BADGERS ARE AUBURN-ED
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/5813/ncgame01bv7.jpg

The top two ranked teams came into the Superdome hoping to come out as National Champions. The critics all picked to ranked Wisconsin to win and take home their first National Championship in school history. But it was the surprise team from the SEC that stole the glory on this day.

http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/9677/ncgame03im5.jpg

The first quarter featured a pair of field goal attempts. While Auburn nailed theirs, Wisconsin missed their 55-yard try to the left. The Badgers' top ranked defense was man handled by the Tigers' offense all game long. The first half ended with a 13-7 lead for the Tigers.

http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/636/ncgame02an1.jpg

In the second half, Tyler Donovan continued his passing attack and accumulated over 250 passing yards. However, he erased all that by turning the ball over multiple times in crucial situations. Hubbard had a career day with 6 receptions amassing over 160 yards and a touchdown. But that wasn't enough to overcome PJ Hill's lackluster day. Auburn took the SEC crown and National Championship in underdog fashion. This year belongs to the Tigers.

This looks similar to last year, tough to go all the way and then loss in the last game. That was a sweet catch by the WR, what grade is he in ?

Yeah, I was dissapointed at the outcome but it was a great year nonetheless. I mean, we beat Michigan who was top ranked at the time and then we went in to Columbus and pulled off the victory there. The receiver was Paul Hubbard who was a senior. It's going to be tough to find a receiver to replace him.

Good news though. I was able to convince PJ Hill to stay another year.

Yeah, I was surprised that Auburn was rated so low. Sadly, I was so caught up in getting through the offseason and onto the next season that I forgot to copy down the recruiting information along with a bunch of other information. If my memory serves me right, I signed a bunch of 4 and 3 star recruits but no 5-stars. I think I had the 6th best recruiting class.

The overall top ranked prospect, who was a wide receiver, went to Florida while the top running back went to LSU.

Sadly, that's all I know.

Madison, WI. - The University of Wisconsin and Head Football Coach Bret Bielema have agreed to a 5-year contract extension. Coach Bielema lead the Badgers to their first National Championship game birth in school history and their first conference championship since 1999. In two seasons coaching the Badgers, he has amassed a 24-2 record and a 1-1 record in bowl games. This offseason, he acquired the sixth best recruiting class in the nation and the high expectations from the folks in Madison.

2008 CAMPAIGN STARTS AS PLANNED
http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/7870/week1ws2.jpg

After the loss in the National Championship game this past January, the Badgers were looking to get back on the winning track. And they did just that. PJ Hill rushed for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns while Evridge threw the ball very well despite his 1 interception. The Badgers won by a comfortable margin as they win in front of their home crowd for the first time in 2008. They have extended their home winning streak to 16 games with this win. They travel to Las Vegas next week to face off against UNLV for the second straight year.

TURNOVERS KEEP GAME CLOSE
http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/3571/week2qi7.jpg

The Badgers came into Las Vegas for their second game this year just as they did last year. And for the second straight year, Wisconsin would come out victorious. But Badger quarterback Allen Evridge made the game very interesting by throwing 3 interceptions and fumbling once. However, his two touchdown passes to wideout Marcus Randle El was enough to escape with a win over UNLV. PJ Hill ran for over 100 yards for the second time this season in as many games but when it came time to punch it in, backup running back Lance Smith took the ball from three yards out.

The Badgers have a bye during week 3 before heading out to New York to face Syracuse. Wisconsin is currently ranked 5th in the polls and hope to improve as the conference part of their schedule grows near.
