I have never done a basketball chise before but this should go pretty well. I am a rookie when it comes to graphics and videos but I will try my best to make this a fun and enjoyable association for all of us to follow.

I am playing NBA2K9 (Best basketball game I have ever played). I'll be doing so on the PS3. Here are some details.

Player Style: Dirk Nowitzki / Kevin Garnett (80 OVR)
I will be playing as the New York Knicks. There is a little bit of a twist thrown into the mix however. I didn't want to do a fantasy draft and I wanted something that would involve me a little more than just playing as the Knicks. Plus this should add some drama and excitement to the chise. Enjoy!

EDIT: I moved this from VSN to PP just get a little more exposure. All of the vids didn't make it. None of the charts with the game stats and player of the game stats made it either. PP doesn't allow chart code for some reason. I will be continuing this here and at VSN. If you want the full effect check it out there. If you don't want to sign up there or whatever, just check it out here. Thanks.

New York Knicks President Donnie Walsh Announcement

http://mmii.info/icons/Celtics001/basketball_NewYorkKnicksA.gif

Ladies and Gentlemen. As many of you know I have been brought to this great and historic organization to provide change. Over the last few years there has been history of losing. I want to bring us back to the glory days. That is why I am announcing that I have made a series of moves that will improve our team now, and in the future.

First and foremost. I have brought in an European player who not many of you have heard of. Paul Novak has spent his basketball career all across the world. He played his high school ball in the Czech Republic. He also played two years of college ball at Prague University. He was then offered a scholarship to Eastern Colorado University. I had a scout in attendance and he noticed that Paul had a tremendous upside to his game. Paul is going to play mostly at the PF position. He will also be playing some SF while we have Randolph and Curry in. From all of the scouting reports I have seen on him he plays a lot like Dirk Nowitzki. He does however have the athleticism of a Kevin Garnett. Paul may be a little undersized compared to other NBA power forwards but we feel that he can further develop his body and gain some more weight. As of right now he is on the roster but will be a prospect as far as minutes go. I believe that with the proper training he can become a valuable asset to this organization.

Second. I have reached an agreement with PG Stephon Marbury. We had a closed door meeting and he has agreed to give us 100% this season. After the season we will see where we stand together.

I hope you all enjoy this upcoming season. It should be a fun opener against the Minnesota T' Wolves on the road.

http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc116/pauln353/NYbanner.png?t=1230890768Breakout For Knicks, Novak

http://mmii.info/icons/Celtics001/basketball_NewYorkKnicksA.gif 91 http://mmii.info/icons/SportsIcon/basketball_minnesotaTimberwolves.gif 82

Minneapolis - The New York Knicks began this season with new Head Coach Mike D'Antoni expected to build a similar offensive team that he had with the Phoenix Suns. After suffering a a horrendous 1st quarter trailing the T'Wolves 27-13 D'Antoni decided to put in the European project Paul Novak. What the Minnesota crowd did not expect was that Novak would drop his first 8 FG attempts. Thanks to Novak the score at halftime was 48-47 T'Wolves.

The T'Wolves fans all went to the restrooms and concession stands at halftime wondering how this had happened. A relatively short skinny PF from Europe managed to bring the Knicks of all teams back from a 14 point deficit in just 12 minutes. When the 3rd quarter started you could see the confusion in the fans eyes when Novak was on the bench. They were happy Novak was benched but why?

After the Knicks fell behind by 8 Novak re-entered the game and by the start of the 4th the Knicks were up 68-62. The Knicks never trailed again thanks to Novak's 29 point 6 rebound 2 block performance. Knick forward/center contributed 18 points and 9 rebounds. The exclamation was when with 1 minute left Knicks PG Nate Robinson slammed a thunderous dunk that silenced the home crowd for good.

Now the question remains. Is Novak a one game wonder or will this kind of play continue? The Knicks home opener will be against the Los Angeles Clippers and their newly acquired star Baron Davis.

Knicks Humiliated In Home Opener

http://mmii.info/icons/feenix007/basketball_clippersnewlogo2.gif 89 http://mmii.info/icons/Celtics001/basketball_NewYorkKnicksA.gif 61

New York - After a promising start to the season on the road in Minnesota, the Knicks came home and showed much of what we saw last season. The Knicks lose of 28 points was so humiliating that at halftime Madison Square Garden was half empty after the game sold out in under 30 minutes.

The only Knick player that shot anything close to 50% from the field was young prospect Paul Novak. Novak shot 8-17 for 18 points. His fellow forward Zach Randolph had 14 points and 11 boards. Jamal Crawford was arguably the worst Knick going 4-15 from the field for 15 points.

Baron Davis had only 18 points but that was mostly because of the fact that he was benched halfway thru the 2nd quarter due to the rout. Davis only played 17 minutes. Chris Caman contributes 12 points and 12 boards. Many coming over Curry and Randolph.

D'Antoni commented after the game. "This was horrible. Just horrible. We missed a dozen lay ups that a 12 year old could make in the NBA. Crawford, Marbury, Duhon. They all will be doing extra lay up drills come morning. We can't expect to make the playoffs the way we played today. Right now we look like a 5-8 win team. We have 27 more games to play. We need to fix this ship soon."

One factor to tonight's poor play could be that the Knicks had 8 days between their season opener and their home opener. This team needs better play from some of the veterans. Young import Paul Novak needs the help.

It's really good guys. You should check it out.

But Novak, you always have Knicks highlights, and the team you're facing highlights. Maybe you should add in NOVAK Highlights! Or like trim the other two down to the Knicks' best play/s, Rockets best play/s and Novak Highlights :)

Maybe like 1 or 2 for the teams, and like 3 or 4 for Novak? (would give us more of an idea how kickass he is, because I haven't seen much of him lately)

Keep up the great work man! :)

T-Mac dunked all over the Knicks tonight.

Houston - The Knicks visited the Houston Rocket tonight. The Rockets led by Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming and newly acquired Ron Artest had a tremendous talent advantage over the lowly Knicks. This was evident from tip off as Yao Ming was dominant on the boards and Eddy Curry couldn’t even contest his shot properly. Tracy McGrady also displayed his high flying dunks on several occasions.

McGrady led all Rockets with 27 points while adding 6 rebounds. Yao added 16points off of offensive rebounds and mostly unchallenged shots under the rim. Ming was also a defensive presence blocking the Knicks on 5 different trips down court. Artest scored 17 and had an all around solid performance with 6 boards, 3 assists and 3 steals.

None of the Knicks could really get into any kind of rhythm today. Stephon Marbury led the team with 17 points while Randolph followed with 12 of his own. Chris Duhon had a solid night with 9 assists and 7 points. European rookie Paul Novak contributed 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while being guarded by defensive specialist Ron Artest most of the night.

With the loss the Knicks fall to 1-2 and 4th place in the division. After the game Paul Novak had his first encounter with the media.

Reporter - Paul, how does it feel to be playing in the NBA?

Novak - It feels very good. I like it very much. I never play for so much fans and it is good feeling.

Reporter - What do you have to say about tonight's game?

Novak - Yao is very tall and athletic for his size and McGrady is so fast. It was good experience to play with these two. I want to get to be like both of them one day. I want to be the tall and the athletic like these two. Now, I have to go to the team bus. Thank you.

(Bad grammar is on purpose. Novak isn't fluent in English)

Dallas - The Knicks played in Dallas just one night after playing in Houston. Luckily for them the trip to Texas is over. Although the score was closer it was still a double digit lose. Something the Knicks a familiar with to start the season. New York has the worst point differential of all the teams besides New Jersey.

Dirk Nowitzki almost single handily could have taken care of the Knicks tonight. He, however didn't. Jason Kidd and Jason Terry also contributed. Each had 20+ points with Dirk grabbing 7 boards and Kidd dishing out 9 assists.

The bright side is that Jamal Crawford found his rhythm from deep and managed to put up 26 points. His first 20+ game of the season. Paul Novak also had 22 points and 3 blocks while starting his first game in the NBA. Many wondered if his start was a sign of some possible moves to come. Zach Randolph was held in check managing only 3 points. Randolph did grab 10 rebounds though.

Approximately 20 minutes after the game Zach Randolph was notified that he had been traded along with fellow Knick PF David Lee. The two are headed with a couple of draft picks to Toronto in exchange for PF Chris Bosh and Toronto's second round pick this year.

Toronto - Ladies and Gentlemen. With the recent uproar over the trade with the New York Knicks involving Chris Bosh I have decided to make an announcement that policy would normally dictate be left confidential. We will be pursuing Lebron James when he become a free agent and with Chris counting against our cap for $14 million we decided it was necessary for his contracts to be traded. We received a first round pick that has the potential to be a 1-10 selection come draft day. Whomever we draft plus James would make us a solid team in the Eastern Conference. We wish Chris the best of luck and thank him for everything he has done for our organization.

Memphis - The New York Knicks came to Memphis with the hopes of starting a winning streak after barely beating Orlando by 2 in OT. This game was never that close as the Knicks stormed out front in the first quarter.

Paul Novak had his best professional game with 30 points and 13 rebounds. His best game since shocking the basketball world in the first game of the season. Chris Bosh also put in a solid performance with 26 points and 6 boards. With Bosh in early foul trouble Novak saw a lot of time at both SF and PF. Once the game was in the bag Novak took a seat on the bench and Bosh came in to clean up and scored 14 of his points in the 4th quarter.

This game was hyped to showcase two of the premier rookies. OJ Mayo and Novak. Both came into this game ranked 1-2 (Mayo, Novak) in the rookie of the year race but with Mayo only scoring 12 points on 4-17 shooting he quickly fell to the 2 spot if not further.

D'Antoni commented. "Novak has been hitting the gym and staying late to work with some of our training staff. He has been working on a lot of mid range jumpers which he had about 10 points from today. This kid loves the game and wants to be the best one day. If he keeps it up and doesn't get exhausted, I think he could do it."

Washington - These two teams were trading buckets all game long. There were a total of 21 lead changes until a Gilbert Arenas 3 pointer with 1:51 to go put the Wiz up for good.

Chris Bosh made a valiant effort to bring the Knicks back to tie it up but fell short even though he had 41 points on the night. Paul Novak chipped in with 24 of his own. The duo of Arenas and Jamison were just too tough to guard at the same time tonight. If one didn‘t score the other did.

“ I think I am going to have these guys work on their perimeter defense this week in practice. We have a tough game against Denver in two days and Carmelo could give us some major problems.” D’Antoni.

It will be interesting to see how Paul, playing the SF spot will handle Melo. Paul looks a lot more comfortable in the PF position. Some of the high flying SF‘s in the league tend to give him some problems.
