it’s been going on two years, and especially after last year, I was promised a deal would get done before the season. But the season’s here and obviously that hasn’t happened.
Boldin has three years left on a contract extension he signed before the 2005 season. That deal paid him an average of $4 million, far below what elite receivers are making now.
The Cardinals have expressed interest in re-signing him and say they made Rosenhaus an offer last December but that he never responded. So team officials said they moved on and re-signed receiver Larry Fitzgerald to a four-year, $40 million deal this spring. Boldin, however, doesn’t think the team has ever been serious about delivering on a promise.
“It’s not semantics,” he said.
“It’s, ‘Anquan, we’re going to get you done before the start of next season.’ That’s exactly out of their mouths.”
When asked how he would respond to possible criticism from fans, Boldin said he would tell them he wants a new contract
“because I’ve earned it. I think my numbers speak for themselves, and they (the Cardinals) even came out publicly and said that I outplayed my contract. I mean, I don’t have to make a case to anybody about why I’m deserving of a new contract. That’s self-explanatory.”
http://www.azcentral.com/i/sized/6/2/D/e298/j350/PHP480E46C62D236.jpgIt has nothing to do with Fitzgerald’s deal, either, he said. “Larry earned everything that he got. Honestly, he played his butt off. He deserved it.”
The contract dispute won’t affect his play, Boldin vowed, saying “the way that I play this game won’t change.”
The damage with the team, however, cannot be repaired, said Boldin.
“I’m really disappointed it came to this point. For the last five, going on six years, I gave everything I had to this organization. In that sense, I’m disappointed.”

Week One Game Preview- Sunday 7th September 4:15pm
0-0http://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/cardinals_logo.jpg@http://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/49ers_logo.jpg0-0
Injuries
Cardinals- Al Johnson (season), J.J. Arrington (4 weeks), Monty Beisel (3 weeks), Oliver Celestin (1 week)
49ers- None
Notes
Cardinals: The key for Arizona in this game is to play to the weakness of the 49ers defense, pass coverage. Look for new starter Matt Leinart to try and expose San Franisco defense early with the passing game. The Cardinals struggled in pass coverage last year and went after Cornerback Dominique Rodgers Cromartie in the draft to fix this problem, time will tell if this was a good decision.
49ers: The 49ers had Quarterback issues all offseason but have eventually settled for Shaun Hill in week one. San Fran will be looking for a big game from star running back Frank Gore against a modest run defense. Patrick Willis highlights the 49ers defense and after winning defensive rookie of the year last season, there are high expectations of him. The Cardinals love to pass the ball and get their star receivers involved early in the game so the 49ers defensive backs have to be on their game.
Prediction
Cardinals 30-28

Frank Gore finished with 142 rushing yards and one touchdown
SAN FRANCISCO- The Cardinals won the toss and elected to receive the ball first. Matt Leinart led a nice drive that was capped off by a 36 yard field goal to Neil Rackers. Arizona 3-0. Shaun Hill responded by connecting with former Cardinal Bryant Johnson for an 18 yard touchdown. 49ers 7-3. The 49ers dominated defensively with 2 interceptions in the 2nd quarter but could only manage two field goals. 49ers 13-3
The 49ers started with the ball and were led by Frank Gore with 43 rush yards on the drive and capper the drive with a 1 yard touchdown run.49ers 20-3. After a disappointing 1st half by Matt Leinart, Arizona decided to send Kurt Warner into the action. The Cardinals went for it on 4th and 10 and failed. As a result, the 49ers settled for a Joe Nedney Field Goal (19 yards). 49ers 23-3. Needing some big plays, Arizona dumped the run and passed their way down field, eventually scoring on a Warner 1 yard touchdown run. 49ers 23-10
Arizona's defense made a crucial stop with 1:07 left on the clock. The Cardinals started on their own 31 and Warner completed a few passes to give the Cardinals some hope. However, Dashon Goldston intercepted a Kurt Warner pass intended for Steve Breaston in the endzone to end the game.

Kurt Warner named starter for Week 2
Associated Press
ARIZONA- After losing to the 49ers in Week 1 the Cardinals have opted to start their veteran Quarterback over Matt Leinart. Leinart had a tough time completing passes against the 49ers and threw 2 interceptions. Ken Whisenhunt told reporters that he made a mistake, "I thought Matt was ready to lead this team but after this Weeks game, i'm not so sure."
Kurt Warner told the press that he is excited to be the starter again, "I'm ready to lead this team to the playoffs."
After drafting Matt with the 10th round pick in the 2006 draft, he has yet to live up to the high expectations of fans and the Arizona organisation

Dolphins- None
Notes
Cardinals: Arizona is coming off a disappointing loss to San Francisco and it won't get any easier against a revitalised Miami team. Kurt Warner replaces Matt Leinart as the starter, mainly because of last week's loss. The Cardinals run defense struggled to contain Frank Gore last week and Ronnie Brown and co will be looking to exploit it. In addition, Arizona's defense will be keen to create some turnovers because they had none last week.
Dolphins: After recording just one win last year the rebuilding stage is underway in Miami. However, the Fins absolutely smashed the Jets last week. New signings Chad Pennington and Terry Glenn showed some nice chemistry after just a few practices together. If these two continue their form they will have a great chance against the Cardinals. Joey Porter leads a Miami defense
that only gave up 10 points last week and will look to put the pressure on Veteran Quarterback Kurt Warner. This weeks game marks the first of two trips to the East Coast for the Dolphins this year.
Prediction
Cardinals 20-17

Ernest Wilford had a career day with 5 catches, 168 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns
ARIZONA- The Cardinals started with the ball for the second straight week and took it down field effectively until Edgerrin James scored on a 5 yard touchdown run. Arizona 7-0. On the very first play of the Dolphins drive, Gerald Hayes came up big with an interception and Kurt Warner found Larry Fitzgerald from 24 yards out. Arizona 14-0. Chad Pennington connected with Ernest Wilford for a 41 yard reception, however the Cardinals defense stopped Pennington and forced a punt.
Michael Lehan intercepted Warner in the redzone to end a solid drive. Pennington responded by hitting Wilford for a 62 yard touchdown pass. Arizona 14-7. The Dolphins defense came up big again with an interception to Greg Spires, resulting in a 30 yard Field Goal to Jay Feely. Arizona 14-10. Once again Warner was picked off in the redzone, this time by Reggie Torbor. As a result, Pennington connected with Wilford (his second TD) for a 23 yard score. Miami 17-14. This was a really horrible quarter for the Cardinals and it only got worse after Quientin Moses sacked Warner who fumbled into Greg Spire's waiting arms. Ronnie Brown scored on a 4yd touchdown run after the good field position. Miami 24-14
The Dolphins started the third quarter nicely but could only manage to just get into field goal range. Jay Feely attempted a 55 yard Field Goal but it was no good. The Cardinals started with good field position and had a new quarterback starting, Matt Leinart. Matt led his team downfield and scored on a 4th and 1 on the 1 yard line. Miami 24-21.
On the Cardinals next drive Matt Leinart was intercepted by Andre Goodman in the redzone. The Dolphins ran down the clock to 54 seconds and punted. However, the Cardinals went down field and settled for a 45 yard Field Goal with 14 seconds left. 24-24. Pennington decided to go for the win and he found Ronnie Brown down the seam for a 45 yard touchdown pass with no time left on the clock. Miami wins 31-24

Redskins- None
Notes
Cardinals: Things are heating up in the Arizona locker room, their 0-2 and have problems on the field both offensely and defensely. Lets start with the defense, they are ranked in the low twenties in every category and are struggling to create turnovers. The run defense will need to play well if they hope to stop Clinton Portis. On offense the Cardinals need to get the run going early as they are ranked dead last in the NFL after 2 games. As a team, Arizona is ranked 31st in the league in turnover differential (-6).
Redskins: The Redskins have hit form early in the season with wins over the Giants and Saints. Their defense is playing at high level and are ranked in the top 5 in every category. Washington will look to create turnovers because the Cardinals are one of the worst in the league. If Clinton Portis has a big day, the Redskins will move to 3-0. Todd Collins has looked very solid after beating out Jason Campbell in preseason.
Prediction
Redskins 17-10

Kurt Warner in action against the Redskins. He completed 17 of 20 passes for 2 touchdowns
WASHINGTON- The game started off very slowly as both teams tried to figure each other out. The first quarter was scoreless and included three punts all together.
The Redskins eventually got some offense going but could only settle for a 32 yard field goal by Shaun Suisham. Washington 3-0. Just like on their last drive the Redskins continued to move the ball well down field and Todd Collins found Devin Thomas up the middle for a 50 yard touchdown. Washington 10-0. Down by 10 the Cardinals looked sluggish and unmotivated, if the game continues like this Ken Whisenhunt could see himself in the hot seat throughout the week.
Collins started the third quarter hot but tried to force a throw into double coverage and was picked off by Gerald Hayes (third of the year). Starting inside Washington territory sparked the Cardinals offense and Kurt Warner hit Larry Fitzgerald for a 13 yard touchdown pass. Washington 10-7.
The Cardinals continued their hot streak as Kurt Warner tore up the Redskins defense with short passes. He capped the drive with a 6 yard touchdown pass to Edgerrin James. Arizona 14-10. The Redskins responded with a Collins touchdown pass to Chris Cooley from 47 yards out. Washington 17-14. Warner led his team downfield with short passes and with 9 ticks left on the clock Tim Hightower scored his first NFL touchdown on a 4 yard go-ahead touchdown run. Arizona 21-17. With only enough time left for one play, Todd Collins found Antwan Randel El for a 29 yard reception, however time expired as he was tackled well short of the endzone.

Tim Hightower to start against the Jets
Associated Press
ARIZONA- Big news out of Arizona is that Edgerrin James has been benched in favour of rookie Tim Hightower. So far in three games this season James has recorded 47 carries for 113 yards at an average of just 2.4. James was criticized in the preseason for looking too slow and sluggish, which is evident in his performance so far. On the other hand, Hightower scored the winning touchdown last week and it was also his first in the NFL.
Ken Whisenhunt has high hopes for his young running back, "Look hes a great all round back, he can block and catch as well as anyone in the league. As for Edgerrin we just feel he isn't hitting the hole with as much force as he used too, hes a veteran on this team so we hope he can bounce back."

Injuries
Cardinals- Al Johnson (season), J.J. Arrington (1 week), Monty Beisel (Doubtful)
Jets- Thomas Jones (9 weeks)
Notes
Cardinals: Another week, another starter benched, this time Edgerrin James for rookie Tim Hightower. After beating the Redskins last week, the coaching staff have decided to stay on the east coast and not travel back to Arizona. The Cardinals are ranked 6th in the league with 627 passing yards and against a Jets pass defense that has allowed 604 passing yards so far, this is where the Cardinals will attack the Jets.
Jets: The Jets will be coming off a great Monday night win over the Chargers, their first of the season. However, a 6 day turnaround could hurt the Jets in the 2nd half of this weeks game. So far the Jets offense has played well without Thomas Jones and Leon Washington has been on fire, he should continue his form against a modest run defense. The Jets spent a lot of money in the offseason improving the Offensive line and so far they have been excellent.
Prediction
Jets 20-17 OT

Brett Favre throws for his first touchdown in a win over Arizona
NEW YORK- The Jets drove the ball down to Arizona's 37 yard line but the 54 yard Field Goal attempt was no good. Kurt Warner threw a pick to Vernon Gholston which set up a 36 yard Field Goal to Mike Nugent. Jets 3-0.
Arizona punted and Brett Favre came onto to the field and found Laveranues Coles for a 78 yard bomb from the first play of the drive. Jets 10-0. Warner responded by leading a drive downfield that he ended with a 1 yard touchdown run. Jets 10-7. The Jets continued attacking the Cards through the air as Favre found Brad Smith for a 44 yard score. Jets 17-7. Kerry Rhodes intercepted a pass intended for Larry Fitzgerald and the Jets added a 22 yard Field Goal. Jets 20-7.
On the first play of the 2nd half, Coles caught a pass but fumbled after a big by Antrell Rolle and he recovered it. As a result, Tim Hightower scored on a 1yd touchdown run in a drive that included two fourth down conversions. Jets 20-14. The Jets countered by adding a 29 yard field goal. Jets 23-14.
After an Arizona three and out, the Jets scored on a Leon Washington 5 yard touchdown run (failed 2 point conversion). Jets 29-14. The Cardinals tried to score but failed on a 4th and 3 on the three yard line. The Jets punted with 50 seconds left, however Kurt Warner was intercepted by Eric Barton who returned it to the house for a 91 yard interception return. Jets 36-14. With 1 second left Warner went for the endzone but was picked off by Ty Law.

So after four weeks of the 2008 season lets take a look at the NFL standings. So far New England and Dallas continue their regular season dominance at 3-0 and 4-0 respectively. Atlanta are surprising the league with a 4-0 start without Matt Ryan. Some major disappointments so far are the Chargers, Tampa Bay and Baltimore who sit at 0-4.

Whisenhunt forced to make some changes, after 1-3 start
Associated Press
Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt has made some changes to his team for their upcoming game against the Bills. Among the changes is veteran Quarterback Kurt Warner who has thrown 8 interceptions to just 3 touchdown passes this season, he threw half of his interceptions on Sunday against the Jets. Former starting Quarterback Matt Leinart will get the job back again this Sunday, as the Cardinals look for their first home win. Tim Hightower though will retain his starting place after a solid performance against the Jets.
On the defense Whishenhunt has demoted Roderick Hood to the third cornerback spot and giving Dominique Rodgers Cromartie the starting job. In addition, Travis LaBoy has been replaced by Antonio Smith at the left defensive end position. Travis has shown that he has struggled to pick up the system in Arizona and is just not getting to the Quarterback.

1-3http://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/cardinals_logo.jpgVhttp://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/bills_logo.jpg2-2
Injuries
Cardinals- Al Johnson (season), J.J. Arrington (Questionable), Monty Beisel (Doubtful)
Bills- Marshawn Lynch (season), Bryan Scott (5 weeks), Derrick Dockery (Questionable)
Notes
Cardinals: The Cardinals are a mess at the moment, they can't decide on a starting Quarterback while their defense is struggling to get off the field. Not to mention the offensive line that hasn't given their quarterback enough time to survey the field and the loss of Al Johnson for the season is starting to show. Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald should continue to have good performances against a modest pass defense. Gerald Hayes has been a ball hawk so far this season with three interceptions and the Cardinals need as much as turnovers as they can get.
Bills: Buffalo have been good on the ground after losing Marshawn Lynch for the season and left guard Derrick Dockery, but the Cardinals defense has been stopping the run lately. The Cardinals pass coverage was abysmal last week and the Bills will need to take advantage of it throughout the game. Aaron Schobel is a key for the Bills on defense, look for him to pressure Matt Leinart into forcing throws.
Prediction
Cardinals 27-17

Matt Leinart threw for 294 passing yards and didn't turn the ball over
ARIZONA- Both defenses looked good early and forced punts throughout the quarter. The Bills kicked off the scoring with a Ryan Lindell 24 yard field goal. Bills 3-0 . The Cardinals responded with a long drive that was ended with a Tim Hightower 2 yard touchdown run. Arizona 7-3. On the ensuing kickoff Leodis McKelvin was carted off the field with a suspected broken elbow, ending his season. The Bills went into the 2 minute drill and Trent Edwards found Lee Evans in the endzone for a 11 yard touchdown. Bills 10-7.
Much like the first quarter, the third was dominated by the defense. Trent Edwards connected with Lee Evans for a 65 yard touchdown to give the Bills a nice lead with 4 minutes left. Bills 17-7. Matt Leinart hit Anquan Boldin for 41 yards and 16 yards in setting up a drive that was ended by Leinart's 3 yard touchdown run. Bills 17-14. The Bills ran the clock down to 1:45 and punted. Boldin and Early Doucet caught long passes and Neil Rackers sent the game into overtime with a 45 yard field goal. 17-17. Arizona won the toss and never looked back with an 11 play drive for 45 yards. Neil Rackers hit a 46 yard field goal, that just squeezed inside the left post, for the win. Arizona win 20-17

Cowboys- Ken Hamlin (Probable), Marion Barber (4 weeks), Bobby Carpenter (season)
Notes
Cardinals: The Cardinals broke their two game losing streak last week against the Bills in overtime. Matt Leinart looked solid against the Bills and will look to continue his form against Dallas. Arizona's pass defense will need to stop the likes of Tony Romo and Terrell Owens if they hope to win.
Cowboys: Tony Romo left last weeks game in the 2nd quarter with an injury and the Cowboys lost to the Bengals. Felix Jones will be the starting running back this week with Marion Barber out. Romo and Terrell Owens should be able to exploit the Cardinals weak pass defense. Demarcus Ware is a key on defense this week as he will pressure Matt Leinart all day.

The rookie out of Arkansas ran for 140 yards and a touchdown
ARIZONA- Dallas started with the ball and got the scoring going with a Nick Folk 43 yard field goal. Dallas 3-0. On their next drive Jason Witten broke a tackle on his way to the endzone for a 14 yard touchdown. Dallas 10-0. When Tony Romo found Roy Williams for a 75 yard touchdown, the boos echoed from Arizona fans. Dallas 17-0.
The Cardinals receivers weren't helping Matt Leinart with 4 drops from 4 attempted passes. However, Dallas punted and Leinart led a drive downfield (helped by an outstanding 44 yard catch by Early Doucet in double coverage) and capped it off with a 5 yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin, his first of the season. Dallas 17-7.
Tony Romo didn't have a good start to the half when he was picked off by Adrian Wilson who returned it to the Dallas 21 yard line. This lead to a 27 yard Neil Rackers field goal. Dallas 17-10. On the ensuing drive, Gerald Hayes pulled off a massive hit on Felix Jones who fumbled into Karlos Dansby's arms. However, the turnover didn't cost them as Arizona punted.
Romo found a wide open Williams from 44 yards out to all but end Arizona's comeback. Dallas 24-10. After failing a 4th and 6, Jones made them pay with an impressive 51 yard touchdown run. Dallas 31-10. Two plays later, Leinart hooked up with Larry Fitzgerald for a 74 yard touchdown catch. Dallas 31-17. Dallas punted with 1:52 left and Arizona failed a 4th and 10 to give the Cowboys the win.

Cardinals- Al Johnson (season)
Panthers- Jake Delhomme (Probable), Jon Beason (3 weeks), Ryan Kalil (season)
Notes
Cardinals: The good thing for Arizona is they are in a weak division, currently they are two games behind Seattle and have only played one divisional game. Larry Fitzgerald is developing some nice chemistry with Matt Leinart and that should continue against the Panther's 21st ranked pass defense.
Panthers: The Panthers have been very inconsistent so far this season and are four games back in the division. Jake Delhomme will start after practicing all week. Steve Smith should have a good game because the Cardinals are struggling to contain the passing game this season. Julius Peppers needs a big game and should be able to dominate against a mediocre offensive line.
Prediction
Cardinals 20-14

CHARLOTTE- After a Carolina punt, Arizona strolled down field and Matt Leinart capped the drive with a 13 yard pass to Early Doucet for a touchdown. Arizona 7-0. On the next possession Roderick Hood intercepted a pass intended for Jeff King. The Cardinals started at the Carolina 40 and Leonard Pope caught a 30 yard touchdown pass from Matt Leinart. Arizona 14-0.
Soon after Arizona stretched the lead to 21 with a Tim Hightower 1 yard touchdown run. Arizona 21-0. On their next drive, Jake Delhomme was intercepted by Cromartie in the redzone and Leinart found a wide open Tim Hightower for a 62 yard touchdown. Arizona 28-0. Carolina finally scored with a 33 yard touchdown from Delhomme to Steve Smith. Arizona 28-7. They got the ball back and scored again through a DeAngelo Williams 8 yard touchdown reception. Arizona 28-14. With 4 seconds left Leinart found Larry Fitzgerald from 41 yards out. Arizona 35-14.
On the first play of the 2nd half Cromartie picked off Delhomme and the Cardinals controlled the ball for 4 minutes. Hightower sealed the drive with a 2 yard touchdown run. Arizona 42-14. Hood recorded his 2nd interception of the game but Arizona couldn't convert the opportunity. However, on the next possession Delhomme threw a ball straight at Chiko Okeafor who caught it. Arizona ran the clock down and punted with 27 seconds left. Delhomme went for the endzone but was picked off by Cromartie, his third of the game.

Week Nine Game Preview- Sunday 2th November 1:00pm
3-4http://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/cardinals_logo.jpg@http://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/rams_logo.jpg2-5
Injuries
Cardinals- Al Johnson (season)
Rams- Brian Leonard (3 weeks)
Notes
Cardinals: The Cardinals looked great last week against a poor Carolina team and this should continue against the Rams. The defense created 6 turnovers, all interceptions and Marc Bulger is known for his erratic throws. Matt Leinart is looking very comfortable in the pocket and the Cardinals couldn't be happier. The Cardinals should be able to stop Steven Jackson if they get their offense going early and make the Rams throw the ball.
Rams: The Ram's season is quickly turning into another disappoint after 4 losses in a row. Steven Jackson is the key for the Rams offense, if he plays well St Louis will have a chance. The Rams 2nd overall pick in the draft, Chris Long has been playing like a veteran this season and will look to add to his 6 sacks on the season against Arizona. The Rams 8th ranked pass defense will meet Arizona's 3rd ranked passing offense.
Prediction
Cardinals 35-21
