Post in here with your thoughts and feelings on the upcoming Fantasy football season. Discuss some studs, duds, busts, sleepers and anything else that peeks your interest.

A question that I ask, is would you rather go for a few superstars and a sub-par or mediocre cast of players around them on your team and risking a thin bench or would you rather go for a lot of sleepers and have a decent core of above average players to make and have a deep bench? Is it better to be riskier, more agressive or conservative when it comes to the draft?

If I get that first pick, I think I'm going LT.....but it may come down to a rare gut feeling that makes me choose otherwise.

If you get the 1st pick and don't take LT you should immediately be booted from the league lol. :p

Cotchery gets no love. He's still only mentioned as a number 3 receiver for fantasy teams. I don't think he's going to jump another tier like he did last year but I think he can maintain if not improve the numbers he put up.

Herm was quoted saying he's glad he broke out and that people are able to see what he saw in practices.

Also look out for Vincent Jackson. Sleeper pick, and that was before Parker was known to be out for 10 weeks.

I think V-Jax may be overrated now because he's everyone's favorite sleeper pick for this year lol

You definitely have to take some risks if you want to win the championship. Being conservative might help you get into the playoffs. But we all know it is that 10th round sleeper pick that helps you win the league.

Lol, I picked up Gore after the first week last year, and he helped carry me to the Championship. I also got T.O. in the 6th round because of all the sh*t surrounding him.

I went into the Playoffs as the 8th seed (Out of 8 teams) and ended up winning the whole thing.

What kinna gay ass league allow the 8th seed out of 8 teams to be in the playoffs?

I wouldn't blame someone if they took Jackson over him. Especially in a points per reception league.

i wouldn't mind someone taking Jackson #1 if I had the 2nd pick :D

Jackson scored 12 more points than LT in my league. (points per reception).

Thats 12 more points than LT, when LT had his MVP season.

I've used ESPN the last 3 years for a league I do with my family. I really like it. Layout looks good and is easy to navigate. The FantasyCast for live scoring is awesome, probably my favorite part.

Really after LDT and Jackson, there's a group of about 5 or 6 guys that are pretty close IMO.

Obviously, being a Niner fan, I like Gore and am not as worried about him getting injured as Terror is. He had the fewest carries last season of any of the top RB's. The Niners are very smart in how they use him and have no plans on upping his workload this season.

lol, as a Seahawk fan I would say Gore as #2.

I'm a big Addai fan, but my opinion on Gore is really high because he torched the Seahawks every time he touched the ball last year. NFC West is killer at the runningback position with Gore, Jackson, Alexander, and Edge.

Yep, the NFC West could likely fill up the NFC Pro Bowl roster at RB.

8) Michael Bush

1. LT
2. S-Jax
3. LJ
4. Gore (I think GOre could even pass LJ. LJ has got to be tired from last year and has missed training camp, I may move Gore up before the seson starts)
5. Shaun
6. Edge
7. Henry (Shanahan f**ks fantasy football every year. Gurantee that Mike Bell gets some starts)
8. Jordan/Bush

BTW, is Bush starting for Oakland? I thought he was still gonna miss the year with his leg. Plus they signed Rhodes, who is the favorite there?

Manny's list is exactly how I'd put them. LOL at Henry above Jackson and Gore. Just because Denver has a great system doesn't make Henry a great back. He's good and will do good in Denver but he's not near the caliber of Jackson, Gore, and Alexander. LJ is 3rd at best. He's set to explode sometime around week 10 with all the carries they give him.

Edge is risky...I'd put Addai over him anyday

I'm staying away from Gore as well. I want to believe we will win this year, but i have a bad feeling.

What are some of the players who will get drafted a lot higher than they should? I can easily see someone reaching for Calvin Johnson especially if he has a few big preseason highlights

In the mock drafts I've done, I actually haven't seen too much of a problem with people taking Johnson too early. There's been a bigger problem with Adrian Peterson.

Jackson will definitely start to creep up there too high.

Another one is Jerious Norwood. He's starting to get way overhyped and I get see him going a lot earlier than he should.
